I accidently came across the venue while looking at several other vehicles and fell in love with it. All I wanted was a car that I could easily get in and out of and a sunroof. I bought a 2022 venue without even a test drive. I bought the trend level equivalent to the sel and I absolutely made the right decision. Here in Canada our warranty includes 3 year maintenance package.
That is awesome! I find it very funny that I mentioned in my review that it was very easy to get in and out of. Thank you for confirming that being a real life owner of one! Hahah good for you being so confident and happy with your decision. I hope you love it for many years! I’m not sure how long my friend has a maintenance package on his Venue, or if he has one at all. However, that’s good to know that in Canada you get 3 years of maintenance included.

I LOVE my 2022 Venue! I drove it from Upstate New York to Florida and back. I am so happy I went with the SEL trim. Phenomenal, efficient vehicle.

We just bought the same car, same, color and all. We absolutely love it! People comment on it a lot some good some not but it perfect for us. Now if we still had kids at home it be a little small but for two empty nesters traveling around its perfect!

Excellent review, congrats! I'm about 98% convinced this will be my next new car. I still have some issues with the exterior design but it's growing on me. Price - value is certainly a key factor.

I am going to be honest with you though… I did not feel that the Mitsubishi was nearly as good of a car as this Venue was, especially considering the prices of both. The Mitsubishi felt much cheaper inside and out, was not as comfortable to drive, and it was more expensive at the base model price. The only thing I will say that was a plus about the Mitsubishi was the styling. It wasn’t a bad looking subcompact SUV for what it was. Other than that though, I wasn’t that impressed. I hope that’s not too disappointing you, but I would rather be as honest and accurate as I can!
I just bought the SEL in Shimmering Silver that's due for delivery in about 3 wks, and after watching this video I'm even more glad that I did! My previous two vehicles were both Hyundai Elantras, can't beat their warranty, and never had an issue with either to ever even use it. Hyundai is proof that all other vehicles in their class are just, well, over-priced! 🤑

Just bought venue limited, i really like it. Gas mileage is great. Thanks for the tip on the rear storage adjustable floor, i lowered it to maximize space.

Excellent review, almost the best I’ve seen. Amazing car! You are right SEL best level. It has auto AC , which is a must in so cal. Otherwise I would go for the SE. I subscribed I was so impressed by the review. 😊

It has everything you would really want out of that type of a car, and it's also a few thousand dollars cheaper than the Limited. Havent really seen a bad review looked at alot of other vehicles .cant touch the warranty that Hyundai and kia offer picking up my shimmering silver sel tommorow this was the the most informative and best video of all the ones i watched!

Excellent review. I bought the sel about a week ago. It's ecotronic grey. I added self adhesive silver door edge stripping on the doors and hatchback edges. Looks great. So far I like the car.

Honestly, I saw someone driving this car, and it looks so pretty in person I fell in love instantly. Considering this to be my first car. I just got my license a week ago lmao
Congrats on the license! Please drive carefully, especially while you're learning. 😁 It's also a great idea to keep practicing your skills, even though you already have your license. If you can, set up some cones in an empty parking lot and practice your parallel parking, 3-point turns, etc. Honing your skills, and keeping them sharp will make you an excellent driver. Have fun, and enjoy the ride. 😎 I'm sure you are super excited to experience that freedom!
I think this Venue would be a great first car! The only thing is, do you really want to buy brand new? I know the market is unlike anything we've ever seen before. Used cars aren't necessarily priced as great deals, and sometimes you are better off just going with brand new if you can afford it. The best part about getting brand new or knowing that nobody abused or neglected anything on the car before you, and you also have a warranty. Hyundai offers a fantastic 10-year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty as well.
The good part about going with used though is that you could potentially save a lot of money, and you're not going to be completely devastated when you get your first scratch on your car. Pros and cons though! Just make sure you do not over-buy, and make yourself car poor at such a young age. That's just my two cents anyway. Best of luck!

got a 22' SEL Venue and sheeesh do I love it. Initially, I was going in to pick up an Elantra, but they were out of stock and would be restocked until 4 months later. Meanwhile, they presented me with this Venue, and instantly got intrigued and took it! Haven't looked back since
@phailnation That's awesome to hear! I'm very happy that you love your Venue. It's a much better car than I expected it to be. But damn, 4 months? That's crazy. I bought this exact car in January of this year 2023. I wanted something with a good warranty, small, and comfortable enough to travel to see my kids. Im 60 and this is my daily driver. I love that it fits in parking spaces with ease. I love all the features about it. It does feel a little sluggish accelerating and going uphill. I worry this will wear the belt in time. I do not feel I made a bad choice, as this is my retirement car. I love the green color and have decked it out with Grogu. I even have a light saber on the rear wiper. I would send anything toward this car. It would make a great student car. I do not regret this purchase at all.

