This was a great round table and all but like Amy Adams said when she was here, why ask these questions about sexism and ageism within the industry to the actresses? Why not ask the producers, directors, and TV creators these questions? Their answers would be way more informative
YES! I am looking forward towards the other roundtables and see if they took Adams's advice. If they didn't then, why the fuck ask the actresses these questions if they're not going to be allies.

I love Oprah's humility. Even though she's the queen of talk shows and has the most powerful voice in this business, she sits back and once again shows how great a listener she is, and talks only when needed without taking over. Love you Oprah!
Are you serious? She took over from the first breath the commentator took!! She totally took over! She had to wrestle it away from Oprah to get other opinions from the other people! Wonder if she’s going to come clean about lying about her own family for content?
Jessica Lange was the most real - only spoke when she had something valid to say. She shares her personal experience in a non dramatic way and shows how much insight she has into the human condition. She is so psychologically minded. And the best actress!
Jessica Lange speaking about how the body can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s pretend is soooooooooo true. Acting is such a powerful process from start to finish.
It’s called PTSD. The body remembers and the mind, even though it knows it’s not real, cannot understand. One of the the best examples of this IMO is an Iraqi vet back home, driving along the highway and not being able to drive without stopping at every underpass thinking there’s a bomb or stopping at every bit of litter on the side of the road thinking it’s an IED. He knows there’s no bomb but for the life of him, he cannot drive without stopping. PTSD. The body remembers what the mind tries to forget.

Nicole and Jessica are two of my all-time favorite actresses. They are sooo intelligent, and talented, and it's such a pleasure to listen to them speak. Yay for this!
Jessica Lange’s final remarks were so deep, it cut through every single veins i have in my body lol and no kidding nor exaggerating, it was so relatable. Sometimes, the most regrettable moments were the ones you shouldn’t have let yourself go through.
Jessica Lange is so extraordinary. There are no words to describe her acting ability either. "Sweet Dreams", and "Francis Farmer", I mean seriously, and she has something the others just don't have. I mean her Aura is just magnetic...
Jessica Lange is by far the most talented, most humble and gracious actress sitting at that table. She is an iconic legend that can bring any character to life and make you feel and believe anything is possible.
I have seen Reese Witherspoon in a couple of those round tables and she always comes off as condescending with women of color. I believe the only one who genuinely likes Oprah at this table is Nicole Kidman. All of the others are part of the Hollywood crowd who went on her show to promote their movies because she had a huge platform!
I already commented, but I feel like I have to say this too: I am soooo happy to see in the comments that no one has spoken about these women's looks. I almost always find some comment or statement about the women in a video, not here. All the comments I'm seeing are about the content of these women's words, the influence they have, and the way they express their love for their work. I LOVE it!
At first, i was going to comment about my love of Jessica. But after reading the comments, i was so happy to see that I wasn’t alone in my praise of her! She is ELEGANT, calm spirited, very well spoken, respectful, always has a pleasant (usually smiling) look on her face, and is sincere and honest no matter what. I LOVE her! Please Ryan Murphy, being her back! Also, I had heard of Henrietta Lax, but completely forgot there was a movie about her. And finally, just the amount of talent at that one table is astounding!
How is Jessica Lange real?! She is so stunning and articulate. She has almost this ethereal glow about her that just draws your attention. I adore her! ❤
at 31:30 when nicole is talking about Joan and Jessica is almost crying. she gave everything in that performance and you can see its close to her heart.
I haven't even watched the video yet, but Oprah, Jessica Lange, Nicole Kidman and Elizabeth Moss all at one table? I mean... wow, DEAD! I'd kill to be in that interviewer's spot.
I know, it's a shame she's with scientology - though, no denying that's she's an amazing actress; I loved her in Mad Men and her recent work on The Handmaid's Tale.
@@arveengill9418 It was said when Joan and Bette were just beginning to shoot the film, Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte. Trouble arose immediately. Joan had been left in her trailer, asleep, when the entire crew left the place where they had been filming, not letting Joan nor Mamacita know...
These roundtables are amazing. Love the interviewer, as well as how the ladies give one another the space to speak and question and feel. The space to also just sit in the pockets. Phenomenal.
If you think about it the question gives the actresses a chance to express their feelings about that subject. You just watched the round table where they talked at some length about what unexpressed emotions can do to someone, pent up rage, pent up sorrow etc. So the interviewer asks about misogyny, the women get to express themselves if they choose. As a woman you should know that your sex is not often asked about how you feel about things that men control. The female voice is mostly mute so why begrudge them the opportunity to release some pent up emotion about a fucked up circumstance? Cause it is a fucked up circumstance. You see that right?
Kim Valentine good point, menost definitely need to be a part of these conversations. However, I think that the purpose from the very beginning was around misogyny, hence the questioning.
