Suzuki makes the best small cars bar none, and is one of the most profitable car companies, that rotten VW group came off second-best when they tried to screw old man Suzuki.
@@mhm3437 Will be announced publicly to Aus in Early December, First Jimny shipment is due to arrive mid-late Jan, You can head to your local dealership now yp put down a deposit for a preorder, I preordered mine in early July.
Its all the millenials fault, they dont buy suzukis cause theres no tech blah3x. I love suzukis, theyre built like tanks. We have a samurai and a jimny on our farmland and still rocks with little to no maintenance
What's the use of all this testing if the A Pillar of the new Swift bends on a 64kmph impact !? They know what's good quality, they're not going to provide it, this is just testing for planned obsolescence.
I love the look of the new Jimny, and if they price it aggressively in the UK, I’ll be at the dealer’s door when they eventually release it here. However, I would have been a lot happier with this video if they had shown the Jimny doing the sudden turns, skid pan, and crash test instead of substituting another vehicle from the range. To me, this suggests that the Jimny didn’t do so well in these tests.
Update: had a chance to test drive one this week, higher spec. SZ5 version. To be fair, I should point out that I had just stepped out of a 2.0L Mazda MX5, and our other car is the wife’s Merc GLC with a 2.0L diesel so it probably coloured the comparison. Loved: the high driving position, excellent all round visibility. Big mirrors. Body panels and doors felt really solid. Appearance never fails to put a smile on my face. Light, well harmonised* controls (*aviation testing term - means that the force needed to move pedals and stick/wheel feels evenly matched and weighted!). I actually quite liked the interior, like the vehicle, it it what it is -utilitarian. Hmm: Engine - 1.5L petrol reawakened memories of learning to drive in my youth, I mean, I’d nearly forgotten that you sometimes actually have to change down for hills?...O M actual G! Still, it sounded pleasant enough. The slab sided design and light weight meant that cross winds were..noticeable. Seats were a bit like sitting on a large marshmallow, no side support to speak of, but no doubt my considerable weight would shape them over time. Errrr: - steering. Lets face it, going around corners was never going to be a strong point, and doing it at speed would probably need your passenger to have a trapeeze arrangement like they have on racing yachts. However, I didn’t find it vague as some reviewers have said, but that said, I have driven landrovers where you could turn the wheel 15 degrees either side of centre without having any measurable effect on direction of travel*, so maybe I have a higher tolerance level. *Doing this in the Jimny set up a side to side wobble akin to the movement of one of those dashboard hula dancers on a spring, which was comical...for a while. Grrr. - the top spec SZ5 variant in the UK is around £18500 - aggressive pricing, but not in the way I’d hoped! So, the net result? Loved it. It is FUN and charisma on four wheels. My deposit is paid, and I hope to take possession in about six weeks time! Classic heart over head decision.
As the owner of 7 Swift's and 3 samurais, no wonder they don't break down. I mean the plastic bits have come off here and there over the 30 years of wear and tear but mechanical and structural they are holding out fine with no signs of doom yet.
I had a Jimny with sporty trims on. The car was from 2001. They are awful when it comes to bodywork (rust and cheap quality plastics). Apart from that, the car was quite decent. I actually miss it a bit...
simple . easy to fix on the middle of nowhere and platform suitable for modification . practical for intensive daily uses and moderate adventures off roading maybe more with a Japanese quality of building and used materials and with very rich heritage for the car even if it it's very compact but purely devoted for off roading . down side underpowered . and little bit overpriced for it category ( size ) , safety test stars , payload .. Waiting for the fully cabriolet , targa , four doors .
The test at 4:25 is not actually that good because all the components are clean and are not subjected to any dirt or water. If suspension components and bushes are kept spotless they will last far longer.
Dulu papi gue pernah punya Suzuki Jimny jangkrik, sampai super sampai sekarang masih suka Suzuki Jimny banget, Suzuki Jimny baru bergaya retro, dalamnya cukup mewah. Enak untuk off road, masih kuat kaya Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 milik gue
This car could be my next car. However, there are 3 things I don’t like. 1. Euro NCAP - crash test got only 3 stars. It means dangerous to use it in crowded tollways. 2. I don’t care how good it could be in cold climates. I am very doubtful if it could last in 40 degree Celsius++ because the weather here has only one season - summer. 3. Fuel consumption is not very good. It seems like I am going to buy a 2004 technology while I am living in 2018. Overall, I think Suzuki can do better than this.
Rawinpong Chaisatien Buddy.. I think you're being abit harsh here.. I've driven Jimny's through the Australian outback, Where the temperature doesn't drop below 40, Even during some nights.. Never had an issue and the new Jim looks even tougher.. The NCAP Rating.. Honestly the Jimny did great IMO, Look at where it lost points and you'll see why the score doesn't reflect Suzuki's safety reputation, It lost points on tech safety and pedestrian safety.. Second.. The Jimny is a kei car, Without the flares and 1.5L Engine atleast, So we're talking about a micro car here, You really gotta consider the size of this car and even then it still comes out on top over other larger 4x4s. The fuel.. I mean again, I think the fuel efficiency is great especially for the car you're getting..You need to remember this is a proper 4x4.. Not a city car, Even though it is capable of that and just as good as other small city cars, Compare the fuel efficiency to land cruisers, defenders, jeeps and other 4x4s and you'll realise the potential Suzuki have put into the new Jimny for fuel economy. I don't mean to be rude but the only logical dispute you've suggested is the NCAP Rating, I can tell you I'll be driving this car through the outback here in Aus and I'm confident putting my life in Suzuki's safety tech, Here in Australia between cities it's not uncommon to strike a kangaroo at 100+kmph, A kangaroo would more than likely destroy any vehichle without a bull bar or front protection at that speed but the car isn't the issue, Safety is and I'm confident in the Jimny's safety tech. Again, don't want to be rude or anything but if these are your biggest concerns then perhaps a 4x4 isn't best suited for you, A light SUV Might be more suited for you, Something small that is designed for city use, The Jimny is designed for off-road use as a first priority and on road use as a second, Capable at both but it excels off-road where other 4x4s are left behind.
Ah!ah! What a laugh! They don't need a testing ground! They already proved themselves!!!Oh! and by the way bring back the real stuff; the FJ-40 Land Cruiser!!! a tank!!!!
Thank you Suzuki for your little miracle, the jimny! There is no other car in the world (in this size) that can beat the jimny in the mountains! 💪💪💪
Suzuki makes the best small cars bar none, and is one of the most profitable car companies, that rotten VW group came off second-best when they tried to screw old man Suzuki.
Ladder-frame chassis and solid axle front and back. What an awesome car.
Can't wait for the new Jim to arrive here in Aus - Alot of Suzuki and 4x4 enthusiasts are super keen to finally see the new generation of Jimny.
JesseK99 When are they going to release it there?