Yes, it certainly is slow, and probably even that much worse uphill. However, if you are not a speed demon like me, which I am going to guess you are not, I bet it is perfectly fine in 95% of the scenarios you will be in. I bet it also looks very fitting decked out with baby Yoda! Hahah

I'm looking at one for my retirement car, too. I realized I have 6 years and that's time for a car to be bought and paid off. The green looks great on the website, I'm hoping it looks good when I get to actually see one. I'm a Green Arrow fan, so if I do go with green, I'm sure I'll be decking it out with some GA stuff. lol

That's a cool little car! I realllllyyyy like the interior, it is very good for the price point. The tablet style screen, I love the dials in the center, and maaaan the speedometer is super unique and cool. The sound system is nice too 🙃 that cup holder thing first the back is wild tho lmao but it's a pretty creative idea. The sunroof is also sweet. Definitely a sweet car that doesnt completely break the bank :) have a great weekend bro

@@AgeraXXX To be honest bud, I just wish I realized that this is an add-on, and it didn't come with the car automatically. As entertaining as it was to make fun of it in the video, I would have absolutely told Paul not to get that before buying the car... Jordan, my girlfriend, did some research on Hyundai's website after I already posted this video and she found out that thing is a $65 accessory! I mean, WHAT?!?!? You can literally go on Amazon and find a more durable one with more storage options for 20 bucks.
What's even more hilarious is the fact if you actually go on Hyundai's website under the Venue's accessories, you can see all of the additional accessories with thumbnail pictures and check boxes to click them or not. Hyundai literally didn't even put a picture of cupholder in it's own thumbnail!!! They just put a Hyundai logo there instead! Lmaoo I think they did that because they know because it looks so crappily made that no would buy it if they saw a picture of it and then knew how much it cost! Clearly, I think that thing is a rip off lol

The Soul is a fantastic competitor to the Venue. I would recommend checking out both the Venue, and the Soul (maybe even multiple trims of each) and see which one you like better! Great video! I've been driving my 2023 Venue SEL now for a month and love it. Haven't yet had the chance to see how the FWD does in snow. I'm use to AWD. I do wish there was a digital time display on the dashboard rather than having to look over at the screen for a somewhat small time stamp. Love the turning radius too!

That’s awesome though! I’m glad you love it. I sure it will perform relatively well in the snow. It has decently high ground clearance. The turning radius/ease of parking was one of the best attributes for this car in my opinion. As far as the clock goes, I understand that. It would’ve been very easy to put a clock right in the center of the gauge cluster. That’s not the biggest deal at all for me though. Other than that though, I’m very happy you are enjoying your Venue! Thanks again for checking on my video!

I instantly liked the Venue when I started seeing reviews. The sunroof of the SEL was an instant win over the features of the Limited. LED lights are nice, but man I love a sunroof!
Yes, the SEL is the best bang for your buck trim IMO. You can't forget about the wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto either! The LED lights really did make a huge difference at night, but I have no idea why Hyundai chose to not outfit the Limited with a sunroof and the wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. That decision made absolutely no sense to my friend Paul and I when we were looking at these. Therefore, SEL seems to be the way to go!