Kym, i've heard of mysoginy plentiful for a life time. repeating the same thing over and over again is mad counter productive. I tune out of that shit. its redundant. I want a story about womyn vfx supervisors, and camerawoman for a change.
Kim Valentine I tended to agree with you until I thought about all the women who voted for Trump and who enable the misogyny of men or exhibit it themselves. Women are part of the problem, and men are part of the answer. It's not the gender that creates the problem, it's the sensibility.
Why do you have a problem with them asking those questions? We need to be asking those questions all the time, especially now since we have a misogynist as president.
Winona Ryder should have been included in this conversation. She had a big year on a HUGE show. It was some of the best work she's ever done, and that's saying A LOT. Remarkable actress!
Even she is invited I am not sure she would come. She is not comfortable with this kind of things or interviews. I can't see her a lot when stranger things promote. Just watch her latest jimmy kimmel interview she looks nervous and shy.
Jessica Lange will forever be iconic and go down in history. Flawlessly beautiful her acting and her grace, just wow and speechless. No words could be enough to describe her ❤️
This was a joy to watch - a group of powerful and inspirational women. But there is something about Jessica Lange, she has this presence and this mystery about her. Truly fascinating just watching her
Really elegant, and she seemed very considerate of the other participants in this round table. It’s lovely to see women supporting women, and especially that they were discussing the wonderful array of female directors, producers, and being honest about the experience that comes from female-oriented shoes, with directors, producers, all-female leads, etc. It’s just so empowering!
Jessica Lange is one of the most accomplished actresses on this panel. She is one of my favorite actresses. I remember her in movies growing up in the 70’s, the post man always rings twice, Francis Farmer, Blue Sky, and my favorite Grey Gardens. What a great actress....
Elizabeth Moss is destined to become a legend. She’s very open and inviting. She truly respects her craft and the celebrity part is beneath her, much like Ms Lange.
Nicole is known to have a high IQ and brought up by parents who were in academic and involved in social issues specially women’s concerns. If you looked at her interviews/accepting awards ,she never draw the praise on herself but emphasize that it is a collaboration- she just serve as a conduit of the director’s and writers vision. That is why I admire her a lot besides her versatility and excellence in acting- very down to earth and respectful but with a big laugh when she relaxes.
Jessica Lange doesn't even have to speak in order to steal the spotlight. Such a strong and beautiful presence about her.

I love Oprah's humility. Even though she's the queen of talk shows and has the most powerful voice in this business, she sits back and once again shows how great a listener she is, and talks only when needed without taking over. Love you Oprah!
I love Oprah ❤️
@@blessingsbest6838 Me too love!
Are you serious? She took over from the first breath the commentator took!! She totally took over! She had to wrestle it away from Oprah to get other opinions from the other people! Wonder if she’s going to come clean about lying about her own family for content?
Oprah is as of now...not who you think she is.
Jessica Lange was the most real - only spoke when she had something valid to say. She shares her personal experience in a non dramatic way and shows how much insight she has into the human condition. She is so psychologically minded. And the best actress!
I cant explain how much I respect and adore Jessica Lange!
I would have loved an interview with Jessica alone. She has stories to tell, and I want to hear them.
Jessica Lange speaking about how the body can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s pretend is soooooooooo true. Acting is such a powerful process from start to finish.
yessss
It’s called PTSD. The body remembers and the mind, even though it knows it’s not real, cannot understand. One of the the best examples of this IMO is an Iraqi vet back home, driving along the highway and not being able to drive without stopping at every underpass thinking there’s a bomb or stopping at every bit of litter on the side of the road thinking it’s an IED. He knows there’s no bomb but for the life of him, he cannot drive without stopping. PTSD. The body remembers what the mind tries to forget.
Jessica Lange's final statement was the perfect and profound ending. Great roundtable.
Nicole Kidman is so elegant and classy ... I love how she holds herself ...
L♡VE #Nicole 💙/💜 Her eyes !! She's dramatically Gorgeous and #extremely talented !!! Thank 🙏 she's in entertainment !! #Reese is so generous & very beautiful, inside & out !! Some years ago, she did a film🤰🏼 in Cartersville, Ga. She came out, & signed Every Autograph #pregnant!! #VeryGenerous 🥰 Thanks so much #Reese #HappyHolidays to you, & your family🎄🎀 #Legendsofusall !
I love nicole but she really looked strange in that outfit and her hair looked almost like a wig. Something a bit unnatural about her look
@@t.wilson9432 noo she's a Queen
Yes but the evening gown??
