Dude my man this is one of the greatest videos I have even seen. This is by far the craziest bulb every designed. Your explanation it perfectly. Thank you
Well there are a few in the comments saying how dumb I am and that there is a way better/easier way. But you have to ask yourself, if they know what they're doing, then why are they watching this video...
@@BuckeyeBallistics i was going to do this the other day,but i guess they sent me the inner bright bulbs that have a totally different connection... what bulb do you recommend?? should i just do a search for 9003 H4...? there are so many bulbs... i want more light than what i have now...even with my lenses polished and looking like new i can't see very well... not sure old bulbs degrade in brightness...no idea how old they are...thanks for sharing..
okay i just found some cheap ones that say they are bright that seem just like what you have,so if they don't work great or last at least i can learn how to replace.. i will do one side first and see if they are brighter...thanks again
Thanks you were a help .... BTW : you do not need to unscrew the metal clip holding the bulb!!! you can just unclip it and it makes this job mucchhh easier. You Puch the metal springy piece and it will just Crip off and the bulb pops right out
Like others have mentioned earlier you do not need to remove the screw to the clip. Push in towards the assembly and while pressure is applied lightly move the clip outwards and it unclips. As for driver's side in your video it is missing the negative plate that you had on passenger side I'm assuming that weird piece of metal was installed to keep the pressure on the bulb because an owner before lost or broke it. But awesome video gives others info on reinstalling the tension clip if needed.
I did it, its much simpler than this. The complicated bulb clip is just a clip, just push it and itll be loose. Removing the coolant overflow is a good idea. Also remove the metal bracket that holds the coolant reservoir to gain a bit more space. Then the other side, removing the battery is just useless. You dont have to do that at all.
I just ordered both driver and passenger side headlights WITH high beam and low beam bulbs for $93.46 delivered. I'll just replace them both and have shiny new headlights! Im returning the low beams bulbs I paid $58.69 for at O'Reillys. What a rip off! ( '02 Altima )
I appreciate your video very much. I have so much hard time replacing this lights now I can re try it and finally get it done . Where did you find the low beam lights? Thanks a millón
Is the Sylvania xtravision like he used one of the best as Low Beam? I just got H1 vORock8 LEDs installed and now my high beams won't work or won't stay on I have to keep my finger on it to turn it on but can't release my finger or the high beams turn off. I noticed with the LED sometimes stuff in front of me say within 10-13 feet is not lit up well as was my previous halogen bulbs but even then I got the LED cuz wanted stuff near (within 10 feet) & far to be brighter. Basically I'm searching for replacement low beam light that should work better, be brighter and not mess up my other light settings
Just want to say thank you brother for your time and effort I had the same issue on my driver side and I think I'm going to want to just tear it all up just like you did just to fix that issue cuz I have the same problem there's no tension with that little wire but thank you
Tried to change the lights on my mom's car damn what a pain in the ass my car was built in the same year and it has easy access to the lights and has its light clip, never seen a screw in there before.
My driver side lowbeam went out so I got a new bulb and put it in. The light turned on at first for a few seconds then stopped working. Any suggestions for what could be causing this?
Yeah a short or bad/dirty connection or wire. Pop it back out and back in again and if it works again, then there is a short or connection issue somewhere. Also check it and make sure it isn't blown when you pull it back out.
@@BuckeyeBallistics it’s gotta be a connection issue somewhere I’m just not sure where I already checked the fuse and it’s not blown. I will be testing if there’s any power to the wires you plug into the bulb tomorrow with a multi meter. Hopefully I can figure this out before I have to take it to a mechanic
If you can just take the air duct out, this would be the simple way to do it. If you have to take the whole headlight assembly out, just do that. Don't mess with the air ducts or coolant reservoir.
I did these on my wife's car and it sucked balls bad I actually had to loosen the whole front bumper cuz I was just pulling out the headlights my hands were a little bit too big to fit in there to do all of that mess and it took forever
@@BuckeyeBallistics I can't say that you had me rolling you were getting so mad I know that I was I was getting really irritated I wanted this freaking rip the headlights out
It is stupid. Don't unscrew just keep the wire in place after flipping let hang and when you reinstall a littl tab of glue on the back of ht ebulb will help keep the tab in place. I got through the nightmare. It also helps to get that bracket off that holds the overflow.
As covered in the video, I did a few extra steps to inspect my electrical short. Just check all the hate comments from the geniuses that missed that on their preferred method of changing the bulbs...
Link to bulbs in description 👍
Love how there's an edit that says only loosen it then most the video is him putting it back together. This video was helpful and hilarious
Dude my man this is one of the greatest videos I have even seen. This is by far the craziest bulb every designed. Your explanation it perfectly. Thank you
You explained this perfectly I was able to change my sisters headlight bulb with no issue. Didn’t even break a nail. Thank you so much !!
this seems insane... never changed any bulbs more complicated and time consuming than what i saw here... i will have to do mine soon..thax

