I’m 30 and still buy Spaghetti-O’s with meatballs on occasion.
One of the perks of staying with grandparents when I was a child was Spaghettios for lunch and Fruit Loops for breakfast with the surprise in the box.
I'm homeless so I always buy Spaghetti-Os, They're fire at 2 in the morning while dozing off.
Smart man. I got about 20 in my cupboard and a few dozen cans of Campbell's Chunky Soup since things are getting weird here in California. Hopefully, you're doing better or, at the very least, got a hotel room that Newsom is giving out to homeless people.
Doing alright?
I’m not homeless thankfully, but a kinda rough childhood makes me appreciate canned foods lol I’ve got a can of spaghetti-os under my bed rn with 2 cans of cheese ravioli just waiting for a 3 am depression meal pick-me-up. Hope you’re doing well!
Doing okay my guy?
Hopefully you are okay .
I remember seeing spaghettio commercials literally everywhere
Justin Y. You're here now too?
No comment section is safe from your omnipotence.
I remember seeing you literally everywhere
Uh-Oh, Spaghett0s! The neat round spaghetti you can eat with a spoon! Tell your mom to pick up several cans at her favorite store! You'll be "Oh, so glad" that she did!
Here before you blow up
I loved spaghetti O's!! Now I want some so I can set on the floor crosslegged and eat on the coffeetable. Watching The Munsters! haha
My standard 10 year old Saturday afternoon ♥️. The Munsters followed by Gilligan's Island 🙂
Good times
🥰🥰🥰🥰 your reply made me smile
🥰🥰🥰
Or staying home sick & watching courtship of mr Eddie's father.
McD's should give those glasses away again, retro style.
Agree ... them and Taco Bell, too!
watched the video and there are no McD glasses in the video and the last minute of the video is black screen.
@SuperGoldnut no my friend immigration is causing American kids downfall. Our society is being watered down.
@SuperGoldnut lmao i still drink from one today its a mith
BADD1ONE just like immigration caused the native american's downfall?
i had forgotten about Franco American, thanks for the delicious trip down memory lane. dollar tree sell large cans of Spagettios for a buck!!!
In an extra large can!
Ah oh spaghetti O's !
"The neat new spaghetti you can eat with a spoon" . Love eating spaghetti O's with some buttered bread to soak up the sauce
I was a very young mother and was married and left to support my 2 little children. So poor , very thin , all 3 of us would share one can of cheese ravioli. We loved it.
My Big Wheel had a flat spot on the front tire and went clump clump clump down the sidewalk.
When you floor it down the block to many times that the wheel starts loosing form.
Dave McBroom I just pretended that i had a flat tire for hitting a raccoon like my mom did. She felt horrible, I wanted to see what it looked like.... She said no.
my razor scooter did the same thing
I had a Rambo Big Wheel with the battery powered water guns on the front, and eventually it got a flat spot in the tires as well, but my father being a welder, and mechanic used an air compressor to pop it back out, but eventually I got it taken away when I mixed hot sauce into the water gun, and during a water gun fight with my friends he accidently got shot in the face, with the hot sauce mix while he was washing his car, and that was that lol!
Commodorefan64 tactical advantage
I remembered these Spaghettios too. Found them on Amazon, $10.78/12 pack with free Prime shipping. Got a package ordered. They have them with "chicken meatballs" too, but a bit over twice the price. The straight Spaghettios without meatballs are twenty bucks per 12 pack! I guess the meatballs are cheaper to produce than the pasta.
Awesome! So happy you did this one! I'm 44 and Spaghettios were most of my weekend nutrition growing up. 😃
Christopher Johnson I'm 48 and never got spaghettios, I used to envy kids like you, I didn't have them until I was on my own
dj blues I wasn't the biggest fan of them really. My mom did not enjoy cooking. Probably why I am a chef now. 😃 as Rodney Dangerfield said, "at my house, we prayed AFTER we ate!"
dj blues I laugh at people like you that think that, living in America, you were actually living poor. 😂
Hey now... My mom hated cooking. And bless her heart, she wasn't good at it even when she -did- try. Maybe thats why I've been a chef for the last 16 years lol.
I am 21 and I lived on a diet of fish fingers, toasted cheese sandwich and polish sausage 😂 Mom never bought canned soup.