I bought the 2020 Venue in April of the same year. I hadn't owned a car in nearly 15 years as I had been living in NYC and then Chicago and had no need for one. When I finally broke down and bought this car brand new four years ago, it felt like I was driving a spaceship because it had so many features that I hadn't experienced since owning a car so many years ago. And now, four years later, I still LOVE my 2020 Venue. I have the six speed manual and it's very fun to drive. Of course living in the city, I just finally broke 14,000 miles on a four year old car. I don't drive much. But in a busy city with tight spaces, this car is amazing!
I’m so glad that you love your Venue! That’s very cool that you have a manual transmission version too. I find that concept SO funny that it felt like an absolute spaceship to you compared to economy cars of 15-20 years ago. I can totally imagine the shock of the fact that you don’t have a tape player in your car anymore hahahah. I picture a late 90’s Hyundai or Kia for instance, and I think WOW! No matter what your brand preference is, modern cars have certainly come a very, very long way.
And even though you don’t drive it that much, I’m sure it’s extremely easy to park in tight spaces living in the city. Honestly, I think it’s one of the best modern cars you can get for a big city dweller! Cheap, decent on gas, fun to drive with the manual, and easy to park!

I pondered getting this one - but did not even get to sitting in it. My brother took a look and instantly said .. no no the Elantra much more substantial for about the same price. He ended up driving a white one when our Dad's Optima went in for a new motor - so we had it for 4 weeks and it grows on people quickly. It does everything surprisingly well - cargo is quite usable, power is quite useable, the safety systems are quite useable, the look is really quite well done. The only downside was that he said he felt comfortable, but his legs looked like he needed the seat back further.
I had to rent a car twice in two weeks as my Civic AC got fixed. I got this car twice. Loved it. Decided it was time, the civic had 160k, I drive a lot! Always had standard transmission civics, 35 years. Time for a change and no regrets. Love this car. I get up to 33 mph in the city and up to 38 on the highway. Love that it looks like a toy car!! And it is zippy

My old 2012 Kia Sorento fell apart and I was near a Hyundai dealer when the englne light went on. They had very few new cars. One was a red 2023 Hyunda Venue SEL. I bought it right there. I love the car. I get mileage in the 40s on the hwy. I have a moon roof. It is comfortable to drive. The horn did fail and had to be replaced. Otherwise it has been 5 star.

Yes, this car is a direct competitor of the Kia Soul. Some people argue that the Kia is better, and I can see their points for sure. Just got back from a business trip to Toronto where I had rented a Venue for the week. A great car for what I needed and I would seriously consider it if I was looking for a small new car to use in and around the city. Not sure about using it for extended highway trips because of the increased noise levels over 100 km/hr
I’m glad you enjoyed the Venue! Yes, I completely agree that it is a great small and cheap car for daily use around town, especially in tighter streets and parking spaces. It wasn’t fantastic on the highway, but for what I was expecting, it really wasn’t that bad. At 100 km/h to 120 km/h, I didn’t feel like it was a significantly stressed or couldn’t handle the speed safely. However, any faster than that, and I feel like the prominent wind noise, combined with engine being pushed pretty much to it’s max, I don’t think it would be very comfortable to take on a very long trip if you plan on going 140 km/h or more for an extended period of time.

Hyundais answer to the Kia Soul. A quirky fun looking subcompact. Also love that the touchscreen isn't sticking all the way up off the top of the dash like most cars today. Sure it looks like it tacked on tablet but not as bad as most cars lately where its literally mounted on top
It sure is! Yes, I find the high mounted screen to be an interesting common complaint. I can’t say that it bothers me personally. However, I understand people’s thought process behind it. For you personally, is it just because it looks out of place? Essentially jutting out and looking very awkward? That would be the biggest thing for me.

I prefer no sunroof. No sunroof means more headroom and less summer heat. Wife has sunroof on her Kona and we opened it only to help vent out the hot air and closed it back up before getting on the road.

You can't go wrong with either one. If you need extra power and space, the Soul is the one to get. You can buy a kia Soul GT-Line with the same features as a Venue SEL/Limited.

I love my Kicks too! Had 2019 and now 2021. But then my son just put down a deposit on the Venue Preferred because, being almost 6 ft tall, he felt a little tight in the Kicks. Excellent video! Liked and subscribed!!

