simply because TOO MANY prosecutors do NOT WANT TO LOSE A CASE and tarnish their win % in court. if all they have is Circumstantial evidence and NO BODY, then the odds of convincing a Judge is immaterial you have to convince 12 hand picked MORONS, half of which are picked by the defendants expensive lawyers. the state is not gonna fork much money over on a case of this nature.... unless a benefactor steps in or fund raisers / crowd sourcing raises money to hire a hot shot that can really put the pressure on and convince the 6 morons the prosecutors got and convince the 6 morons the defendant's attorney picked knowing they'd be near impossible to convince so you have to REALLY break their hard exterior and interior and morality. they'd slander the missing girl and make the guy out to be really harmless and could NEVER do such a thing. its disgusting. several little phrases like "if you wanna stay healthy, stay out of hospitals" "if you want justice, STAY OUT OF A COURTROOM" even if he is guilty, a guilty verdict is not 100% in a jury trial which is exactly what he'd do. spend a ton of money on it; were you listening? he ENCRYPTED HIS PHONE SO POLICE COULD NOT GET INTO IT.. with modern technology. idc if he encrypted it, go online, drop a couple hundred or more, any hacker would HAPPILY GET A KICK OUT OF SOLVING A CASE BY BEING THE GUY WHO CRACKED THE ENCRYPTION. also he didn't say how he encrypted it. how did they get cell phone tower ping locations but breaking the phone wouldn't do anything from investigating it? he obviously isn't stupid. so if he did murder her, he's going to get away with it. if he ever goes to trial for it with ONLY THIS MUCH AS "EVIDENCE" - NO body and only tower pings and they FAIL TO CHARGE HIM, then he will NEVER get charged if it is discovered 5 minutes after the case ends. he could legit admit to it after the gavel is heard when the judge hears "not guilty" 12x and from the foreperson. and they could not TRY him again because of DOUBLE JEOPARDY. do you get it now? lawyers are disgusting. juries are generally the lowest IQ pool in america and that's a HARD TASK TO PULL OFF. if you've ever served jury duty its either because you WANTED TO and you're nosy OR you're an idiot... who could not get out of being part of someone else's life or death decision, arguing with 11 strangers, interrupting your life, etc... for what? i do NOT trust juries and i do NOT trust police anymore. if it was a case of an ATF agent, then they 10000% would NOT try the case EVER because ATF has almost trillions and would without question tamper with the jury selection process and those who were picked. life is cruel; we live on a prison planet. wake up
The Relisha Rudd story is so sad especially if you live in DC, this little girl was failed by the adults in her life and unfortunately due to circumstances, I think Relisha is no longer alive 😢 I really appreciate Mike doing videos like this because stories of missing people often get lost. ☹️
Right? At least if they're dead and solved, you can lay them to rest and grieve. But not knowing if they're out there being trafficked or held in a basement. It's terrible.
The tragedy regarding Relisha Rudd has always caused a lump in my throat as she was such a lovely girl who seemed to smile easily, thoughtful and kind to all. Relisha suffered such tremendous hardships but seemed optimistic at all times. Relisha had so much of life for her future and was just a little girl whose presence was what lead to her death. I will forever be heartbroken regarding her disappearance, along what the horrors which she experienced towards her death. RIP Relisha Rudd wherever you may be 💔💔
Makes me a little weak to think that she never had a chance. I wouldn't be shocked to find out that her mother sold her to that guy. Not reporting her missing is telling of something anyway.
18:22 This missing person case regarding Kaitlin,…She never left her ex-stepfather’s house alive. He knows what happened and where he got rid of the body of what should have been a stepdaughter he loved and protected. He holds the answer to that mysterious disappearance!
It's very obvious that he does. Unfortunately, because there was no evidence of her being at his house or of foul play, he can't be charged with anything because there's no proof of anything.
Folks that live in those hills hate being called Hillbillies. Its like when Trump called his former Attorney General a dumb southerner. It pissed off a lot of Appalachian folks. Its derogatory and insulting. I wonder if Mick would like being called a drunken dumb Paddy. Do ya see?
My parents were "hillbillies" Born in Kentucky, My parents have been very successful as a Real Estate Broker, My Mom was a homemaker. My Grandfather's brothers are the typical "Hillbillies". And they were real nasty. But my parents were tnd up people. Moved to Phoenix, AZ
Having seen Missing 401 and other disapearances of children in the woods, one thing i'm noticing is how authorities often underestimate the capabilities of children to walk and climb great distances. I remember a case where a child was found so far out of the search perimeter, they didn't believe she/he had gotten there themselves, even there was evidence that they had (clothes were ripped from barbed cattle fences in the path the child would have taken).
Please don't watch and therefore support this Missing 411 bs. It's a cheap money grab on the backs of many many families who actually lost their loved ones.
About the one about Russell.. People in the urban exploration community often swap info using usb drives and the like as they tend to explore and research places that could get them into trouble. It's also reminiscent of a geocaching type scavenger hunt. You get an information packet, often on a usb drive, with the clues and have to figure out where to go.
Hey Mike! Been watching you for years. Your content helped inspire me to work for law enforcement, and now I work with missing persons cases, one of them even being the Katelin Akens case! Thank you for covering things like this and inspiring people all over the globe!
Some of these cases are unexplained disappearances, but with others, it is pretty obvious what happened. It's just that authorities are hesitant to press charges without definitive physical evidence and/or a confession.