@@theanswer7136 Yeah ... I don't mind it ... better than anything in MY wardrobe LOL If anyone's dress sense should be criticized ... it's Oprah ... she looks like she's at a book club meeting ... LOL
Im here for Jessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssica freaking Lange
One and only
I though you here because of oprah 😢😂😂😂
Me too
Yessssss
The HR moderator did an INCREDIBLE job here. Give her a raise! Love these roundtables. Love,lOve, loVE, lovE!!!
Seeing comments all about Jessica Lang and I'm so happy I'm not the only one who was mesmerized by her! Love her and her work. A legend indeed
Who’s watching this timeless gem of the iconic Jessica and Nicole’s …in 2024 too. Just pure fun wow!
Jessica Lange just oozes such class and elegance. Yet everytime I see her I sense a tad bit of sadness behind her eyes. I wonder what a legend like her has been through in her life navigating through old hollywood to current times
A hell of a lot
True
it's not sadness it's just maybe because she's very calm so you would confuse it with sadness most people confuse them
@@Oumaïmahajji25 perhaps she’s becoming tired already, I mean she’s been doing this for quite some time now, her career is so extensive yet she keeps working, she’s been working hard for so long now
Nicole Kidman is extremely versatile and fascinating and Jessica Lange... is a fucking queen!
Love this interview and these ladies, but I keep on rewinding to Jessica Lange. She's so clear and profound and endlessly fascinating. Terrific actress and human being!
Oprah: “I’ve barely been in films, I’m scared to act, im so inexperienced”
*cut to 10sec clip of Oprah that moves me to tears, w no context*
Yep, Humility.... she is incredibly Gifted at Putting others on a pedestal.... because she KNOWS SHE GOT IT.... still, really BEAUTIFUL messages she left US in this interview ... always hidden jewels in her arsenal of interviews and How To Do.... GRACE
For real.
Moves you to tears? Oprah? FFS.
@@timlynch5710 It was a hyperbolic joke dude..
She's not a real actress. Someone more deserving should be there.
Look I'm a simple gay, I see Oprah and Jessica Lange, I hit play
😂😂😂
😂😂
Yup.
🎆
Nicole and Jessica 😍
If I see anything with Jessica lange's name. Am watching it. L❤ve her. ❤
Jessica literally doesn’t need to say a WORD because we all know how much of a queen and legend she is 🙌🏼💖
I'm so happy to see Nicole getting so much love in the comments. It seems like Hollywood has forgotten how brilliant she is.
Even though Jessica Lange doesn’t look or sound like Crawford, she captured her essence with such ease and comfort. Incredible performance. She made Crawford human
This interviewer is stellar...asks thoughtful and provocative questions, lets the interviewees finish their answers (doesn't interrupt or cut off, or presume understanding), speaks to everyone and doesn't give preferential treatment to anyone, is not intimidated by anyone, facilitates w ease but still manages to stay at the helm...just brilliant, and a rare gem, especially with a multitude of individuals and personalities! Done with excellence. Brava!
Nicole and Jessica are two of my all-time favorite actresses. They are sooo intelligent, and talented, and it's such a pleasure to listen to them speak. Yay for this!
Jessica Lange's clips and the way she expressed herself in this conversation were just perfect.. what a hypnotizing presence
Jessica Lange’s final remarks were so deep, it cut through every single veins i have in my body lol and no kidding nor exaggerating, it was so relatable. Sometimes, the most regrettable moments were the ones you shouldn’t have let yourself go through.
Chrissie Metz is on fire and yet she is so humble and relatable!!!!! She allows her inner self to come forward in such a beautiful way! My fav!!!!
Jessica Lange is so extraordinary. There are no words to describe her acting ability either. "Sweet Dreams", and "Francis Farmer", I mean seriously, and she has something the others just don't have. I mean her Aura is just magnetic...
Jessica Lange is gold
Not enough from Jessica Lange....she has the most interesting experience as an actor. She has so much to share, tell.
well Nicole did many relevant movies too! DOGVILLE, EYES WIDE SHUT, THE OTHERS, THE HOURS....
Jessica Lange is by far the most talented, most humble and gracious actress sitting at that table. She is an iconic legend that can bring any character to life and make you feel and believe anything is possible.
so true!!
If you haven't seen the Postman Rings twice......with her and Jack Nickleson....ITS A MUST!!!!
I am always just waiting for Jessica Lange to speak up.. ❤️❤️
Jessica Lange in American Horror Story was amazing. She's phenomenal 😍
Nicole Kidman seems like such a gentle spirit! Adore Oprah Winfrey!
Her pops was a child molester!
And she’s so uppity acting
She’s so fake. She’s pure evil, explicit with child abuse and torture
Everyone over-talked Nicole or cut off the end of sentence.... are you guys Reese is evil or Nicole?
I already commented, but I feel like I have to say this too: I am soooo happy to see in the comments that no one has spoken about these women's looks. I almost always find some comment or statement about the women in a video, not here. All the comments I'm seeing are about the content of these women's words, the influence they have, and the way they express their love for their work. I LOVE it!
