Very good video! The half long serves are very effective. However, they are often neglected. We will add the serves more often to our training. Thank you for your valuable tips! Keep it up!
Looks like Portuguese guys are very nice. At least that's the impression I got after meeting Tiago Apolonia at LA Open in 2018. As always, thanks for the great video, coach. Love those extra tips 😍
Really good video. I especially like that you always take the time to give tips that cannot be found otherwise invideos from other people. Really usefull.
How about the height of the ball in relation to the table when you strike it? Also the height of the ball as it passes over the net. Easy to do a short serve that bounces too high and is a sitting duck for a flick. Thanks for the tutorials. Always a gem in there.
If you focus on keeping your bat just above table height while staying low and trying to swing forward, you don't have to be scared of breaking your bat. This can only happen when the plane of your swing goes upwards into the table so, by keeping your bat above the table, you won't hit the table.
@@ebatt8803 if it's a mid long underspin serve, pushing it back is probably not the best idea, as we'll be falling for the set up. Lifting it or flicking is better for this scenario? Am I right coach?
This is great. 10x for the video. I don't have a trainer around so theese videos are very helpful. 10x again.

Nice. thx ! Keep on the good job coach !
I struggle against half long backspin balls which just comes off the table. I just couldn't return it because I was afraid of breaking my bat.

Just flick the half long serves imo
@@maksf3102 That's also a viable option. I like to loop because my loop is stronger, but I can see players flicking if their flick is strong.
Thank you’ best as always🤗
Nice shot sir 😁😁
Good one ❤thank You
Pleasure 🥰🏓

I hit my hand twice lifting these serves, but can't you flick it with backhand?

I hope you didn't break your finger...
@@TIEWCINDY first time, it was a dent on the thumb nail and second was a bruise on my arm xD
@@murtuzaarbaz2321 ouch
4:53 I will do Backhand instead
What is your theory on first bounce location for a short serve?
@@ebatt8803 thanks
4:04 how did the box of balls fall?
Don't panic, it was just a ghost
4:05 oops!
IDEA FROM WHITE GUY - now u can hand it to a chino for the execution part
I just push them back 😆
Yeah most people push these back. It only works against the "attack everything" players.
Nice idea
