- In 2019, Entertainment Weekly reunited the cast of the 1997 blockbuster for the cover of the Untold Stories issue dedicated to romantic comedy.
"People come up to me and just say, 'My Best Friend's Wedding!' and I'm like, 'Aww,'" Diaz said at the time. "It's just this joyous feeling that you get off of them. I appreciate that so much." Mulroney was even moved to tears when talking about the film. "I think about these guys every day," he admits. "Because people come up to me and they bring up this movie every day for the last 22 years."

When Rupert Everett got the entire restaurant to sing "I Say a Little Prayer for You" is one of THE greatest movie scenes of all time.
I adore that scene and I thought his acting gave the movie a lift.

Indian film legend Raj Kapoor essayed the role of the sad clown in the film "Mera Naam Joker" who loses twice to his unrequited love interests. He falls in love but stops at voicing his feelings for his love interests.

I have a deep fondness for this movie. My boyfriend died a month earlier and one of his golf buddies took me to see this movie to cheer me up. I was not in the mood for a Rom-Com, but I agreed. It was the first time I had laughed, really laughed in a long time and I remember feeling grateful for those laughs.

I was in a Chicago restaurant when someone came inside & commented that they were shooting a film just outside. It was the scene with the 3 actors in the taxi. I saw Julia Roberts from 30 feet away. I've never seen a more beautiful human. She is completely stunning.

This movie is a classic because of how it deviates from the traditional rom-com in so many ways. The whole cast gave excellent performances.
It really is hard to describe how perfect this film is. You get a different appreciation watching as a teenager, 20-something, 30-something...
After experiencing life, you watch the film with a different set of eyes and it's just as beautiful. Still, to this day, my all-time favorite film.
My favorite line is when Jules is in the bread van yelling at George and says: "Getting what you deserve isn't fair!" It's a moment of self-realization that we've all experienced. :)
Really? I’ve watched this movie as a teen, 20 something, and 30 something and I’ve felt the same the entire time. I hated Jules and thought she was trash and selfish. Still feel that way all these years later. 🤷🏾♀️

Cameron Diaz's energy and vibe is very unique and special and she is beautiful too.
Some scenes were filmed close by my old workplace so I might have walked by Cameron and a crew member a couple of times. I had no idea who she was at the time but do recall a young, slender blonde woman chatting with another guy from the set, presumably hanging out while waiting to be called to do her scene.
Cameron has always had such a unique appearance. She was as the creators wanted her to be. Young and fresh faced.❤️

Julia should be taken as an example by many hollywood stars who believes that plastic surgery and fillers will make them look better. She is in her 50s, you can see her wrickles, and she’s just as beautiful as she’s always been. She is the amazingly well-aged version of her youger self. Kudos to this legend.

When this film came out I was a young woman dreaming about getting married but also interested in career. This film was everything. So gorgeous to watch, so entertaining. Just a feel good perfect film. Love this look back. Adored every member of the cast including the small parts, even the women in the stadium bathroom. The “say a little prayer” sing a long… the best. I’ve watched it at least a dozen times. ❤️

Cameron as Kimmy was so sweet that you couldn't help hate Julia's character - just a little. Even Julianne eventually falls in love with Kimmy. From the opening act to the close - it was just a joy - a movie you could watch over and over again - and have!

This movie is definitely one of the best romantic comedies ever! So many scenes that were done to perfection I loved seeing Julia in a funny I love Lucy type of role. She did it perfectly, and so did everyone else!
I remember sitting in the movie theatre gutted that Julia Roberts hadn't gotten the guy in the end, but I understood that it had to happen. My bestfriend, who I'd gone to see the film with... was worse off. She couldn't move for 5 minutes after the credits had finished she was so upset 🤣

Thank you PeopleTV for this special reunion documentary of 'My Best Friend's Wedding' after 25 years. It's my favorite film of the 90s and I still love it up to now. It's my favorite Julia Roberts film and Dermot Mulroney was a big crush of mine. Whenever I see him in his other movies, I remember him in this film.
it's amazing and ingenius. I had no idea till watching this that the producer (picked by Julia Roberts herself) was also the one behind Muriel's Wedding, an iconic Australian comedy.

This is hands-down me and my sisters' No. 1 favorite romcom. We really, really love the story, soundtrack, cast (Dermot Mulroney was our childhood crush), and the wedding theme. I've rewatched this movie countless of times and everytime I do, it has never failed to evoke new emotions. I remember the first time watching it in high school, I was so against the ending and wanted Jules and Michael to end up together. I even asked my older sisters why didn't they got together. During this time, I started developing feelings for my own best friend. Then I rewatched the movie during college years; I understood why and I felt happy for Michael that he married Kim. At this time, I went to a different university from my best friend and we sort of drifted apart and my go-to song was the movie soundtrack I'll be Okay by Amanda Marshall. Then in my 20s, I felt that I want a straight George as a boyfriend, but then if he's straight then he probably wouldn't be a George. At this time, I discovered that my best friend is in fact gay, so I slowly moved on from my feelings. Now in my 30s, I'm watching this reunion video and feeling excited to rewatch this movie again. I'm still friends with my then best friend. We're not as close as before, but we're both happy. So yeah, I have a life journey with this movie. 🥰
P. S. No. 2 Rom Com for me is Love Actually, and No. 3 The Holiday.

I have to admit, I love this movie! These actors were perfectly chosen and had amazing chemistry. I don’t buy a lot of movies on DVD, but this one I definitely had to own. My favorite scenes are Julie and Dermot dancing on the boat and the last scene of Julia dancing with Rupert at the wedding. This movie brings back good memories!

I grew up on the estate where they filmed the wedding and as a little kid, I used to pretend getting married on the South lawn with a white towel draped over my head and I also share the same name as the one of the characters. Talk about synchronicity; was a little weird and surreal. Thanks for filming that film on the estate and preserving so many memories.
Julia and Dias, even at that age, just start glowing like young girls when they smile. I can't think of other actresses that wear a smile in such a face changing way.

One of my favorites, it never grows old. The characters with these actors performing are perfection. The "look into your soul" moments are so realistic and magnetic. They make the audience feel the emotions. Everyone falls in love with Dermot and want Julia to get him in the end. It is Rupert who makes it ok to come full circle even if you don't embrace the outcome. Perfection.
Everybody walked away from this movie loving Cameron. I remember the cover of a magazine read "There is something about Cameron!" I'm sorry but she made every movie she was in during this time. She was a walking breath of fresh air

I loved this movie when I watched it for the first time, and I'm very happy to see the actors in good shape yet. Cheers for the writer, director, actors, everybody who made it possible. It is a mixture of comedy, romance, but actually a heart-warming story without dramatic situations, except to the best friend.

I love this movie. My favorite scene is at the restaurant when Rupert gets everyone to sing. Who wouldn't love waiters with fake lobster claws swaying and singing a Dionne Warwick song? I loved all the characters but I think I loved Cameron's enthusiastic vibe the most. I gotta go break out the DVD and watch it this weekend.