I just bought a 2024 Limited and I have too say I really love it. I'm 6.3 and have plenty of room. Very happy with it. Great review ,your spot on for sure. The limited has the LED lights and they are fantastic at night, I also like the fact that you get heated seats and navagation in the limited and it also comes with Blue Link Plus and that's for the life of the vehicle. Truly a great fun vehicle .
Right on man! So happy to hear that you love it. The LEDs certainly make a HUGE difference. Dare I say it's "night and day!" 😅😅😅 Seriously though, they are sooooo much better than the halogens. However, my buddy wanted to save as much money as he reasonably could, while also getting all of the features he wanted. He figured that he didn't need them, so he went with the SEL. We drove both trims at night as well, so we had a perfect first-hand experience of how well they work.
And you are totally right about the interior space. It looks like a small car, but has a deceptively large amount of room inside, especially headroom. Thanks for checking out my review! Crazy, huh?We were initially planning on buying a Kia soul, but between three dealerships they were unable to locate one. We live in NYS and the Hyundai dealership is Suresky's in Goshen, NY. The Venue was supposed to come in Saturday but I got a call this morning that it arrived today. I told the sales guy that we've been dealing with that we couldn't pick up the vehicle until Monday, but, their policy is that you pick up within 3 days of its arrival on the lot. I can't believe it, but they're actually going to pick us up and bring us to the dealership to get the car. That was a surprise.
Anyway, your video really did help a lot and I'm so glad I saw it before we pick up the vehicle.

But yes, that is crazy that they don’t have a SINGLE Venue available for you to even test drive, let alone not a SINGLE Soul to buy at 3 different dealers!!!. It’s not like they are rare and expensive cars, am I right? Lol. That is very nice that they are going to pick you up to get the car in time though. I know you are spending about $25,000 on a vehicle, but I feel like some dealerships would just say tough luck. That’s good customer service.
Is that area (Goshen) more on the rural side? I’ve never been there, but I believe it is. If it is rural, I’m assuming that’s the reason they don’t have a whole bunch of inventory moving in. I know the market is also still crazy right now with a lack of inventory and high prices… I was with my friend, Paul, when he bought this Venue, and I fully take credit for helping him negotiate and not pay anything over MSRP for it! 👍 They sure did try though! When the sales guy released it via the button we felt like...well, you can imagine. 😅 You were right about the height, it's perfect to get in and out of. We didn't get the cargo blocks or the squishy cup holder though. Not sure why. The blocks would have been nice, but I guess packages differ. My girlfriend and I stopped in Charlottesville, VA, Charleston, SC, and St. Augustine, FL along the way on our road trip down. It was a lot of fun! We also absolutely crushed it working our butts off moving in. All of the furniture was inside in less than 2 days, and every last thing was organized and put away in 4. We also love the apartment, the complex, and the area overall. I feel like one of my favorite parts of my first week living here are all of the foliage and wildlife that we see in our complex. That’s great! Good for you guys. It really does handle well for what you would expect, doesn’t it? Truly goes to show that smaller lightweight vehicles have an advantage over bigger vehicles purely due to physics when it comes to handling and driving feel.
Did you end up going with shimmering silver? Do you like the color? And that’s hilarious about the key hahah. In fairness though, many cars these days don’t have an actual key, just a fob. So, I can imagine you just looked at it and said, OK it’s push to start. But then, you get in the car and there is an ignition for the key, so that must’ve been a little confusing. I would say don’t feel too bad, happens to the best of us lol.
The seat height really is perfect to get in and out of. You kind of just glide in. You don’t have to haul yourself in or out even a little bit. I absolutely love the cargo blocks, but the $65 squish-in cup holder I feel like you could easily get by without. 😅 I would double check your window sticker to make sure that you were supposed to get them, but just didn’t. Yes, they are technically options that you have to pay for from the dealership. If you really want the cargo blocks, and they weren’t already supposed to be on your window sticker, I might just call the dealer and ask if you can either get them included in the purchase of the car, or just buy them separately if you really wanted them. The only thing is it appears that you can only buy them as part of a cargo package that’s $205. At that price, I would probably try to find and order some much cheaper aftermarket ones that probably work just as well.

Very helpful review. My wife currently owns a 10 year old Tucson, we've had it since new. Since they're getting bigger (model bloat) i believe the Venue might be a similar size to her old Tucson. Ive been considering this as a replacement in another couple years. Am grateful for the other Canadian commenter mentioning the 3 year service plan. It does appear that the mid line trim would be a better value, though id have to check out Canadian pricing. Greatly appreciate the video, thanks!

