Just bought this model one week ago today and so far i really like it. Turned the lane assist off though. Its not bad for around town but i hate it on the expressway.
I think its the best on the highway as it always sees the lanes and with HDA it fully drives the car and I can just chill. Around the city the lane keep assist is useful but its not always active
This beauty is the best bang for your buck. So loaded that for the first 3 weeks, I kept discovering all kinds of Active Safety & convenience features on it that I wasn't even aware of. One thing I do notice however is that the headrests on the front two seats are titled way inside which makes it uncomfortable to rest your head. I've checked but didn't find any adjustments.
i have the 2024 kona sel and couldnt agree with you more, the headrests arent very comfy. I also hate the all plastic armrests on the doors. Didnt even realize this stuff during the test drive. Its an alright car and has great technology but its the most uncomfortable car ive owned for longer drives
I personally do not care for adaptive cruise control. When a vehicle moves into an adjacent lane and the sensor still picks the vehicle up, your vehicle will brake extremely hard (happen to me often in a previously owned car) and if the driver behind you isn’t paying attention and his vehicle doesn’t have the proper safety features, BAM! And there you are. Just drive attentively! Simple.
The 2024 kona is an IIHS “TOP SAFETY PICK +”. I watched the crash test videos and I tell you what, say what you want about the looks, it’s one of the safest vehicles for 2024. The Buick Envista on the other hand hasn’t even been tested.
If you're referring to having the vehicle back itself out of a tight parking situation....I believe you have to be holding a button down on your fob while watching it back up, just lift your finger off that button and it stops .. or if the backup sensors know it'll hit something or somebody, it'll stop then too.
I bought this car about a week ago, I notice the audio/tones are not up to par with a what a 2024 vehicle would produce as I hear a lot of crackling and speakers seem cheap. Also, how can I change the cluster color/styles? Thank you!
The SE and SEL do not have adjustable cluster theme's like the fully digital version in the SEL Convenience and higher. You can change the color via the drive modes.
I hated the 2023 Kona but I am now driving the 2024 and I like it the only thing it is missing is usb charge ports or wireless chargers. So in order to charge my phone I have to purchase a new charger just for this car.
I have the SEL 2024 and it does not have wireless charging. Unless I'm just not using it correctly. The guy at the dealership even said it doesn't come with it. Kinda bummed about that.
@smoky3800-be2km no, but the poster above said "even on base model". My 22 Kona had the convenience package with the wireless charging. The main things I miss in my 24 that I had in the 22 are the sunroof, wireless charging, and heated seats. Not a deal breaker but they were nice features to have.
There are adapter chords that have USB C to USB ports. I have one for my MacBook pro so that I can charge and download updates for my Garmin watch. The watch chord has a USB connector. Walmart.
Definitely the best car I've ever owned. Just wish my wife would let me drive it more often 😂
Great to hear!
Saving up to get one in a few months. Can’t wait!
My 2024 SEL is the best 👌 👍
😎
Kona seems to be more popular in the US than in Korea, its home era!

Does the car have lane "centering" where the camera sees the lanes and just keeps the vehicle in the center?

My wife’s 2020 Sante Fe has the exact same hood hold open actuators.
Bumping that TI 🤣 cant wait to drive mine.

My 22 Rogue has done that a couple of times in 2.5 years. Good to hear (sorta) that it's not just a Nissan ACC glitch.
Whats snow mode?
4x4
It locks the differential so all the wheels turn together. Only on
AWD(All wheel drive)models.

Hi, do you know how to cancel a reverse vehicle shut down?

@@crzydimplesdid u buy the convenience package included? wireless charging pads come in the convenience package with the car

Does this have adaptive cruise control?
The SEL does not but the SEL Convenience will have Smart Cruise with Highway Drive Assist.
I recently purchased a SEL w/ convenience package, this feature is very nice. Highly recommend it.
@@CarsMadeSimple What is HDA? Is that "lane centering" ?