I typically buy Sylvania Silverstars
Don't take the screw off of the tension lever. Just unlatch hold to the side pull bulb
He just made that job soooo much harder and annoying
I see another pro is in the comments again- a pro that didn't know how to change his own bulbs so he had to watch this video to show him how lmao.
You also didn’t wear gloves for your bulbs “pro…”
Just used this video to change my headlights for the first time. Helped out a lot. thabks for the content
Glad it helped you

Dude thank you My light bulb just went out at night and pop the hood and I'm like how in the hell do I get to this thing so I appreciate it :-)
Best way to do this. I did the bumper removal before and it takes longer and requires more work. Do this for replacing a headlight.

@@BuckeyeBallistics my favorite saying to that is whoopitey doo! Like Adam sandler.😅🤣
Indeed, you are correct, this video is 100% wrong and cost me a new assembly
Right I remove the resovoir and the bracket! 🤣
Never related more to a youtube video
Lol, I feel you. That's why I leave all the bullcrap in there, so people know what it's really like.

Yeah there are better deals online on name brand stuff if you know where to look, like Rock Auto.
Hey
Yeah?
Guns&Cars wow I guess I sent this while using my phone as a flashlight...
Lol
Sweet. Before I had to loosen my bumper the last time I changed the bulb
Don’t need to take spring clip off, just press and un clip it
Good point about the mass air flow sensor
I learned the hard way...

I found it thanks

Cool 👍

I went thru the wheel well
LOL, i know right? To change just the bulb this guy is removing all kinds of parts. WTH?
The coolant fill tube pulls right out. Try it.
great commentary around 5:00 ha ha
Why the hell can't the low beam be as easy as the high beam? FU NIssan!
Tried to change the lights on my mom's car damn what a pain in the ass my car was built in the same year and it has easy access to the lights and has its light clip, never seen a screw in there before.
Omg... this IS THE WORST vehicle to work on... EVEN FOR A STUPID LIGHT BULB!!!!! I enjoyed your video and cussed along with you!!!! Lol
You don't need the take that screw loose that arm is just a hook so you push in and move to the side.

Damn u gotta disassemble da whole car just to change a bulb🤦🏿♂️
That's how they get yah to pay them to do it...
@@BuckeyeBallistics ikr
ikr, they bugging out and a stupid design
You just convinced me to pay for a pro to do this for me
Well you could always read some of the comments saying I was an idiot and did it wrong and do it how they say...
There is no need to unscrew the clip that hold the light bulb down. all you got to do is to unclip it.
Took me forever to get it back in
“This bullshit contraption” these lights are so annoying
If you can just take the air duct out, this would be the simple way to do it. If you have to take the whole headlight assembly out, just do that. Don't mess with the air ducts or coolant reservoir.
It's much easier to take a couple screws and bolts out of the bumper. The passenger side you can do that driver side not so much
that was corrected and the next gen altima 2007 and up
I did these on my wife's car and it sucked balls bad I actually had to loosen the whole front bumper cuz I was just pulling out the headlights my hands were a little bit too big to fit in there to do all of that mess and it took forever

I did mine on the side of the road what a pain in the ass
Yeah that would have sucked for sure!
My nissan altima 2003 headlight has went out 3 times and counting....
Only my left headlight...
Look for that short I showed and fix it.
I took the whole front off
This job is a nightmare ngl, I just did led for my lights and fog lights..I hope the car dies before I have to replace them 😅

yea, very dumb
stupid design on the head bulb
Once I seen the time you took to make the video... sad lol
Shit! You shouldn’t unscrew the metal clip..
Are you fucking kidding me ???? For a headlight bulb !!!
As covered in the video, I did a few extra steps to inspect my electrical short. Just check all the hate comments from the geniuses that missed that on their preferred method of changing the bulbs...
Agree.Stupid set up.Most things these days seem to be made by the same makers, whatever you buy anymore
They move lol
?
They move.
What moves?
WTF is this guy going through all of that trouble!! I takes 15 minutes to change the bulb on an Altima! He did WAY too much work... smdh...
I agree, unfortunately I found out after I had already taken off the spring clip. Turned a 15 min job to a 1 1/2 hr job!
ok so how can i do it in 15 min passengr side low beam
😂😂😂😂 That's not how it changes...you removed the wire and that's just a lock on the bulb, it only lifts up without unscrewing. bad work
Nah, just turn the wheels. ua-cam.com/video/a4dF7CqWPbI/v-deo.html
I'm not looking forward to this.
Don't follow this guy he has no idea what he is talking about.
I hate this car
