100kph is the perfect speed in most cars for noise and economy. Every car I have driven is good at that speed as it keeps the engine below 3k RPM which appears to be the optimum level in any car, no matter how small the engine.

my friend bought Suzuki Jimny, we tested GPS speed and speedometer. we found out the speedometer reads incorrectly after 120km/h, when it reached 166 km/h the actual GPS gave us the speed of 138 km/h, not a very comfortable ride but hella fun to drive also very reliable edit: i wanted to buy one but the dealer told me the waitlist is 18months, outside they are selling it 6000 dollars above dealer so changed my mind about buying one
It's good to see a non commercial video, how the jimny really behaves in the real world, aside the highly paid manifacturer videos. ☝🏼👍🏻👍🏻 And i agree with the most comments, that the Jimny isn't necessarily build for high speey driving on highways...it is capable of doing it (in his humble possibilities 😅) ....but not its main terrain. 👍🏻 I think going on the highway with a Jimny (and not only a Jimny...think also a lot of similar cars aswell), you automatically adapt your speed and behaviour to the height, steering and chassis of the vehicle, weather conditions aswell, which is absolutely normal and should be done by anyone, who positions him-/herself behind a steering wheel of any car. So you set the highway speed to 100-120 kph at maximum, the car doesn't try to rip your ears off with the engine noise....you don't annoy the lorry drivers too much....and you just cruise along and still arrive save at your destination point. 🙏🏼 And when you leave the highway again, and there's no solid road ahead and everybody is scratching their heads, how to continue....you immediately know....why you decided to buy a jimny again....just put it into 4H....and make your own path. 👍🏻😁
How’s the ride quality at that speed? Is it like scary/bouncy? Will it possibly tip over if you suddenly turn the steering wheel to avoid something on the road such as deep pot hole or animals? Thx
Is it weird that I want this more than I want a Subaru Crosstrek (XV) or a Subaru Forester? There is something about this Jimny that makes me want one. They just arrived here in Mexico 🇲🇽 but I haven’t had a chance to test drive one because you can’t find them at the dealerships.

The 1.5l K15B Petrol Engine in this offroader sounds like an Indian Maruti Suzuki Ciaz's petrol engine, but the differential sound doesn't match with the engine's class of being comfy and smooth, not so performance oriented, but at German Autobahn, everything is acceptable.
They finally understood that the 1.5 had to be turbocharged for 2023... It's crazy how long they took to understand that they wouldn't sell any in Europe without this engine modification.

I have a Jimny and what's remarkable about it is how stable it is on the highway despite the short weelbase. It's almost like it has progressive steering. That said, I would terrified to drive it over 130. But I'm an old fart and a scardy cat.
Top speed around 160 km/h (on dashboard...) and around 9.8 litters/100km (if I can read the screen right) and 6000RPM (🤪🙄). Far better speed than the previous model... which shaked its load around 120/130km/h. Anyway, not meant for highways, better drive it on winding mountain roads and tracks. But it makes it when you need it.
When I hear everybody raving about how unfit this car is for the motorway, I feel that they've been proven wrong by your video! It seems that 110-120 km/hr is still very comfortable. Thank you for this test drive !!! I will have my Jimny this week or the next. Can't wait!!
If i remember, i cruise jimny around 100 kmh thats was comfortable enought, at video was on german autobahn and it has so smooth road surface, some countries has rough highway and it would be dangerous for high speed with jimny. I bet u come from netherland? Because of your Account Name?

With belgium highway 100-120 would be ok with jimny :), but with standard jimny tire, if you equipped real offroad tyre it would be bit unsafer at highspeed

They come standard with Bridgestone Dueler H/T. So basically a set of highway tires. Jimnys will spend most of its time on smooth pavement anyway.

Fuel used? 95 or 100 octane? With the 100 octane you get the whole speedometer.(you get what you paid for.)
