I have an Umidigi Bison GT2 Pro 5G, an iPad 9th Gen and an Alienware gaming laptop with RTX 2060, i7 9750H, and 16GB RAM. But soon I’ll switch to the Samsung ecosystem.
I'm happily in the Samsung Ecosystem. And it all works quite well together. Samsung Notes, in fact, can replace several Docs apps. One UI is actually quite functional. You can drop files back and forth between devices no problem (in fact they released this so all Android devices can use it now) . The new AI features are quite useful. And the Tablet works well as a second screen in unison with your laptop. I'm quite happy.
Quick Share is a good example for Samsung Galaxy users wish I had, but Microsoft is adding native phone support to File Explorer. You'll be able to access it like any other drive but wirelessly. So a bit different than sharing a file.
Cross device Copy and Instant Hotspot are exclusive to Samsung Galaxy phones but you don't need to be using a Samsung laptop. Use both on my Surface devices.
I got my Samsung book 4 edge for $999. Make sure you download all the new drivers. I almost returned it because it was glitchy but after the driver upload it works very smooth 🎉
I'm kinda caught up in Apple's ecosystem so I don't know if I'd be able to switch, but if I would - Samsung is definitively the only choice. They're the only ones coming anywhere close to having an ecosystem that can rival Apple's.
Talking about rivaling apple and not talking about beating them is not nice. In my opinion, the Samsung ecosystem is better than Apple(because there are just multiple choices for you to choose from)
The power is in not having an ecosystem. Don't like the new iPhone tough, don't like the Apple Watch tough. Windows/Android I pick the best laptop, best phone, best watch for me.
I completely understand. I have 15+ years of stuff in Apple ecosystem BUT I started weaning my self off about 2 years ago. I bought an S8 Ultra because the larger tablet format intrigued me. I had not owned a Galaxy phone since the Note 5. LoL I remember removable batteries. That said, I fell in love with the S8 Ultra & then got an S23 Ultra. Now I'm waiting on my Fold 6, Ultra Watch & Ring to arrive. Switched to buying books on it Kindle & Movies on Prime so now I have access to my stuff in any ecosystem.
I hope Samsung steps it up with the Galaxy Book 5 series.. but seeing the Book 5 Pro 360 Im starting to think otherwise.. I just want them to improve the build and add a haptic track pad, thats literally all they need in my opinion. I kinda want them to stop trying to make the "thinnest and lightest" laptop possible because I like laptops to have a bit of a weight. And the wedge design sucks they should adopt a more squared off design, and it would give them more space in the laptop to for extra storage or ram, or a better processor.
I found there any still many more ecosystem apps that just wont work without a Galaxy laptop. Only because of that most likely my next laptop will be Galaxy Book Edge
Hello, I was also very interested in the integration into the Samsung system but ultimately many features do not require a Samsung laptop. Copy paste works on all Windows computers as long as you have a Samsung phone. Finally, the only interesting feature, you did not mention it, is the fact of having a continuity of its mouse On your phone. It also works on Samsung tablets and can be interesting like Apple sidecar. Otherwise, you will have 90% of the features available if you have a Samsung phone and a windows laptop.
Samsung's ecosystem has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY better over the past ten years, and now it is quite good, but still has bugs and still has room for improvement. The Samsung Galaxy Book should automatically recognize all your Samsung devices but NO, there are still some issues trying to get things paired and recognized, such as my Galaxy S23 Ultra is useless unless my phone is unlocked, but the option to unlock it from my Samsung Book isn't availiable, so I have to keep unlocking the phone myself after it times out, that's frustrating.
Samsung Gallery for Windows isn't showing you what's on your phone but what you're synchronising to OneDrive, but OneDrive is built into Windows so there's not really a benefit to use Samsung Gallery. You also have to be a OneDrive user or it's a very basic picture viewer.
Even the instant Hotspot and copy sync are available on any pc. I have them on an old hp laptop running Windows 11 24h2. The only selling point for the laptop is that unique anti reflective oled screen
What would you consider the most important component in an ecosystem system that should always be updated to the latest technology upgrades; between the computer, smart phone, tablet, or smart watch?
Dude, samsung now offers 7 years of software update which is now longer than what apple offers. Besides, I've not seen anyone use any phone for up to 7 years
@@malithaw I literally replied to his reply "thank you!" Then clicked the link, and also saw it was the laptop wallpaper not the phone and deleted my reply 😭
I actually have a SGB4 16 and it is simply a windows laptop with a worthless and useless AI experience. The laptop performs well but is pricey for what you get. Display was good. Hated the trackpad because it was too sensitive and thankfully it is not like a mac. The advantages of the SGB4 is it is lightweight and is more power efficient than an intel/amd. I am not a materials snob so it did not even strike me about whatever you noticed.
I use S24+, mac mini, Windows, and Linux server together. I don't understand what's the problem. These can all communicate with each other. Ecosystem marketing is stupid.
There are little things Apple offers like open a document on one and then the other and it'll open in the same place, but yeah exactly all the important stuff works across devices.
The ecosystem approach is not for a high level/power user like yourself. If youre using Linux then you dont "need" the convenience. You know enough to create your own solutions to any computer/ device problem. Most people are barely computer literate, so the magic of things just working is attractive. We know that its not magic because we know the trick but most peole dont. They also may not care.
What ecosystem are you locked into? If you're not locked in, what's your setup like?

If we're talking strictly hardware/devices, Samsung's ecosystem is even bigger than Apple's i.e. fridges, air conditioners, TVs, rings, etc. 😂

Good. I'm going with the Samsung ecosystem.
I would like to buy a Samsung laptop (for the ecosystem) but I'm not yet convinced
What icons are you using on your s24 to make the all white?
Samsung- S24+ phone, Tab S8 Ultra, Buds pro and Watch 4 ( soon to upgrade), thanks.
Please do a review of Tecno camon 30 premier 🙏🙏🙏 I really like the phone

They have far fewer bugs compared to other OEMs and Apple software, especially iOS.
Better than book 4 pro 360?
I'm curious too
Will the Samsung laptop work with Xiaomi/Poco phones?

No worries on that anymore. 7 yrs for phones is crazy!

Hey, which one should i choose? Book4 edge or Book4 Ultra?
I have an S24 Ultra
Book4U if you got the money.
my only moan is that Samsung calendar is not available on Samsung laptop
Which icon pack are you using in your S24+ ?
Samsung features like copy and paste don't work out the box. You have to mess with setting and open software to get it to work.
You can Use Grammar Assist , in every browser on Galaxy Book 4 , if you have Galaxy S24 Ultra?
Yo where can I find that wallpaper?
