Well I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!!! Thank you!! I am a 76 year old hand knitter that treated myself to this wonderful machine. I enjoy designing things mainly for the homeless and missions. I ham a widow and would rather make something for the needy than waste time on TV. I stumbled across your post and now you are stuck with me. I am hooked!! I have crochet, knitted, made bobbin lace and other forms of lace making and embroidery for over 70 years and have found a new technique. I will be watching your videos to learn more!! Thank you, thank you! 21:27
Great instructional video. I have been so intimidated to start knitting on my new machine. I have been staring at it for couple of weeks. This video pushed me in the right direction. Thank you!!!
Thank you for this tutorial. I just recieved my Sentro and the info sheet that came with it did not explain the first round well at all. I've now been able to start a project thanks to your video.
Thank you so much!! I finally got my knitting machine out of the box, and did 104 rows on it, but did not have the slightest idea of how to remove the project from the machine. I am baffled that they don't have decent instructions with the machine. Your videos are incredibly helpful!!
Ok so here is the thing. I read tons of reviews regarding the various knitting machines and to be frank I was scared to purchase one. I came across your videos on youtube to complete my reviews and some others. I decided to purchase the Sentro because I did not want to spend a lot of money for something I would end up hating. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! I am so pleased with my Sentro. I spent a whole day reviewing tips and tricks and fixes. I also spent that day making mistakes and learning to correct them. Now have knitted 8 hats and 4 scarves. Christmas is complete. The more I watch your videos the more I learn. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your video, I have just purchased a Sentro knitting Machine tried it out yesterday for first time, with the help of your video. Keep dropping stitches but I persevered and today I have made my first garment I’m absolutely thrilled with what I’ve done no pattern whatsoever just did it all myself. Thank you 😁
Hi! Could you possibly tell me how you persevered through the dropped stitches? Did you learn how to fix them, or figure out how to not have that problem? My daughter and I can't stop them from happening. I'm so glad for this video, but surprised with how she doesn't ever have to deal with them.
Thank you so much for this ❤ I have had my Loom in its box for 6 months with no idea how it works! Thank you so much!!! Me and my dad had a great time watching and learning xxx
I am getting a knitting a machine tomorrow and I have been watching tutorials on how to use it all day! Thank you this really helped me figure out that it was not all that hard to do😂
Thank you so much for this video! No wonder when I pulled my leg warmer off the machine it was unraveling on the end because I was going under every single peg when I cast on. Thank you! The pamphlet that comes with the machine is so horrid. I could not understand it but this video wakes me up! And your cast off is genius. When I try to use the message in the pamphlet I lost all my stitches and had to pick them up with knitting needles and it was a complete mess so thank you so much! I was going to return this and now I think I’ll keep it!
Thank you for your help in figuring out how to use this machine! I will say that I've found it easier to avoid dropped stitches during casting off by securing each stitch to the right of the yarn guide as I do the "release" round.
So love using my knitting machine now i've finaly worked it out. Still so much to learn though. A huge thank you to Kati for introducing me to the Sentro.
You are amazing!!!! I just got my SENTRO…well I’ve had it for a few years but I was INTIMIDATED by it. I didn’t know how to make something without dropping stitches. But your process (going slow) really helped me THANKS❤
Thanks so much. I've been a knitter for years but bought this for my 6year old granddaughter's birthday and for the life of me couldn't figure it out. The directions were very scant. She kept saying "but Grammy, I thought you were a good knitter!'" Thank you for helping me save face to a 6 year old. She loves it! Thank you again. We can't wait to watch all your knitting machine videos.
I am so glad I found you and you were so through as not many pros with the knitting machines are so fast at telling you how they dont show you anything especially with waste yarn what a big mess! So thankyou so very much! Jan from Vancouver Island BC Canada
Thank you so much for the tutorial! It really helped a lot. I have improvised a help though with the yarn. I used my yarn baller to roll up my yarn, then attached the loose end into the knitter and no more yarn rolling about 😁👍
Thank you very much for your video! I forget things easily and don't use my knitting machine enough to remember how to cast on and cast off. This video helps me A LOT!
Thanks for this and your other Sentro videos. We just bought a machine for our 10yr old’s birthday and your instructions are much better than the ones that come with the machine. She’s happily creating and has lots of plans now ☺️
This is sooo extremely well done THANKYOU for doing this! I hope you do more videos for these machines, I just got mine and no directions to it at all other than to set it up
Thank you so much for this video. I am a new subscriber. I just received my machine as a gift from my husband. I have been making beanies for the homeless using a circular hoop by hand and he thought this would go a lot faster. Well I have now made my first beanie and am surprised as how quickly I have one finished and I do love the softness of the finished beanie too! I was having trouble casting off but your video explained it so I have it now down pat. My goal is to have 100 beanies done by Christmas to donate and now with this machine I have no doubt that I will reach my goal. Thank you so much. Hugs and blessings to you.
Hi Lizzi!! Welcome 😁 That's such a lovely thing for you to do. I have no doubt you will make alot of people very happy by offering such kindness. Enjoy your machine! 🥰
thank You Lizzi for making beanies for the homeless! We (my family and I) pass out sleeping bags every year! Now that I have my new Sentro I plan to do beanies as well! God bless you for helping those who are less fortunate!!!
I just got mine from the mail today from Temu it looks like yours mine has 48 needles. I use to have the original one that first came out years ago I do not know what happened to it. Know there's UA-cam videos to help can't wait to get started. Thank you for your video.
Found your tutorial very clear. There seems that others cast on differently. I had wool under white peg and behind first peg and made many mistakes. Thank you.