I live in the area where she’s from and every year on the anniversary, billboards come up for her and the sheriff’s office posts about her disappearance. I hope she gets found
Much more important than her body being found is her stepfather being charged with her murder. How the hell he's walking free with such a strong circumstantial case against him, bugger only knows!
@@glamdolly30 If I could like that comment 10000 X's, I would!! It seems with just the small amount of circumstantial evidence Mike shared, James would be convicted!!
@@glamdolly30my guess is they're reluctant to charge him because not all of the circumstantial evidence is strong and can be explained away by a good lawyer. If he is found not guilty in a trial like that, which is much more likely than In a traditional trial, they can't charge him again should her body ever be found. A trial based on circumstantial evidence will have a harder time to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. 😔
@@dorirori2119 I'm sure you're right. I'm not familiar with the Katelin Akens missing persons/murder case. But I do know there is a ridiculous but sadly widespread prejudice that circumstantial evidence (as opposed to forensic evidence), is somehow weak/inferior, and in some eyes, not evidence at all. That is plainly ridiculous! In fact circumstantial evidence can be a powerful and compelling indication of a suspect's guilt. A very learned British lawyer once explained forensic vs circumstantial evidence to me, in the following, brilliant way: Forensic evidence, eg DNA, fingerprints, camera and phone data etc, is a single, unbreakable steel cable linking the suspect to the crime. Compelling circumstantial evidence, in sufficient quantity, forms a multi-stranded steel cable that is every bit as strong as the single forensic cable - and indeed can be even stronger!
Yeah, I was REALLY trying to hold out sympathy for Tamika, but I lost it when it was revealed she forged a note from a fake doctor. At that point she KNEW her daughter was missing, how am I supposed to believe she ISN’T complicit in Ralisha’s disappearance?
As for the brick layer guy it's much more likely he went to the bunker check out the brick building since that's his whole thing, and satanic murder is as believable as ghosts hahaha. Could definitely see someone killing him for the money
The blink and you'll miss it vanished sounds like sinkholes but I'm sure they considered that, but yeah that poor girl never has a chance and I'm glad that scumbag offed himself, with the money we have as a country we could spend 1% of our military budget and gave the most pristine foster care system, healthcare, child support, education.. It's a joke that so many still live in poverty
I don’t see how some of these people don’t get caught . I mean that James guy doesn’t look like he could outwit a turnip , yet here he is free to live his hopefully pathetic and lacklustre life .
Making assumptions about a person's mind because of superficial qualities... that sounds familiar... like I might have heard a missing girl's mother say something similar. I don't know where, though. I'm sure the reasoning is solid. I guess he couldn't have done it.
@sandrak I don't think it's cause he's a mastermind and cleaned up everything perfectly. I think he got lucky with everything breaking his way. Happens once in awhile. In this day n age of cameras everywhere he just got lucky there was none around. Also what helps James out is unlike most suspects that Crack under interrogation is he keeps the same original story straight. Most suspects change details or stories completely and that completely clues in detectives somethings off. James either did it or she got sex trafficked by someone else or James and someone else.
I don't know very well the case, but could be that the German couple drugged the father's coffe or something, then followed them and took advantage of the situation? It's odd to abduct a 10yo boy but Portugal is very close to Spain and it's like the European capital of child trafficking... could this being a theory?
I thought maybe he was snatched at the diner area and the parents gave chase in the truck. That could explain the irratic driving and why he wasn’t found. Maybe they pushed him from the truck when they realised they couldn’t control it and so he wouldn’t be in the crash and therefore he was much much further away.
Cases like this make me so sad and creeped out. I can't even fathom what it's like for the families, it's maddening just listening to these in short form and having no answers. It's so frightening.