Loves this video simply for the nostalgia of it! I too, was a child growing up in the 70s. The only time that I got to eat SpaghettiOs or Chef Boyardee ravioli was when my parents went out on a date night. So by all means it was considered a treat in my book. We also had the Ronald McDonald glasses! ❤️❤️❤️
LOL! I just purchased some "ring" pasta to make a copycat version of spaghettios....we must be thinking alike. I ate a lot of canned spaghettios and raviolis when I was young. The good old days. Great review.
I guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost my password. I would love any help you can offer me!
@Huxley Jaxtyn instablaster ;)
@Timothy Dante thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Timothy Dante It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much you saved my ass!
@Huxley Jaxtyn Glad I could help :)
Remember SpaghettiOs with hot dogs I'm a 70s kid 2
They still make them! Did they taste good? I feel like it would taste like a Vienna Sausage lol
You brought me back. I started thinking about my hotwheels cars and my Saturday cartoons. Yes, food is a time machine.
I know Spaghettios has a type with hotdogs, but I like to get the plain Spaghettios and add slices hotdog(usually beef). From what I remember it tastes better adding your own.
I used to love tomato products in a can like this as a kid. Spaghetti-Os, Ravioli, etc... Unfortunately, as an adult, it just wrecks havoc on my stomach and gives me terrible heartburn now . That's weird too because not much bothers me, but that stuff is definitely one of the things that does :(.
Sadly, That is one bit of nostalgia I have had to give up on.
anthonyspecf I am 100 percent with you on that. I would love to know what exactly is in it that brings on the worst heartburn ever lol.
beer2041 the tomato by itself is very acidic. I also cannot eat tomato(horrible heartburn). That’s my best guess.
I made the mistake of buying chef boyardee ravioli for lunch at work while my wife was away. *Big Mistake* I felt terrible the rest of the day and the nostalgia for it was gone after the first bite. Like most childhood foods, it just isn't good like I remembered it.
@@janX9 Try the "throwback recipe" they recently released. It's the real deal, it'll bring back those memories. Just get your Tums ready, no shame in that.
@@jesuguru2394 tums haha no doubt! I'll keep my eyes out for the throwback recipe.
Who else still says "uh-oh spaghetti-o's"? 😆
NicoNicoleinTokyo i do lol
me,me uh oh spaghetti o's
as a meme
I want the fishes cause they're so delicious.
Forgot about that lol
I am 48 and I still on occasion eat Spaghettios with meatballs. 😬 😎
My kids never cared for them when they were little. But then again my kids never had twinkies or any of that stuff. Spaghettios were a quick goto if not wanting to make a home cooked meal.
Christine Alwaysbelieve70 I can understand a kid eating spaghetti o's (I liked sausages & beans as a kid, and still maybe every other month eat them for nostalgia.) I also still like canned soup. But I never tried a Twinkie until I was 20 (I'm British they only came into the country a few years ago, I'm a week and a half off 24 now.) and I think they taste like found chemical cream and dry but yet chemically wet sponge cake. I can understand why kids won't like them, I wouldn't of eaten more than 1 as a kid. Idk if there as popular as they seem in the USA, but all I ever heard about them is that there a stereotypical fat 400lbs dude food, and I can get that. There not a sweet tasty treat, but if your a obese mofo, you can get your sugar and sat fat fix from them. Eww twinkles, give me a Bakewell tart anyday. Or a jam tart.
Yeah I can get the alternative when you need a fats meal, I liked as a kid and still now canned chunky meat (either chicken, beef or lamb) & veg soup, but canned pasta is just soggy & awful.
I loved the one with actual “spaghetti” and the larger meatballs
Man, that sh** is gross! I'm now having trust issues with eating spaghetti and meatballs!
@@superdragon1101 genuinely that one made me almost nauseous 🤢
@@darling.............. Didn’t it?
I am so glad that you do this for us, the people, so we dont have too!
I'm sure you have an Aldi in your area. It'd be interesting to do a comparison of their brands compared to other brands. I've had great experiences with Aldi.
Vincent Vader is that a car?
@@2004RADMAN .... How did you come up with a car?
Vincent Vader So have I, love Aldis
@@PrincessAshley12 the car company Audi
Hi love aldis shop there all the time. Their called rings or something like that. Definently not tasting like a spaghettio's.
Here I am watching this remembering going home for lunch from school and having these. Think I’ll stop at the store Monday and get some cans…. Thanks for the memories!
