- Doing some work on your BMW F15 X5?
If you're installing a new speaker, threading cables or doing other work that requires accessing the door mechanism, you'll need to remove the interior door trim piece from the front driver or passenger door.
Removing the panel is simple. Just grab a T-20 screwdriver and a set of plastic trim tools.
In this video, Chaz shows you how to remove a front door interior trim panel from a BMW F15 X5.

Very very well made video. Thanks guys. The procedure is easy to follow and understand because you show helpful details along the way.
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!
This video does not cover the passenger side door panel. In order to remove the passenger side door panel, eveything will be the same except you'll need a pry tool to take off the hand rest, there will be 2 20 Torx screws revealed, once you remove those, then you can remove the door panel in full.
Thank you, very clear instructions.👍
The best way to explain that. Helped a lot. Tnx
Glad to hear it!
Awesome video, it was very helpful in helping me to complete the job. Keep up the good work!
Glad it helped!
Thanks 😊
Welcome 😊
Already removed all screws but can’t remove the door panel as shown in 1:54. I’ve tried so much already in different ways and with different tools but the door still feels very, very, very fixed in place. Any suggestions?
Good day
I'm wanting to wrap all the wooden trims on my X5 doors due to scratches. Do I have to remove the whole door.panel to get the wooden trims off? Or can I remove the wooden trims with the plastic prying tool while the door panel is still on the door?
It’s best to remove the whole door panel to avoid any potential damage to the mounting clips and the trim itself.
Any videos on getting her back on?
sadly not, but it's not that hard :P
What happens if the door lock stick falls off?
Do you mean like in 2:13? That is normal or the stick completely fell, if that is the case you should be able to put it back without any issues.
