And that is a wrap on Austria! 🥲 This country was picturesque, darling, and enchanting in every way, and we are so grateful for the golden weather we had while traveling around the country. We’ll definitely be back again in the future! 🇦🇹 Next week, we’re moving on to Country #21 (!!!!!) with a super fun food tour- any guesses where?! 😁 ⛰ Here is a highly-rated day tour to Hallstatt from Salzburg, if you’d like to go with a guide: bit.ly/3WT0WZ1
I love how you guys stop to explain a word or a feeling that encapsulates each place or experience. Also, so cute how Chad stopped to help Claire onto the swing before getting on his. Love it. You guys are the best!!
I’m traveling there from America tomorrow. You two made me even more excited about visiting the beautiful country. You both had me smiling the whole video!
Austria is such a gorgeous, unique, and peaceful country. Both of you are so kind, genuine, beautiful, wholesome, and positive. Greetings from New Zealand 🇳🇿🇳🇿♥️♥️
@@cristikes5477 every country had it clashes if you dig the past. by that measurement, you'll find no peaceful place on this planet. it's not about living in the past.
Great coverage of Hallstatt guys. We were thinking of a day trip from Salzburg and wondered how early you had to leave to make it worth the day? We will be in winter so the days are shorter and that can make a difference of course. Keep the videos coming, love your content.
I got my husband watching your videos back when you were living in your van. We loved watching even Clare cook in such a tiny space. Your videos are getting better and better keep up the great work. We enjoy traveling with you from our couch lol
As a local, I have been fascinated to see your reactions to the sights in Wien, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Hallstatt. But let me tell you, if you want to see even more places, which have this magic aura then I have to recommend christmasmarket in Christkindl, Steyr. If you have enjoyed to see the mining areas I recommend Leoben the iron mining, which is less touristic but in the heart of the green lung of Austria. Besides that, I really love our castles especially Hochosterwitz, Hohen Werfen and Rottenmann. Another activity you have to do is, go hiking up to smaller alpine huts and taste those meals. I am sure those taste even better, especially after a long hike, a great time in the nature, some great ways with lots of wild animals you can take a rest at an alpine hut and relax. Especially in the area of Tyrol and Salzburg there are many cable railways up to the top, where you do not have to hike that much, but still want to get this feeling. A little disadvantage is that those regions are more touristic, so if you want to get the whole traditional life, the traditional feelings of hiking activities I point out that Upper Austria, Styria and Carynthia are the ones you want to visit. All over the world there are so many great places to visit, so it is hard to visit all of them, but those are a list of my recommendations as a local in Austria.
Hi im going to visit hallstatt on Dec, and my hotel will be around at the dock of obertraun. Is Obertraun a nice place to spend the night? Or you have any suggestion ? Thank you before
@@sevianalorensia8891 Obertraun is quite okay - I don't know how good the hotels are there are as it takes me two hours to get there. I would say if you have a bit more time Bad Goisern am Hallstättersee is also a nice Location and I recommend to go to bad Ischl too which would be even closer than hallstatt if you want to see old emperial buildings and architecture. This towns are close to Hallstatt too
"which is less touristic..." Hallstatt is certainly worth seeing, but there is already a lot of tourist hype here. I suspect it is similar to a snowball effect where “eWom” is concentrating more and more on the internet. There are certainly places in Austria that are similarly beautiful but not yet so overrun, but that's also a good thing. 😉 I'm thinking of the beautiful area around the Achensee, Traunkirchen, Dürnstein, the area around Bad Aussee,... by the way, I am also from Austria but I write in English because that is also the language of this channel
So beautiful what you guys do!!! Proud to see you both so young and learning about the world and Sharing your experience in such a wonderful and simplicity!! I love it!!!❤️❤️
Really enjoyed your adventures in Austria, breathtakingly beautiful shots, and your enthusiasm is contagious! The scenery is so soothing you can't help but feel relaxed and happy.
Greetings from 🇨🇭. James and I definitely had a great time in Austria too. We went there for our honeymoon several years ago, visiting the same places as you. We stayed 2 nights in Hallstatt, and loved the salt mine too (isn't the train out of the mine wild!) Keep on enjoying life, Steve and James
I’m so excited my family is going to Austria in May and going to Hallstatt!! Any tips or suggestions on what to do? Even more excited because it looks like Arendelle from frozen and I love Frozen
The cutest couple i've came across on social media ❤. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Have a nice vacation in Europe. If you happen to come by the Netherlands, let me know . 😊❤
I recommend the fantasy tv show “the 10th kingdom” might have to find it somewhere. A lot of it was filmed there and the characters even do the slide thing. Although in the show it’s the place where the dwarfs make magic mirrors.
LOVE LOVE LOVED this video!! Your videos are always so relaxing to watch. Felt like we we were there with you! Also Chad saying “I feel like a chef….. or a prisoner” got me 😂😂
Your vacation destinations are always goals! By the way, I recently came across the new V4 of the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane, and it seems like a game-changer for travelers. Have you heard about it? I thought you might find it intriguing for your future trips.
Hi, Austrian resident here: Don't visit Hallstatt. Its overcrowding is awful, and all the residents are fed up with Instagramming tourists. It's really like going to Venice or to see the Mona Lisa - something everybody does. Do you want to be like a tourist sheep? There are a lot of really cute and relaxed spots you can visit in Salzburg and Upper Austria (like Zell am See, Gmunden, or Sankt Wolfgang - all situated on amazing lakes).
Hello, I'm planning to visit Austria in April/May. Since you are Austrian resident, it will be helpful for me if you can guide me in few things. How to contact you via email?
I didn’t see large crowds of tourists in the video. One resident of Hallstadt said that tourists are good, and that thanks to tourists they earn money.
@@tryexceptions1025 Because a videographer can't take his time in order to chatch a break in the crowds, ooof course! Silly me... And one resident is just soooo representative of all of them, sure... You can choose to be thoughtless disrespectful tourist or you can be a responsible traveller. It seems obvious what you would do.
First of all, she does not pronounce the name of the village in Austria correctly. It is an insult and they should be fined and not allowed to enter Austria for those who do not even care to pronounce the names of cities and people correctly
The people of Hallstatt would be glad if you'd remove this clip. It is a pretty place, but not with 13.000 tourists a day in a village with only 700 people. All have agreed to stop this invasion. There are demonstrations blocking the tunnel. Amongst the messages on the signs: "Think of our children", "This is our HOME" and "We are fed up".