using a yarn that is a completely different colour then the machine would have made the stitches so much easier to see. (Pink On pink in this case makes it harder to differentiate the stitches).
Thank you for this video! I recently bought a sentro and I have been going mad trying to work out the instructions. Your video explains in detail how easy it actually is haha
Thank you so much for helping me set up my machine. I've recommend you to so many people since as I found your instructions so easy to follow. thanks again.
That instruction leaflet that came wit it was like trying to decipher hieroglyphics. Lol. Thanks for the easy to follow tut. And I just love listening to ur accent.
Got one at a thrift store, super cheap! Works great in terms of cranking quietly and I got it to knit up a pretty good half a beanie, then I wasn’t paying attention and it dropped a whole bunch of stitches and then I forgot how in the world I got it to start in the first place haha
After watching your video I am going to buy this machine. And I look forward to watching More of your tutorial. subscribed to your channels Yes I found The name brand that you have machine. Select $30 what a deal. I appreciate you taking time out of your day to help out others. How to learn to make different items and show us the way from Wisconsin.
See, this is what I needed. I'm used to loom knitting and to make hats I use two strands of worsted weight yarn. I was having a hell of a time getting this to cast on using two strands, two strands are basically a bulky weight. Now I know it doesn't do well with bulky yarn
This video is so amazingly helpful. The directions I got with mine DID NOT include the first part where you use your hand to thread it before putting it through the tension piece.
Good video. I have the little 22 needle Sentro and it does knit well. However I've found I have to be careful it doesn't drop a stitch when changing the yarn colour
thanks. I bought a knitting machine to my daughter and i didn't how to use it. I found your video and it helped me. We'll be waiting for more proyects.
hi l just wanted to say a big thank you for this vid, l have done loom knitting but my current yarn was thin and did not look good then l saw this machine and within 5 min's l was knitting with thin yarn your vid was great
This is fantastic, helped me make a discission to by one. I have only one complaint... Would have been really useful to use a yarn that wasn't pink and blended in with the unit.
I have the smaller sentro knitting machine 22 needles. Being sight impaired I’ve had a go at both casting on and casting off using the same method as you show here and made a pigs ear of both.
I have ‘t had the opportunity to discuss dropped stitches because my machine doesn’t pick anything up in the first place can’t get past casting on. Now want to toss it onto my roaring fire.
Thinking of buying this machine but not sure how to operate. Your video is such a great help. Thank u for sharing the steps. Done subs to follow yr tutorial. Im so excited to buy this toy.
So excited to have found your channel 🥰 Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials. I've just bought one of these to make beanies and blankets for the homeless in our area . Looking forward to learning from you bless you 🥰❤🤗

hi Katie! thank you for this video. how do I cast off / finish the edge if I just want the panel like a panel? not stitched to anything else or pulled tight to cinch?
Hello Katieree, I have just bought one of these knitting machines, and am wondering if it is possible to use thin wool or cotton yarn? and if it is possible to knit patterns (cable stitch....etc?) thank you so much for your tutorials! they are very well explained! and at least I can start more easily!!!
Thank you so much, Katie. Can you tell me - how many rows for a child size beanie in the DK (8 ply) yarn? 2 years, 4 years and 8 years. Will appreciate your help. 🤗
Hey thanks for the tutorial, very helpful, just got myself a machine. I was looking at the booklet and you're saying the thickness/weight of yarn is what the gauge is for, what happens to the knit/holes if the tight or tightest is used on 8ply?
Best video shoeing casting on and off. I just wish you used another colour that shows in contrast against the pink of the machine. Superb video, though, loved it. 😍
Why does the yarn drop.? I’m following your tutorial I’ve used the yarn it came with it used up a lot of yarn before it actually picked up. Then I tried a yuyo yarn which is a lil less thick it did the same thing I cast on individually for 3-4 rows and it just keeps dropping halfway. Please help
Dear, thank you so much for your tutorials! May I have a question? What kind od yarn should I use for my Sentro? I mean how thin or strong (if you can, write please for how big crochet it is recommended - this could help a lot).
I liked the video, but my piece came undone because I couldn't see how to find the first dropped stitch to pick up while casting off. The rest of the stitches were still on, so they were easier to see, but the first one looked like a stretched out loop tangled with others. How do you determine which floppy loop to pick up?
Thank you for such a clear and helpful video. I was able to cast on and knit a hat with worsted weight. However, it was too small around for any of the adults in my family. Do I need to use Aran or bulky weight? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to knit hats for charity but don't want to just limit it to children or people with very small heads.

Great video - the similarity between yarn and machine colour makes it a bit difficult to see the detail, but you’ve definitely sold me the Sentro !
Thanks so much for watching! ❤️❤️

Thank u for this. Tried to figure out the instructions.❤❤❤❤
Good video I just got mine loom knitting machine today . I found it a bit hard to see the cast off tho. ❤️😘xx
If you have a 48 peg machine your hats should definitely fit adults! Try loosening your tension or try a finer yarn.. I find DK (8 ply) works best 😁
