This is not the Woodstock you think it is. This festival is in Poland and recently changed the name to Pol'and'Rock Festival. It's one of the biggest festivals in Europe with a record attendance of 750.000 visitors. The Sabaton show was mindblowing, I've been there. The best songs from this show are Uprising, 40:1, Carolus Rex and Metal Crue
Not really. Yes they are quite popular because of the WW2 themed songs, where of course Poland plays a major role, but i think there are more known bands.
Bro, you NEED to watch 40:1 from this same concert. It's about a small Polish bataljon holding off a force which outnumbered them 40 to 1 for quite some days in WW2. This concert is Woodstock in Poland, so you can imagine the atmosphere during this song. It's a must see if you like Sabaton live, trust me on this one! Long time fan
I agree, it is a great song and video. My only issue with the song is probably an unintentional slight on Sabaton's part in that it was 42,200 Nazi troops against a maximum estimate of 720 Polish troops which would mean it was actually at least 58.6:1 if not higher depending upon the estimate, and that's not counting the tanks on the Nazi side. Though, as i said, i'm sure it was an unintentional mistake on Sabaton's part and don't actually hold it against them.

It's a good song because it's based on the senseless slaughter that was WW1 and it makes you think and when you look at the loses on both sides especially at the Somme and Verdun and when you think about all those who died and the scale it brings a tear to your eyes it does with me anyway.
As a student of Antique History (and having spent a lot of time on classic Greece) Sparta is my favourite of Sabatons songs. For one they dispel the myth that they were only 300 Men defending that pass. 300 Spartiates, yes, but on the final days they still had around 700 Thebans with them, meaning that there were around 1000 men covering the retreats of the other around 6000 soldiers. But, more importantly, it really is just a great song.
In the first world war front line only move a few hundered metres per month. The Ghost division moved 200km (135ish miles) in one night! Thats why they are the Panzer elite, born to compete... Ghost Division!
YES!!!! By the way they recently started a history channel on UA-cam where they sit down with a historian and he explains in depth the battles and wars behind their songs so far they have done 40:1 (the battle of Wizna) and blood of bannokburn - what happened after braveheart in the Scottish revolution It’s worth checking out.
Sabaton is the single best live show I've ever seen, and I'm SO GLAD they have the support in the US now to have headlining tours. I've been to six of their shows and will happily go every time they tour. Second to none
Something Sabaton inspires in its fans is the sense of pride their songs bring up. When you this incredible music start up, and then realize the song is about a famous hero or battle of your history it makes you want to hear more.
This was at Woodstock Festival Poland in 2012, the crowd is estimated at 550K. They also filmed their first DVD at this concert. If you want a gear change, Sabaton also performs an amazing Power Ballad called "Ballad of Bull" about an Australian Service member in WWII who successfully carried a dozen wounded men out of combat to live another day. Easily one of my favorite bands of all time.

I figured I should also say that the first time I ever saw Sabaton in concert was in Charleston SC. They were an opening band for Trivium. After they played and Trivium was getting ready to play afterwards, my gf and I left to go back to our hotel room. I had the worst headache from singing along with Sabaton during their show. It was amazing. When we got back to our hotel, I pushed the button for the elevator and I heard somebody say "Hey, I love your shirt". Turned around and it was Chris and Hannes from the band, they bombarded us and we got to hang out for about 20 mins, took some pics with them, and they even got the rest of the band to autograph our cds. For the first time seeing these guys in concert, and meeting them afterwards, it was AMAZING!!
Glad Sabaton brings you as much joy as they do to me!! Congrats on your engagement man!! Oh and more Nightwish soon please ... maybe Stargazers live at Wembly 🤘🏻😬🤘🏻

A couple of years ago, Nightwish did a US tour, with opening bands Delain and Sabaton. All these people obviously only care about them getting their song reacted to because I haven’t seen one comment congratulating u on your engagement.
I wish you could react to The Lost Battalion by these
TWILIGHT FORCE! TWILIGHT FORCE!! TWILIGHT FORCE!!! They're power metal, and Joakim the singer for Sabaton is in a few of their songs. Forest of Destiny is their best one IMO!
Yeah they're the best power metal band ever imho
@@barroomhero134 I've been posting for months for him to listen to Twilight Force, but nobody ever sees the comment lol. I really hope he gets around to it eventually.
Great choice. Saw them last year for the first time as a supporter at a Dragonforce concert. Love em since then.

Epica - consign to oblivion live at the zenith
4:35 I remember this day so clearly. I wasn't doign anything special, jsut sitting at home in Sweden and hearing this faint "Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!"
One of my personal favorite Joakim moment: He was asked in an interview if it was true that Sabaton has two war tanks. And he deadass said “No. We have two.”
Did you mean to say the reporter asked if they had *a* tank?
SABATON- Inmate 4859
Dude I've been suggesting Sabaton for almost a year now lol. It's about time brah
Absolutely a must, that man is a damn mad man and an unsung hero.

Do Winged Hussars!! It’s so badass!
A cry for help in time of need, await relief from holy league
And then the Winged Hussars arrived
Coming down the mountainside
Coming down they turned the tide
its a rehash of art of war
Dude. Sabaton - 40:1 @Woodstock
Also, if you want something "different" from them, try The Final Solution. It's a song about the holocaust.
You will thank me later :)
Don't you mean, "tank me later"?
Congrats on the proposal, Alex!
I've been enjoying your channel, having fun watching somebody enjoy this music that has meant so much to me for a few decades now. Sabaton is one of my son's favorite bands, so I was able to react hearing for the first time along with you! I've been watching their tour schedule so I can take my son next time they are in town. Definitely looking forward to it now! From this video it's obvious these guys have a stage presence that is off the charts!
Man if you can see them live do it. I have seen them 3 times and they never get old. The energy is amazing.

If this makes you excited, I hesitate to let you listen to the Carolus Rex album. You would feel baptized.
They made a record about swedish war history. Every song had an english and swedish version on it.
You should totally go for the swedish "carolus rex" :)
Yeah! Polish 'Woodstock' (now Pol'and'Rock Festival)
A couple of years ago, Nightwish did a US tour, with opening bands Delain and Sabaton.
I was there just for Nightwish - you've seen how great they can be - Delain was a nice bonus, but I'd never heard of Sabaton going into that show.
Sabaton stole whole damn show. Their energy and crowd interaction are fucking unreal, and they're now one of my favorite bands. They're SO GOOD
I have been to many Sabaton concerts and they are the BEST!!! So much energy and power! Going to a new concert in February, can't wait :D

I hope you´ll give Ne Obliviscaris another chance, maybe with Forget not or Intra Venus!
Congrats on the proposal! :)
Sabaton is an awesome band. I saw them live at Wacken back in 2013. and there was a guy in the audience that had the same armor jacket as the singer that he made himself, and the singer asked him if he'd trade :)
Also, in the meet and greet they were scheduled to give out autographs for an hour, but there were so many people waiting they stayed on for almost 3 hours until they signed everyone's stuff :)
SABATON - The Lost Battalion! Also MEGA congratz on the proposal! Wish you guys the best!
React to Epica - consign to oblivion live zenith