I thought this car was a very good value for the money, especially in the SEL trim. I don’t know if you are die-hard fans of Hyundai or not, but if you would like to look at at least 3 new cars to test drive, I would recommend test driving this, the Kia Soul, and the Kia Seltos. I feel like if you were to drive all of those and gauge, which one would be the best fit for you two, I feel like you would be very happy with at least one of those options! I wouldn't say we're "die hard" Hyundai people, but after going on 11 years of solid experience with her current Hyundai, they're definitely near the top of our list to consider as a replacement. Funny enough, both this and Kia's Seltos are a couple I have seriously considered. Though I like the previous generation of the Kia Soul, my wife will not consider one, as the looks are far too "quirky" for her tastes.

This looks like a good car for the money..I have a crosstrek..and all the cars you mention are in the same price range as the crosstrek..Living in the snow belt I would always choose the subaru..If not This car would be on my list
It sure seemed like it! I was a clearly a fan. The Crosstrek is a great car for New England though. I don’t blame you for going with it. Subarus are very popular in this area (I live in southern MA) and they are even more popular up north in New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. This Venue suits Paul very well though! He doesn’t really need the AWD, and it appears that it will perform well enough in the snow for what Paul needs.

I am on my second one! My 2022 SEL was T boned by a terrifying teenager and totalled. Nobody got hurt, but when the airbags deploy, the car is done. My new 2023 SEL is praetty much the same, and I'm very happy with it. First of all don't believe the EPA mileage. You'd have to be an idiot to get those figures, but idiots don't buy Venues. On any halfway normal trip I do 35-36; mostly highways closer to 40 or more. I live in a gas war zone, so my gas costs are 7-8 cents a mile. Cheaper than walking. Love the visibility. Sunroof doesn't really make a lot of sense; no good for highways, my dog is too short to stick his head out, but there it is.
Now if you want a fast car, this is not for you. You will beat or stay with any 20th century econobox from a standing start. With one passenger you can comfortably climb any interstate grade. A keg run up Pike's Peak with an O line pal as passenger? Lemme know how that works out.
Two average sized couples out for dinner, fine. For 90% of driving, definitely, and should be fun.
Enjoy exclusivity? There isn't anything like it out there. Maybe a Mini, but that's 15k more.

Thanks Mark for a good review on the Venue. Older guy that drove everything from 1970s muscle cars including a 70 GTO, 73 Challenger (it only had the 318-V8 though) to Miata, Integra, Jetta. Now at 60 looking to replace 2015 Camry LE with a lifted hatch/crossover like the Venue, Honda HRV, Nissan Kicks, Soul, Seltos, CorollaCross, and the like. Adding the Venue to my test drive list. If the ride isn't harsh, combined with warranty, I live in small western NY city. FWD is fine in snow with Blizzaks or similar snow tire. Afterall i grew up with RWD Dodge and Ford cars in 60s and 70s. Dad would throw extra weight in back of the station wagon or trunk for traction. No problems in snow. I'll check out Limited to see if Hyundai fixed the sunroof other features for 2024 or 2025 Venue. Thanks again. New subscriber.

But yes, I think the Venue would be alright in the winter with some proper snow tires. You also have experience driving in those conditions, so I think you would be fine anyway. However, my only concern being out in Western NY would be any huge hills you might have to conquer on your normal routes. The Venue is very light, and you can't add weight to the front to help with grip, unless you make someone lay across your hood 😅
Hyundai makes a nice car for less money. I bought my wife a 2015 Elantra Limited. It has been trouble free since new. Breaks, wiper blades, tires. Just regular maintenance. I sold high end luxury cars for 15 years, then in 2010 I moved to the Hyundai product. The dealer I worked for treated the customers like valued patrons. Pugi Hyundai in Downers Grove, illinois. We had a 2020 Venue much like the 2022 you reviewed and loved it. In Canada the model was called a Trend. Unfortunately it was written off not long after we bought it because of what I thought was a fender bender collision (my fault) that resulted in all the air bags deploying, plus front end damage. I can attest to the safety of the Venue after that experience. We would have bought another, but supply chain issues arose because of COVID and we needed a vehicle. We eventually settled on a base model 2019 VW Golf which is a great car, but not as easy to get in and out of as we found with the Venue. We also missed the extra charging ports and more upright driving position. In short, we’d easily buy another Venue when we’re done with the Golf. Thanks for the review.