Honestly I just saw Jessica Lange and clicked on the video, what should I say Im a simple man, I see Jessica Lange I watch it.
Jessica should win the Emmy
That shows you her humility to her craft.
I just love her.❤. She appreciates her talent been admired by another great actress.
I haven't even watched the video yet, but Oprah, Jessica Lange, Nicole Kidman and Elizabeth Moss all at one table? I mean... wow, DEAD! I'd kill to be in that interviewer's spot.
Lionel Baker indeed! this one is my favorite round table
except for scientologist cultie moss...
Mine too!
I know, it's a shame she's with scientology - though, no denying that's she's an amazing actress; I loved her in Mad Men and her recent work on The Handmaid's Tale.
Lionel Baker love how you left out Reese 😂😂😂
"The answer to feeling unattractive isn't to make yourself even uglier!"
Brilliant 👏🏿
Her deliverance of that line was so powerful it actually made me stop this video for a second
That line was insane. I loved it.
When was that said sorry
It was a scene that should've won Jessica another deserved Emmy!
More of Jessica Lange! My absolute favorite. Fantastic artist, just love her.
At 68 Jessica outshines them all!
Claude Renaud you’re sexy! What’s your Instagram?
Claude Renaud she is radiant beauty, inside and out!
To be fair Nicole is not far behind she’s 54
It is so true. I have always found her to be a completely senusal woman.
Jessica Lange has a commanding quiet presence... silence is golden for sure.
Jessica is a masterclass actress...MY favourite actress EVER.
These roundtables are amazing. Love the interviewer, as well as how the ladies give one another the space to speak and question and feel. The space to also just sit in the pockets. Phenomenal.
Though you could tell Reese is so fake.
And THEN the iconic Ms Lange spoke and Every single person listened, agreed and learned how Not to say Yes!
I love Jessica Lange so much, just her sitting there she conveys such a strong presence ❤️ i love you girl you're the best
I'm so OVER these leading questions about misogyny. Let them talk about their work and ask the men these questions for once.
Dusty Larsen Yeah but who do you remove to add her?
Mike Killagreen Nobody. Just add her.
the best work she's ever done? oh my god the cringe
Even she is invited I am not sure she would come. She is not comfortable with this kind of things or interviews. I can't see her a lot when stranger things promote. Just watch her latest jimmy kimmel interview she looks nervous and shy.
D G.G. Like I care what you think. Who are you?
Jessica Lange is just...WOW
Jessica Lange will forever be iconic and go down in history. Flawlessly beautiful her acting and her grace, just wow and speechless. No words could be enough to describe her ❤️
This was a joy to watch - a group of powerful and inspirational women. But there is something about Jessica Lange, she has this presence and this mystery about her. Truly fascinating just watching her
Jessica’s measured poise is amazing! Never a word out of place. Graceful
The 3 Queens on the same side of the table:Oprah,Nicole and Jessica are just royal blood in terms of talent
I mean, Nicole is not only beautiful, she has something that can’t be explained, beauty class intelligence...the whole package. Magnificent woman
😍
Really elegant, and she seemed very considerate of the other participants in this round table. It’s lovely to see women supporting women, and especially that they were discussing the wonderful array of female directors, producers, and being honest about the experience that comes from female-oriented shoes, with directors, producers, all-female leads, etc. It’s just so empowering!
Too much plastic work. Her face is a flat screen tv
@@loritaylor383 Lori Taylor. Jealousy is Ugly !!!!!
@@loritaylor383 I hate to agree but she did have a very strange look about her in this interview

I love them all, but Jessica is amazing. Her character in Feud is so layered..... so rich
57:00 the way nicole is looking at jessica. LEGENDS
She was in love
I binge watched The Handmaid's Tale. They're right. I'm fucked up and can't get out of bed.
Lindsey Grace Williams I started watching it but it was so depressing I stopped
I binged season 1.... I have not been able watch the second season😶
I did the same with big little lies
JESSICA Lang is just so gorgeous and a great actress
Jesus Christ, how can someone be so talented, smart AND absolutely, stunningly beautiful as Nicole Kidman. I COULD NOT CONCENTRATE!
Sarmad. IT'S CALLED COSMETIC SURGERY AND BOTOX.
S C . What is Botox have to do with intelligence and talent and beauty. Botox doesn't make you beautiful
S C It's called extreme jealousy !! Jealousy is Ugly !!
My queen: Jessica Lange.
❤😍👸👑 Love her. She's our queen
jessica lange pure class, words of wisdom!
Jessica Lange sounds like a 1950’S movie star at some points lmao
Jessica has become one of the greatest actors of our time. I love her! This was a great roundtable.
