- We are so excited to have more Patrick Ryan recipes for you thanks to a sponsorship with Kenwood!
This is Patrick's twist on custard cream cookies. Delicious shortbread flavoured with lemon zest and a hint of fresh thyme, then filled with a delicious vanilla crème patisserie.

i saw Patrick Ryan, I clicked the thumb up button without even watching first. I know he is that good.
Patrick Ryan is the best!!! I feel like I’m attending a baking class whenever I watch his videos. More bread videos please 🙏🏽🙏🏽
And he's so adorable.
Patrick Ryan, you're the best! 😍
Patrick Ryan is the picasso of baked food!
I like it, Picasso.
Please, keep the recipes coming. So nice to watch you explain those small details such as "when you kind of think it's there, keep going for another minute", those kind of things make a whole difference when cooking.
Btw, your baguette recipe has been so successful at home, my family (and neighbours) love them.
THANK YOU!!!! This sounds awesome and my kids want to make EVERYTHING now haha I feel this is something all their ages could help with ^_^. Also, Patrick Ryan is a great teacher! Keep up the great work :D
Because of this channel (mainly) I appreciate Patrick Ryan a LOT
Look forward to giving these a go. Look decadent. Perfect excuse to use some of my fresh thyme and a lemon off one of my trees.
Love it,.. More video with patrick
So good. Great teacher 👏
I've always loved this flavor pairing for shortbread, along with lavender/honey. Made these for a friend's brunch, they couldn't stop taking photos..thanks for another great recipe inspiration!
Love Patrick Ryan's recipes always amazing
Love your videos!!! Watching them over and over! Thank you!
Lovely recipe! I would probably also infuse some thyme and grated lemon zest in the warm milk, strain and add to the egg mixture for the custard
I love your videos! Keep me coming!! Blessings to you.
OMG those biscuits sound and look delicious, thank you for sharing!

This recipe is definitely going into my baking journal. I'm looking forward to making these, such a classy biscuit 👌 👍😍

These look so delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe. Nice to see the Kenwood mixer, as I want to get one.
Thank you for sharing.
Delicious!
Nicely done maestro !
There are three things you can watch forever: fire, water, and Patrick baking ^^
I cannot eat it, but with help of our Mother Nature, I’ll make it suitable for my ppl^^ ATB🙏🏻🍀💚
Love this : “... fire, water, & Patrick!” So true : )
Hej Patrick like the work you do ,just one tip i all ways use fine durum flour to pin with it does not cake under your pastry and is much better to roll with + it has a better tast than flour all the best from #jeremysbreadkitchen Denmark
They look yummy as does everything you bake but your kitchen looks so light and airy with a wonderful view from the window I think I’d just chill out and get nothing done
I am trying to avoid eating too many carbs like bread and focaccia, but it is difficult if you share this kind of videos and do not want to try them. Very interesting change of recipe for me. Thank you
Love how it was prepared. It probably taste like citrus cake.
Gracias
I like it.
Picasso.
Who makes the stoneware that Patrick uses? Especially the little pitchers.
I love you Kenwood.. Please sponsor Mr. Patrick more otherwise Patrick won't make videos...
I have a question since I don’t care for custard cream: are these cookies sweet enough to eat on their own? I love the sound of lemon thyme shortbread!
❤️
Yes they would be lovely on their own
Can I use dried thyme instead fresh?
Fresh thyme would be much nicer but you can try dried thyme
looks delicious but such a stiff cookie cream would squish when bitten looks very messy
I realize this is sponsored by Kenwood, but damn it bakers should mix/knead by hand in these recipe videos. Also, PLEASE do an advanced sourdough recipe and a bakery run through!!
Long ago the world use to be busy, but then everything changed when covid 19 attacked. Only Bon appetit master of daily cooking videos could stop boredom, but when the world needed them most, they were racist. My brother and I found a new channel, a channel called Ilovecookingireland. While there recipes are great, they have a lot to learn about UA-cam. But I believe Ilovecookingireland can save us from boredom.
Thanks for all of the pop up ads in the middle of the printable recipe! grr
we are upgrading the website at the moment to resolve all of these issues.
@@ilovecookingireland . Good to hear. Love your channel and recipe's.
@@kenwanless4533 Thanks Ken. Please do email us if you find it too hard to print recipes without ads appearing.
