I love my Hyundai Kona. I will not get any other car. I like the way it drives. I liked the way it handles. I like the all-wheel drive. And when you're living in an area that has black ice. Sometimes, you need the winter mode or AWD. It may not have a ton of room, but if I'm taken my great nieces and nephews. Or you know, just anybody for a ride, the backseat has enough room for them. It's beneficial for a subcompact car like this to have all the featuresthat you need. Especially in winter conditions. I give it a 4 and a 1/2 star rating at a 5.
I just saw this in the parking lot this afternoon and absolutely fell in love with the looks. It's the most beautiful small package SUV on the market now. I like small SUVs. The 2018 Honda HRV design, shape and size was so proportionately gorgeous. If I do not need to carry equipment frequently, I would have bought it right away. But I need extra space. But now this Kono looked just right.
I bought this car (in white) June this year. I've been driving Hyundai Elantra's for many years. SUVs are new to me. So far, I'm having fun with it, especially all the safety beeps and rumbles it has to keep me alert ha!
My wife bought one in October. We have converted all of the lights to (Lasfit brand) LED bulbs minus brake lights. The other thing is the AWD requires four same size tires to prevent damage. The spare is 2.5 inches undersize so I replaced the tire with a larger one to match 145/90/16 in case we get a flat. Still fits in the spare tire area so I wonder why they don’t come with the right size. We love the car. It does great on the slick roads where we live.
Because the small spare is only intended to get you out of a stranded situation. Nothing more. On these AWD vehicles you are correct….you need to change them all when one goes out. Buying a spare of the same make, size etc is not a good idea. It will still be a new tire among three road worn tires and you’ll have to buy a new set anyway. Keep the donut as a rescue and save your money on a full size spare.
@@tdz69 the spare is not the same make or size. It is still a donut tire very close to the right size. My question was why put a spare on 2.5” smaller when you can be nearly perfect and still fit in the designated spare tire location.
I was originally going to get the Kona, but they were out of stock for that vehicle, so I decided to get the Venue, which is still good with its 1.6L 4 cylinder engine, but I do wish I had the Kona for its 2.0L 4 cylinder since it does have a bit more power. And Hyundai's IVT transmission is actually really good. Nice and responsive, but I drive in the eco mode all the time, so the revs aren't going to be over 2000 rpm for me, but it does respond very well.
You also did a Video on the 2023 Mazda CX30 Premium Package. Which i just left a comment on. But My Girlfriend test drove both of these Vehicle's. She ended up Buying the CX30. Zoom Zoom 😎
looks like a smooth ride ;) small compact suv that i can drive & park easily just about anywhere. Lol.. & as far as leg room in the back, it doesnt evn matter as i dont carry much passengers anyway, but maybe evry now n then.. but for a Single person like myself this suv would be perfect for me ;) i saw a '24 Kona but the exterior is ehhhhhh not for my liking. Lol.. im hoping i can get a deal / MSRP on a '23 Kona ;) Thx for your review Ben!!

I purchased new in December 2022. Blue in color.
I never owned a Hyundai before. I drove Volkswagen Atlas. I truly appreciate this car / SUV.

For a commuter car for a single person it looks great. If I wanted performance and speed I'd be looking at something else.
..same here perfect for a single person;)
Great review, but was hoping for more on the AWD feature.
Literally bought the same car today. Same color and everything.
How do you like it?
@Ethereal Mami it's great. I wish I would have got the turbo option but no regrets other than that
Same haha! Love it
how is mpg? & what Trim did u get? u paid MSRP?

My dream Korean SUV!! Great review Ben.
This is a korean suv? 👀
@@EtherealMami Yep Hyundai is a Korean car company, same with Kia :D
My knees hurt from looking at that cramped backseat 😂
😂😮😂
good and quick. i like your style.
How do people get this car in the cyber gray color? It's not listed on the website.
For an inexpensive car, this is worth a look for a commuter car.
Do the A-Pilars get in the way of turning visibility or no?

@@secondace thnk u!! ;) yes subcompact car is ideal, no more Sedan Lol...
Could this guy talk a bit faster so we understand nothing.
You certainly speak fast 🤣🤣🤣
Seems like the back leg room is dismal
If you could find one could you possibly do a review on a TRX with the Hennessy tune I guess is what you would call it
I got the 2020 1.6 and this review makes me not want to get a 2023
Why not 😮🤔😮
More leg room on a spirit flight
He talks so fast that I can hardly understand what he’s saying…what’s the hurry? Literally speaking so fast he’s out of breath
Yeah he talks fast who cares he's pretty good at what he does
I'm going to watch someone else's video....someone that doesn't talk like they're zoraxed on nitrous oxide. Jeez.....