In Australia we had the Hyundai Getz (2006-2011), which was one of the best-selling cars, followed by the i20 (Indian made flop) that killed the Hyundai budget line. The Venus is a great value buzz box and a good compliment to the modern Getz.
Suggest next reviewing the Nissan Kicks. The Kicks is the most direct competitor to the Venue. Both look good and offer similar power train.

I have the galactic gray SEL trim and love it! I love the exterior design! My only gripe is the sound. I did come from a Honda, and their sound quality is really good. Or I’m just so used to loud music 😂 on the freeway I put it at 45 and on the street I put it at 30-35. My Honda I wouldn’t go past 20. Any louder and my ears would burst.
Now that’s very funny that you say that. Which Honda model did you have in the past? I wasn’t expecting anything superb from this specific car, but for what it was, I actually thought that the sound quality was quite good. It wasn’t anything crazy, especially regarding the bass, but overall I was impressed! Either way though, I’m sure you could figure out how to improve it in the aftermarket if you wanted to. Maybe a simple amplifier and subwoofer install with a Hilow converter would do the trick! Let me know what you end up going with if you do.

@@DoubleClutchAutoReviews I had a 2017 Honda Fit. I will say the quality of the sound is good. I’m really just baffled at the levels of loudness. Logically 45 is a bigger number than 20 so my expectation was that 45 would be louder than 20. And I was just surprised that it’s not. At first I thought it was the level on my phone, but even with my phone as loud as it can be before it connects - that doesn’t actually matter. Although, I know that there are a lot of variables in regards to the loudness of the sound. I live in LA so I’m getting a lot of exterior noise. Especially when
going home after work with everyone else stuck bumper to bumper on the freeway.
I thank you for the advice in how to make it louder! I’ll have to do some research on some good after market subwoofers.

Im interested to read about the multiple Hyundai owning families as were another, in Australia. Ive just bought the top model "Elite" Venue & my eldest son is buying my 10 year old low km i30. He had my old 2009 i30 which was just written off. (He said my 10 year old i30 drives,better than a new Chinese MG). 2 other earlier model family owned Hyundais gave amazing kilometers & reliability too. They just dont want to die! I also love the Venue for its visibility & higher seating position.

Yes, it is very interesting to hear other peoples perspectives that live in different countries. It's amazing how many people have watched my video from all across the world. That's also great that Hyundai has been such a good brand to you and your family! I'm sure the Chinese cars are VERY affordable compared to others of the same class. However, I don't know if I would ever expect one to drive as well as any other higher quality products, and they certainly will not last nearly as long.
I had a Chinese "Yamoto" 50cc dirt bike when I was a kid. Definitely worked, and it was super fun for a 10/11 year old. 100% was a great way for a young buck to get into motorcycles/dirt riding. However, it absolutely did not hold up to me letting my irresponsible friends at the time slowly destroy it over a year or 2 until it was barely held together anymore... Despite the abuse, I know a Japanese bike would have held up a lot better even with all of that. That's why they are so much more money though!

@@KauaiSis Not a problem! Yeah, it’s a very unique color that I feel like most people either love it or hate it. I actually thought the color on the specific car was quite interesting. Also, that is absolutely ludicrous. I would never pay that. My buddy Paul paid smack dab at MSRP. I would insist upon negotiating that town. There is no reason for that car to be over 30K out the door. Paul’s was around 25K out the door.
@@DoubleClutchAutoReviews It's impossible to negotiate right now on Kauai with no supply, much demand. We tried, believe me. At the same dealer we had to walk away from a Nissan Kicks (only one on the lot) and it was sold the next day.

