Linda is one of the best voices of a the past century and she is woefully under appreciated. I have had the great pleasure of seeing her in concert several times in very intimate venues and the even greater pleasure of visiting with her and exchanging a few emails. She is a truly gifted vocalist and a charming and genuinely lovely person.
I think I've watched this performance of this beautiful song 100 times - here on UA-cam and on my DVD of this concert. I get choked up every time. Linda Eder is simply the best vocalist I have ever heard. Anything she sings is so full of power and emotion. There is no one who can hold a candle to her.
I own all of Linda's cds. There's no doubt that she possesses the greatest voice of any singer anywhere! Even though I play my cds, I love listening/watching her on UA-cam.
Even though I didn't find her years ago, my wife and I are thrilled to be able to see her in Charlotte on November 22, 2022. What a great surprise to learn of this concert.
an amazing singer with a voice not to be believed: I've had the pleasure of seeing her in concert 10 times............her voice just blows away the entire audience. we're entranced by the power and beauty of her voice.
Holy wow! Just can't hide my emotions as she angelically takes me to a place full of innocence, freedom. and happiness. Have my watery eyes though. Lovelots ....
An artist with which one can truly use the word phenomenal. A great gift, a glorious voice, a most wonderful artist. I am consistently and joyously moved by her incomparable voice...
I watched/listened to this again.........Linda's voice is unreal!! a true gift from G-d, and I am so thankful that she's chosen to share it with us. I'd love to see her perform again in person.
I'm a fan from the Philippines Miss Linda, I first heard Gold when Nora Aunor a Filipina actress and recording star sang Gold during her 50th birthday concert 20 years ago, I deliberately looked for the original singer
She could sing my least favorite songs and I'd buy that CD and listen to it all the time! I was fortunate to see and hear her TWICE in concert. The most under-rated female vocalist of our time!!! :)
I found a "Mind the Gap" Concert from 2011 on UA-cam featuring Rodrick Dixon and Anthony Kearns - and I noted that one singer did an outstanding job on a song I never liked very much - What I did for Love. That was Linda and I have recently educated myself on just how great a singer she is. Just wonderful.
My dearest Linda, every time I treat myself to this Heavenly-inspired song I find myself reaching for a tissue! Or two!! Or three!!! The lyrics and your exquisite delivery and performance of them pierce through to my heart as if there were no flesh or bone to impede them!! God has granted me several moments and experiences that truly were "gold", and I will be grateful for them until I take my last breath. One of those pieces of "gold" is having the opportunity to hear you sing this song whenever I need/want to hear it!!! THANK YOU!!!!! Much love and all good wishes to you!
Just another masterpiece from one of the greatest vocal masters of our generation! When you’re a master, masterpieces are a dime a dozen. The only other singers I can think of that are of this caliber within the last half century are Sandi Patty, David Phelps, Anthony Warlow, and Lea Selonga.
WOW!!! How can I be my age (50s) and never heard of Linda Eder before yesterday. I was doing a search for "I'll be Seeing You" and found Linda's rendition. What an incredible voice. What heart passion expressed so clearly through her voice. I hope she sings that way to the Lord. Truly an amazing voice.
I can't answer that. it's almost not possible unless you had absolutely ZERO interest in anything having to do with singers, music theater, or broadway.
I can't answer that. it's almost not possible unless you had absolutely ZERO interest in anything having to do with singers, music theater, or broadway.
oofahman. You're right.........I've been blessed and fortunate enough to see/hear Linda quite a few times. I have every cd she's made. am waiting for the "Live" cd to be issued and will order it. She possesses a magnificent gift of that voice, and I'm thrilled that she shares it with us.
Magnificent as always. Had the pleasure of meeting you in Boston. You invited me and my friend to join you for a drink after the show. it was one of the most pleasant memories ever. Thank you. You are truly a love. Francis Leahey
I wonder if when all is done Anyone heard my voice But from the start, we have no choice Our journeys just begin I'll never know if I was right Did I fight hard enough? Or when the battles grew too rough Should I have given in? But here I stand and swear to you I did the best that I could do I know my voice was just a whisper But someone may have heard There were nights the moon above me stirred And let me grab a hold My hands have touched the gold My heart's been driven by extremes Blind with dreams, tight with fear But still, God knows that I was here And I was so alive And now I lay the past to rest For in the end, I did my best You have to live the life you're given And never close your eyes You hold on and stare into the skies And burn against the cold For any moment you might find the gold And there was joy through it all And I am standing tall I know my voice was just a whisper Someone must have heard There were nights the moon above me stirred And let my life take hold I rode across that sky and once I touched the gold Here in my own two hands I once held the gold
As with so many songs that she has sung, I have liked this from the beginning (when I eventually found her, that is), but, having said that, this performance is absolutely wonderful.
I hesitate to use the word 'standards' when describing those songs of yours, which I must, from time to time, revisit. Most are capital, or sublime, etc. This one is truly stellar. Brava. Until the next time.
Camille Claudel is probably my favorite of Wildhorn's though I would say this is 90% due to Nan Knighton's amazing score and lyrics. So underrated. THIS is how you do an eleven o'clock song, everyone!
I adore this song. Hoping to sing it for my NYC debut at 54 Below. Anyone know where I can find SHEET MUSIC to purchase? Can’t find anywhere, seems it was available in a book, but now is unavailable.
Excellent vocal range and songs with lyrical substance for sure. The "most under-rated female vocalist of our time!!! :)" - I can't pin that on her though from my point of view. That title, I believe would go to Lara Fabian, a better voice than Celine Dion and incredible body gestures that sells every song she performs (and writes!) as if she were performing an opera. Check out Lara's 'Adaggio' or 'Broken Vow'. Nevertheless I enjoyed Linda's performance here.
this song is from the new musical, "Camille Claudel" now having it's world premier finally at the SIGNATURE THEATER in Alrington (DC area). Starts April 1st.
I'm back, again, for a Linda Eder fix...........what a thrill it is to hear this magnificent voice!
OMG. I love, love, love Linda Eder's voice. wish I could see/hear her in person again.
I come back and listen to this every once in awhile: it never fails to thrill me...there's not a better voice in the world!🤩
Linda is in a class by herself: vocal beauty, vocal power, and sheer exciting singing!

