My BH serves do cause trouble to players but I never understood what spins I made....cos they are often randomly done. After watching this, I finally got it. thx !
thank you for the great tips. I've always wanted to have good BH serves, they are so underrated. Look at how Ovtcharov is successful with his BH serves. People eventually get used to them after a while but his BH serves still create a lot of problems for his opponents. Thanks and looking forward to your next video.
I think it's important to note to get some backspin, the paddle has to be coming forward toward the opponent. If you were to hit the pure bottom of the ball but swing sideways, that ball will be corkscrew with a lot of jump off the bounces but it will not be backspin. For backspin, you have to hit the bottom and to some degree be coming forward.
This video is very helpful and informative. You have a very good backhand serve technique and you taught us how to do it in a simple and easy way. Your backhand serve is powerful and deceptive and I want to try it out myself. Thank you for making this video and inspiring us. handsinair
Very useful, thanks. There are several Asian websites that explain things, but the language barrier sometimes interferes even though they are using English.
Great video! As I right now recover after a torn ligament I am looking for a way to improve my play without moving my feet too much, before I get back to normal training and league games... I will try it out next week! I thought about training my BH serves before I watched your video and I guess I will use some wooden toy blocks to aim at with the different types of spin.
great video! thanks so much. i really needed these tips for my backhand serve. also...need to get more spin on my pendulum...i keep trying...but doing something wrong. i guess that's another video :)
Glad you enjoyed it Yea it’s another video I have a few which may help you with adding spin on your pendulum search on my channel I’m sure you’ll find them
Good video, thanks! I have one query/doubt - why top players dont do many fast long serves? I always see them doing short pendulum/back spin serves. What's the reason? Thanks...
Love back hand serve I try to copy Dimitri hiding my bat under the table so it very late in my opponent seeing my bat angle with two variations of top and side or backspin. But not easy as ur so low and close to the table if opponent reads the serve.
Leo Taxil not necessarily, I don’t practice my backhand serve. It’s a serve I used to use as a player but now that’s many moons ago. My point is if you are developing a higher level of serve (disguise) it will be harder and more susceptible to more mistakes. But that’s ultimately down to the player who practices or not. With prat is the unforced errors will be dramatically reduced
@@ebatt8803 I do NOT speak about you. I appreciate your videos, I do not have any doubt about your tennis skills and your are a very good "explainer". My point was, that it would take as much time to learn to disguise as it takes to learn a serve as such. At least at my experience. When I see that my serve is good and I start to disguise it, I discover that I can not do any more my serve. Table tennis needs quite a lot particular qualities (more than in tennis) and not everybody have them. I have not.
Please for the love of god teach me how to put a new rubber on, including the cut. I’ve watched several videos and struggle bus hard. I even bought an exact o knife. How much glue is ideal, what pattern is best to wipe the glue, is it ok if certain spots are thicker then others? Why is it so hard to cut sponge n rubber!? HELP COACH
Nice tips, thanks coach. I know a 1600 player with a long bh serve that is bullet fast and tough to read. He must be applying the high elbow disguise you mentioned, on top of everything else.😣

The explanation is perfect as in the book👍

Very excellent explanation and subtle movement to different spins.

That was a really good explanation of a serve that I should implement into my (division 3) games for more variation. Thanks

Hi. Thanx for the video. Keep up the good work!

Awsome video, the punch analogy is helpful putting it into perspective. The same goes for the last minute squeeze.

Sorry for late reply but Thank you so much for asking him
Ones I did a great backhand serve.. It was really fast I had an ace 😍 but I don't know how I did it.. Can you help me please
great,great,great thank you
I use Short pip for my BH; Can I serve backhand with short pip?
Yes but you won’t generate as much spin, as you would with a normal rubber
Good sir,tq.
Thank you 🙏🏓
The problem, as you see it youself, when you start to disguise, your increase your mistakes considerably.

You are honest
Except all the serves ended up in the same spot. They didn’t vary

The contact point explanation doesn´t make sense. The contact point itself does not determine the amount of sidespin or underspin in a serve.
It determines where the ball turns. Contact point is key, great video. Well explained.
great video, please english subs
Ok
Copying my serve Eli? lol.