It is interesting here - Hyundai is putting MSRP plus "additional fees" pricing - I was concerned BUT it looks like destination and dealer delivery fees are being added in (about $2500 on a quick look, so it does effect the impression of being a $20,000 car - however, that is a good thing as people forget about taxes, fees, and a bunch of variables including thinking about the gasoline and insurance costs (cars are horrible for growing your net worth - so always keep that in your mind). Also maintenance cost estimating - so you start to peek at that warranty and the $$ and the "sleep at night" (surprises hurt cashflow badly unless you basically "self insure" and do your homework around that). GENERALLY the better the warranty the less maintenance surprises you open yourself too - the downside that is not really a downside I suppose (it cost money) is that you pretty much MUST change that oil every 8,000 km (my warning goes off at 7 or 7.5k - or 7 months).
You have some very good points! Yes, the cost of a car can certainly add up very quickly when you factor in everything that goes into owning one. Even just taking it off the lot, Paul had to pay about an extra $3750 between taxes, documentation fees, and registering the car before driving it away. That turned a just over $21,000 car into a $25,000 car very quickly. This occurs with any vehicle you buy, so it is very important to keep that in mind that the MSRP is not the end-all, be-all price. At least this car does have a great warranty, as you mentioned how important those are. As far as changing oil goes, I highly recommend and have no issues with changing your oil every 4,000-5,000 miles with full synthetic. I do it myself in my driveway, so to me it costs about the same or less as it would for someone else to have theirs done at the shop just with old-school conventional. I also drive my vehicles relatively hard, so I think changing oil more often than not is certainly better for them.

It is a cloth and “leatherette” combo. I will say though, I did sit in and drive the Limited at the dealer, and the seats are pretty comfortable. Wasn’t enough to convince my friend Paul to upgrade from the SEL though.
I'm looking at buying a new vehicle probably around the end of the year when the 2023's go on sale. I'm waffling on the SE or the SEL, the roof racks look a bit ugly, tho once I actually see one, I could change my mind. The green looks great, I love it. Again, I still need to actually go see one because colors may look one way in pictures and video and differently in RL. I appreciate the review and the breakdown off all the features. I've only owned cars, but I'm looking at a small SUV because when I bought a 55" tv a couple years ago, it barely fit in the car, it's a Hyundai Veloster hatchback, with the seats down. An SUV is going to have more room and easier access to that room. I work from home and put 1,500-2,000 miles a year on my car. I don't drive much, but when I do I want to be comfortable and have a reliable car. I've owned 2 Velosters and they've been great little cars, so I'm leaning heavily towards buying another Hyundai. Yes, I would suggest going with a small SUV instead of the Veloster if you plan on picking up some relatively large items every once in a while. As far as the trim levels go, I would recommend getting the SEL over the SE. You're not going to be spending that much more money, and you get more features that make the car much more livable and enjoyable. The Limited trim is also more money than you need to spend, and in my opinion, it's not worth the extra money for the few extra features you get, along with losing wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto! That absolutely boggled my mind that they made that decision. Please feel free to let me know what you end up going with later in the year! @@dereksans2623 Hey Derek! I’ll just answer all of your questions in one shot. I gave more detailed explanations in the video about everything, but the acceleration is not great. It does 0 to 60 in about 10 seconds. However, in this SEL trim, it did not feel terribly under powered. It’s a very light car, so merging into traffic wasn’t that big of a deal. You are not going to be setting any land speed records though, that’s for sure.
Remote start is available on the Limited trim Venue only. I’m sure you could get one from the aftermarket and install it, but that’s most likely not worth it at all. If that is an absolute necessity for you, I would just go with the Limited trim to save yourself the headache. Watch the whole video to get a full description if you would like!

Thanks for checking out the video bud! And yeah, it seems like it. I hope it lasts Paul a long time. And to be honest Jorge, I don’t even think I would compare a Honda to this Venue. Same goes for the Kicks, Seltos, or Outlander Sport that I mentioned later in the video. In my experience, Hondas and Toyotas are so built so much better than a lot of these cheaper cars. Hyundai and Kia are a close second, but there’s a reason you pay a hefty premium for Honda and Toyota. They also hold their value much longer comparatively. From what I’ve heard, people that own Pilots love them, and they seem to last a while. Do you have the link for the ad? You can just text it to me if you do, and I can check it out for you if you would like. The link might not pop up on UA-cam comment, they can be funny like that.

I will say though, the 3 colors of the Limited does come with, scarlet red, denim with the white roof, and intense blue all look like really nice colors. But why would they limit customer's choices on paint colors when you were literally paying MORE money for a higher trim? I really don't get it. What color Limited do you think you are going to go with since you can't get black, white, or green?

I still give my two cents in case people want to hear it or not. There were a few people that have commented that were not fans of this car. However, I think that was mostly based on the color. My buddy Paul was pretty much indifferent. 😅