LISTENING AGAIN........PROBABLY THE 10TH TIME....LINDA'S VOICE SIMPLY THRILLS ME..
Every time I hear Linda sing, I am blown away by her voice, her amazing control..........she's the perfect package.
She blew me away .....wowsa!
I've met Linda several times..
Kind and Humble...
Beautiful Talent..Beautiful Soul..
I had the honor of seeing her sing this in Camille Claudel.. it was MAGIC!

This is one of my two favorite songs from Linda. The other being Vienna. She brings me so much joy.
These are my two favourites as well! 🙏 So amazing!
I'm still visiting this song. About every 3 months. Love it.
THIS VOICE IS INCOMPARABLE!! I love you Linda!!!! FAVORITE SINGER EVER!!
I agree and have said the same thing. "Linda Eder is my all-time favorite singer - EVER!"
@@tomhart5232 you get it! 🥲
That song and performance is pure gold.
Linda is absolutely brilliant! Such a wonderful talent.
I could listen to Linda all day...........her voice never fails to thrill me, give me goosebumps..........simply beautiful!
I own all of Linda's cds. There's no doubt that she possesses the greatest voice of any singer anywhere! Even though I play my cds, I love listening/watching her on UA-cam.
no matter how many times I watch/listen to this, I am thrilled: chills & goosebumps..what an amazing voice Linda has!
Marcia Friedlander Right? She never misses a hit!
I absolutely love "the voice" * the most magnificent voice ever.....LINDA EDER ***
Even though I didn't find her years ago, my wife and I are thrilled to be able to see her in Charlotte on November 22, 2022. What a great surprise to learn of this concert.
A golden performance...pure brilliance!!!
Magnificent.
Chills and tears, every darn time....
She's AMAZING!! the way her voice conveys the emotion of the song.
I have EVERY CD and DVD on her. And I wish I had twice as many. She is a voice from God

If there's anyone with a better voice than Linda Eder's, I'd sure like to hear it. This woman is 2nd to none.🤩🎶
still the best voice ever!🤩💐🎼💚🎵 Brava!!!!!!
I watched/listened to this again.........Linda's voice is unreal!! a true gift from G-d, and I am so thankful that she's chosen to share it with us. I'd love to see her perform again in person.
I’ve been an ardent admirer of hers since seeing her long ago on Broadway in “Jekyl & Hyde.” Immeasurably and inimitably talented and graceful.
AMAZING!!! Wish that show made it to Broadway....I would have been front and center!!!!!!