I love the wolf pit ! Down home family man talking about food , gotta love it
Say that!!!! And he's very HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 👍
Yep, my brother and I rationed out the meatballs. For every 3 or 4 spoons of noodles, we'd treat ourselves to a meatball. We'd always have a bunch left at the end to savor. Not too long ago, my brother and I were laughing about the meatball rationing and come to find out, old habits die hard. We both in our 60's and still do it with certain meals, LOL!
I love waking up to your videos and having an ice cold beer. Thanks Larry!
Jim Morrison did that and it did not end too good...
@@fumanpoo4725 it’s 9:30 am and I’m having a cold one right now and I’ve lived way longer than Jim. 🤣
@@charleshankbukowski4426 Your liver thanks you?
I am jealous! The Big Wheel was the toy I wanted so badly as a little kid but my parents wouldn't let me have. They were afraid I would be so low to the ground on it that drivers wouldn't see me until it was too late. As a parent now, I understand the paranoia, but not back then.
When I saw this I heard, “Uh-oh! Spaghetti-o’s! Franco American!” For me, it was a treat of every blue moon I’d get a can. Yummy! As for the big wheel? Omg the flat spot you’d get from pulling the “brake”. So much fun on gravel or blacktop!
Didn't ya hate it when u skided on the front tire of the big wheels after a while it would get that flat spot on it then you'd be bouncing up and down XD
TankCommando1776 kinda the only way to stop it tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I miss my big wheel
remember going down the steep hill for the firs time and getting surprised when the pedals started slapping the hell out of your legs
I remember my rambo big wheel having a pull brake on rear wheel
My Dukes of Hazzard big wheel had the pull brake on the rear wheel for spin outs.
These are best strait from the can. I learned this when I was a kid and there was a power outage.
Wasn't allowed to open the fridge. Can't make a cold cut sandwich without opening the fridge.
So I just grabbed a fork, cracked a can open, and dug in.
I still pack these in my lunch for work to this day.
I love " sketti o's " & meatballs !! Funny. About an hour before I saw this I nuked a can of Chef Boyardee overstuffed ravioli and they were terrible !! Grainy meat filling with soggy pasta in a kind of ketchup meets water sauce !! Should have watched this first and went for some O's ! At 56 yrs old , I'll never grow up !! Lol.
I'm going to say Mr. The Wolfe Pit, you may be looking through rose colored glasses on account of the nostalgia. Also I remember putting a ton of Kraft Parmesan Cheese on this as a kid.
SpaghettiOs aren't just for kids. I'm 42 years old, and still open up a can every once in a while for a snack. The thing I've always noticed about SpaghettiOs though, is that while they're still tasty, they smell exactly like vomit... No joke.
Leona Putney No they dont.
It really does stink
Love the Food lion´s serving suggestion, with the food flying all over the place :D
I don't eat Spaghetti-O's much anymore cause of the sodium and pasta cause of my diabetes, but every once in awhile I'll crack open a can just for nostalgia. Sure it's a trash food, or not good for you, it tastes good but once in awhile isn't going to hurt. The meatballs may not be 100% meat but that slight sour taste they have is pretty good to me.
I am with you 100% I used to eat the Franco American version after school and watch My Three Sons reruns. I still eat them regularly. I don't even warm them up!!! I eat them out of the can!
Loved those glasses. Family still have them.
I’m so happy I came across your channel a couple weeks ago, I really enjoy your videos and they are quite relaxing to me for some reason
No chicken in Food Lion. I find canned pastas more palatable with Romano cheese as an adult.
My grandma and aunt retired from Campbell's so I grew up eating spaghettio's I keep several in my cabinet, meatball and Frank's and I mix 1 can of each and divide in half my son and I dig in! It feeds us both for under $2!
How about adding Aldi's to these throwdowns?
My kids loved aldis then they changed brands and I had to get rid of them
That is a great idea!!! There's hasn't been a franko american around my house for 50 years.
Oh I love Spaghetti-o's and especially Raviolli in a can. I can't have gluten so easily now without a gluten-ease pill for it, but I always try to recreate it with a can of tomato soup and pasta.
SpaghettiOs with meatballs 👍🏻
Robbee diiiiiisgusting 🥺
I always liked the Franco American with the regular spaghetti noodles much better. Pretty damn good with parmesan and lots of Tabasco!
Yes, I remember when fast-food restaurants offered collectible glass cup drinks. 7-up (I think) had collectible team sports bottles too.
We ate tons of Chef Boyardee ravioli. I would love if you did a review of that!