raisers / crowd sourcing raises money to hire a hot shot that can really put the pressure on and convince the
6 morons the prosecutors got and convince the 6 morons the defendant's attorney picked knowing they'd be
near impossible to convince so you have to REALLY break their hard exterior and interior and morality.
they'd slander the missing girl and make the guy out to be really harmless and could NEVER do such a thing.
its disgusting.
several little phrases like
"if you wanna stay healthy, stay out of hospitals"
"if you want justice, STAY OUT OF A COURTROOM"
even if he is guilty, a guilty verdict is not 100% in a jury trial which is exactly what he'd do. spend a ton of money
on it; were you listening? he ENCRYPTED HIS PHONE SO POLICE COULD NOT GET INTO IT.. with modern technology.
idc if he encrypted it, go online, drop a couple hundred or more, any hacker would HAPPILY GET A KICK OUT OF
SOLVING A CASE BY BEING THE GUY WHO CRACKED THE ENCRYPTION.
also he didn't say how he encrypted it. how did they get cell phone tower ping locations but breaking the phone
wouldn't do anything from investigating it? he obviously isn't stupid.
so if he did murder her, he's going to get away with it.
if he ever goes to trial for it with ONLY THIS MUCH AS "EVIDENCE" - NO body and only tower pings
and they FAIL TO CHARGE HIM, then he will NEVER get charged if it is discovered 5 minutes after the case ends.
he could legit admit to it after the gavel is heard when the judge hears "not guilty" 12x and from the foreperson.
and they could not TRY him again because of DOUBLE JEOPARDY.
do you get it now?
lawyers are disgusting. juries are generally the lowest IQ pool in america and that's a HARD TASK TO PULL OFF.
if you've ever served jury duty its either because you WANTED TO and you're nosy OR you're an idiot... who could
not get out of being part of someone else's life or death decision, arguing with 11 strangers, interrupting your life,
etc... for what? i do NOT trust juries and i do NOT trust police anymore.
if it was a case of an ATF agent, then they 10000% would NOT try the case EVER because ATF has almost trillions
and would without question tamper with the jury selection process and those who were picked.
life is cruel; we live on a prison planet. wake up
yea if that evidence were presented to a jury they'd find him guilty. but then again there's the csi effect, so who knows
That's wat I was thinking it's obvious he did or know sumn
Exactly what I was thinking.. he DEF killed her.. ugh
Easiest conviction ever.
The Relisha Rudd story is so sad especially if you live in DC, this little girl was failed by the adults in her life and unfortunately due to circumstances, I think Relisha is no longer alive 😢
I really appreciate Mike doing videos like this because stories of missing people often get lost. ☹️
I hope so , so she is not suffering getting turned etc 😢
Well, James is incredibly guilty.
Yes . I'll call that case unprotected, not really unsolved.
Fr, idk why that guy hasn't been charged, but that is wayyy too many red flags to just ignore.

Duh!!!!!
Yes I agree its never ending to what the imaginations of people missing their loved ones think are horriffic possibilities. It's never ending grief 😢
Yes!!
I try to put myself in the parents shoes and it’s so painful it’s honestly unbearable.
The kid´s shoes showing up on the parents second house...that would haunt me forever
Like they didn’t check from the beginning? Since it was in the area of the car
Glad you covered this Relisha Rudd . I live in the DMV (DC, Virginia, Maryland) and this still haunts us.
Yes watching from the DMV too 🙏💕
18:22 This missing person case regarding Kaitlin,…She never left her ex-stepfather’s house alive. He knows what happened and where he got rid of the body of what should have been a stepdaughter he loved and protected. He holds the answer to that mysterious disappearance!
They should have the 'truth drug' in use for suspicious people like him.
False
It's very obvious that he does. Unfortunately, because there was no evidence of her being at his house or of foul play, he can't be charged with anything because there's no proof of anything.
“Half man, half beast; also known, as Hillbillies” 😂😂😂😂 I love his dry humor!
Folks that live in those hills hate being called Hillbillies. Its like when Trump called his former Attorney General a dumb southerner. It pissed off a lot of Appalachian folks. Its derogatory and insulting. I wonder if Mick would like being called a drunken dumb Paddy. Do ya see?
So I'm in Essex County NJ n this town calls its HS team Hillbillies. Gross. Were 37 ft from Newark n ur a friggin' hillbilly? Christ?
My parents were "hillbillies" Born in Kentucky, My parents have been very successful as a Real Estate Broker, My Mom was a homemaker. My Grandfather's brothers are the typical "Hillbillies". And they were real nasty. But my parents were tnd up people. Moved to Phoenix, AZ
Not all "hillbillies" are "half man, half beast"! Those bad ones make the good ones look awful!
There’s nothing like a sweet southern hillbilly chick.
Missing 411

Thank you for covering Katelin Akens! I submitted a request for this case a few months ago on the anniversary of her disappearance.
A very learned British lawyer once explained forensic vs circumstantial evidence to me, in the following, brilliant way:
Forensic evidence, eg DNA, fingerprints, camera and phone data etc, is a single, unbreakable steel cable linking the suspect to the crime.
Compelling circumstantial evidence, in sufficient quantity, forms a multi-stranded steel cable that is every bit as strong as the single forensic cable - and indeed can be even stronger!
This is the least suspicious of all the stories. It's clearly her step dad...hardly a mystery. Hope he's brought to justice.

Maaan I know Tamika was in a rough spot and vulnerable herself. But it really is tough to not hate her for what happened to Ralisha man.

I'm hoping your day tomorrow is far less sad.
The first story is so tragic, the family losing two people in such a sudden and horrific way and then having no idea what happened to the young boy.

This. And many of her childhood friends have come forward saying she had accused him of molesting her on at least one occasion. 💔
@kaseycarpenter he musta been in the perfect area where no cameras are. In this day n age of technology tracing and cameras everywhere usually most get caught. I was wondering about molestation. I thought I heard that somewhere before. So that makes sense he offer her. The one thing he is smart about is never changing his original story.