@@jessek9985 Did you mean Australia? Less than one month for the release date? That's really a great news. I want it to be my first car.
Ordered mine for the next shipment.. its going to be a bit of a wait!
Bring Suzuki back to US.😩
no soup for you! out!
I meant... next!

Also malaysia 😭
I'm disappointed that there not going to sell them in the US
people know they are gonna do more then just hit a "flooded street" when we americans get our hands on it...
Awesome 😀 😀 2019 Suzuki Jimmy review .
Can you imagine working there? Play time, every day. :-)
it's like a lil mini G-wagon 😍 Lovit.
I could actually see this in the US n make this into a rock crawler "No Joke "..
Randy Gallagher screwing 35” inches tyres into this 😂
love the new jimny!
I like the jimny above all offroaders. Please increase the bhp and torque of the engine 1.5 ltr is sufficient
Endurance testing looks very simular to the old "mercedes G gewerbe movies" testing endurance G!!
1:20 driver on "esp off" didnt even try to turn in right direction
good work Suzuki - this is real GREAT car
mikkei true

The Jimmy looks so different on wet surface!
Fantastic company, but please focus on safety and body strengths.
Why they trynna make this looks like a hollywood production, its only a car test 😂
SUZUKIさん、五人乗りのシエラで5ドアを絶対に出してください!

Toyota is expensive while suzuki is cheaper
Jimny love 😍
Americans would totally buy the crap out of this car trust me

who else knows is as Jimmy and not Jimny?
Mandela effect yo :)
I always remember it as Jimmy, a little Jim, and not Jimny, as a Jimny cricket.
Belgian brick roads, they need bomb craters to simulate UK roads
Looks like you haven't seen Russian's roads )) Impossible to simulate at all.

Suzuki finally makes a successor to the samurai that’s would sell like hot cakes. Leaves market. Makes sense.
I love girls and suzuki jeeps
I hope they can develop and improve swift for more sporty driving!
(cries in American)
if jimny came with a 5 door I'd certainly buy it. But I'll settle with a Swift anytime over any other brand. I love my small cars.
What about hill hold control in respect of new Jimny automatic version. Can seniorcitizen drive smoothly in traffic jam?
The machine is weak 1500cc fk
It is better 2700cc 🤤👌🏼
i love jimny best 4x4 offroad jeep❤❤🇵🇰
А почему ТРАУРКУ тестируют ?
Good design, shitty colors and poor interior.
I got the 'testing' bit but which part showed any development?
Inovasi tiada henti
alvin effendy betul
Why is there a two year waiting list to get a Jimmy
Amazing
1:22 (lower half) Jeremy Clarkson could have held that slide

made it five door Jimny as much better three door.........

Esp siempre siempre
Jimny estetic suck
It's a shame they couldn't test the 6th gear......
3 цилиндра???
Fascinating stuff
What a bad thing.. has been repeating the meaningless picture..
jimnny is the best choice to me. I am eagerly waiting for its launch In India.
I wonder if there is a reason why they didn't show the crash test of the Jimny ;)
Jimny VR5 meets required standards in every country it's sold in. Unlike many US designs.
@Matthew Lund
That would be awesome, but no - just a mashup of the cars I have :)
Should have crash tested it before selling