I AGREE. AND I'VE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO SEE HER IN CONCERT TEN TIMES. ALWAYS PURE PERFECTION.
TEN?? Wow, Marcia, you are BLESSED!!! :)
thank you: I truly am!
I've seen her 3x, and met her and got her autograph! She's an amazingly sweet, talented, and classy lady!
AGREEEEEED!!!
Just so utterly beautiful and made me speechless this night. Thank you. - NYC, 7/5/2021

She is Wonderful!
The best female vocalist I have ever heard !
Linda is one of the most gifted and talented singer artist ever. Can’t think of many people if any who can match her technique and range.
OMG what a voice WOW!!! Incredible song so special!
Just beautiful. Voice and face.
Amazing! Beautiful!
She's an awesome vocalist. This song is among her best (written for her.) She's in a league of her own.
Brava. I could really feel her pain and glad. Amazing.
Phenomenal!!!!

The most unbelievably powerful and poignant performance
Blessed with so much talent and beauty 🙏🏻
So Very Beautiful!*********
PHENOMENAL!!
Beautiful voice, this song touches me, and made me sad and happy….i found out that love is the only answer…

Magic. Marvellous. Perfect.
I wonder if when all is done
Anyone heard my voice
But from the start, we have no choice
Our journeys just begin
I'll never know if I was right
Did I fight hard enough?
Or when the battles grew too rough
Should I have given in?
But here I stand and swear to you
I did the best that I could do
I know my voice was just a whisper
But someone may have heard
There were nights the moon above me stirred
And let me grab a hold
My hands have touched the gold
My heart's been driven by extremes
Blind with dreams, tight with fear
But still, God knows that I was here
And I was so alive
And now I lay the past to rest
For in the end, I did my best
You have to live the life you're given
And never close your eyes
You hold on and stare into the skies
And burn against the cold
For any moment you might find the gold
And there was joy through it all
And I am standing tall
I know my voice was just a whisper
Someone must have heard
There were nights the moon above me stirred
And let my life take hold
I rode across that sky and once I touched the gold
Here in my own two hands
I once held the gold
Gold standard
Pure golden performance
Stunning
As with so many songs that she has sung, I have liked this from the beginning (when I eventually found her, that is), but, having said that, this performance is absolutely wonderful.
Another astounding performance. I’m not convinced that she is human.
Wow. Never heard rhat one. Thanks soooo much!
Phenomenal ❤

Spectacular range.
This is the song I've chosen to be sung at my funeral
my god her dynamics are so impressive
It's incredible how every note seems so effortless as if she were humming a little tune.
Welp, time for my annual viewing of this amazing piece of art!
Camille Claudel is probably my favorite of Wildhorn's though I would say this is 90% due to Nan Knighton's amazing score and lyrics. So underrated. THIS is how you do an eleven o'clock song, everyone!
the show is finally opening here in DC on April 1 @ Signature Theater
Incredible voice!
Is it okay for a person to fall in Love with a lady twice his age?
Yes. I'm in love with her and I'm a woman. Nothing is impossible
swarnak Ray I fell in love with her when I first saw her on Star Search, I’ve loved her ever since.
It sure is. If I can as a gay married guy, then YES! We all can, 🙏
What a voice'
Brilliant!
THIS IS THE SINGER THAT IT SEEMS LUCY THOMAS IS FOLLOWING. FANTASTIC. ADMIRABLE.
Does anyone know if she still sings Vienna in concert? Going to see her the 22nd. I've waited 25 years to see her.
My most favorite singer in the world. She pulls at my heart every time I hear her sing.
I truly love this song.. I want to sing this in the Cabaret class I am in.. I cant find the sheet music anywhere.. :( I'll keep looking..
She could sing the darn phone book and I’d listen.
Ok, I'm a tad bit of a fan. 42 concerts. She got me through my darkest hour.
Sublime
I adore this song. Hoping to sing it for my NYC debut at 54 Below. Anyone know where I can find SHEET MUSIC to purchase? Can’t find anywhere, seems it was available in a book, but now is unavailable.
the show Camille Claudel is just opening here in DC in April. The soundtrack is not out yet....
Join the crowd lol. The lady is perfection.