I'm 42 & I still love Spaghetti Os :)
Loved Franco American spaghettios, and Chef Boy Ar Dee cheese pizza kits!!
I was born in 1957 and I used to like those when I was a kid too. My family didn't have much money so my mom had to buy the defect cans where the spaghetti rings had all broken...... we used to call them spaghetti U's.
If us kids were eating and found a spaghetti ring that wasn't broken we used to shout out.... *O!* and we got to use the bicycle for the whole day that day. It used to take a lot of hours to eat our spaghetti U's what with eating them one at a time to look for the whole one. Those were the good old days.
I remember eating spagettos and tuna fish sandwitch when I was a kid.
I used to love SpaghettiOs ads on TV, but my parents never got any. I doubt I was missing out on much, since we did homemade spaghetti fairly often (and once I learned to cook, I'd make it for the whole family once a week).
The secret is to burn your mouth on the first bite, then you won't have to taste them!
Sludge Surfa that’s so funny and true lol
I eat them right out of the can cold......... when no ones looking of course.
Eww 🤮😷
This. Fought back early memories, not of eating spaghetti is, but of coming home at noon and having Campbell Tomato Soup and a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch! Loved it then and still love it!
Gotta be UhOhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Spaghetti Os, the most healthy too. could you make your own Spaghettis Os from scratch without too much hassle?
Great video man I'm 38 and I still buy SpaghettiOs and meatballs I remember eating those as a kid and as a adult I still love them. Keep up the good work man peace out God bless.
Wow! You really brought back memories with that. One bad one though: I once had a babysitter who added a can of water to our Spaghettios. She insisted she knew how to make them and then told us not to waste any. Blah! If I remember correctly, weren’t those McDonald’s collector glasses recalled because they shattered when dropped?
My go to meal when I am sick even as an adult is spaghetti o’s. No meat balls for me. When you are so sick these O’s are very comforting. Probably because they are bland not spicy. This has pulled me through some flu symptoms, life changing.
these are my favorite videos keep up the good work
I didn't eat a whole lot of Spaghettios growing up, but the few times I did have them I loved them.
Strangely, Spaghettios were part of my core diet for a couple of weeks after I got a tongue piercing. They were one of the few foods besides mashed potatoes I could manage to eat.
DO STOUFFERS STUFFED PEPPER PLEASE I LOVE IT SO MUCH
Top shelf home from school lunch. With white bread toast. Buttered with garlic salt.
Thanks to you going to the dollar store now feels like going to the zoo
Sodaboy1996 except the zoo smells like poop
so do some dollar stores
I remember eating these as a kid in the '80s still love them today Campbell's are my favorite
Sorry last comment have u ever tried killbasa sausage - potatoes - and cabbage ? Cut it all up , put in pot - cook until water is hot - put in sugar - cook until potatoes are done - it's sooooo good !
LadySinsReal brown some onions before adding the water and other ingredients, add some marjoram and garlic, take out the suger and replace with black pepper and you're damn spot on :)
Yaaaaassss
Baran Blyat omg that sounds amazing ! And healthier ! :D will be trying that for sure !
LadySinsReal I forgot to mention caraway seeds, definitely add those too! Happy cooking :)
LadySinsReal. I love ur idea of adding veggies to the dish to make it amazing.
Man, whatever happened to these McDonald's characters? I always liked Hamburglar
kosai333 cutting costs they are retired for now.
My mom took full advantage of WIC, I probably ate processed food a couple of times a year when I was a kid, lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats and lots of exercise, I think the healthy start is what helped me survive the over 20 years of consuming copious amounts of lethal narcotics
Today is my birthday dudes! 🎊🎉🎊
Joshua Martinez Happy birthday.
Ayyyyyyyye happy birthday
Joshua Martinez happy birthday! 🎂
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY
Celebrate with a can of spaghettios
Butter up some toast and dump a whole can over it. Good eatin'. Thank you for doing this for we the people.
I hated spaghetti hoops as a kid, and hate them as an adult, so, tastes never really change... :P
twocvbloke I like regular spaghetti and meatballs better
they are putting sugar in everything trying to hid their cheap chemical filled ingredients in prepackaged foods.
Wtf is a spaghetti hoop
I would say "google it", but that's common sense, so, I googled it for you:

Trust me, they do. I hated corned beef as a kid but I love it now. As a kid I also would have never considered eating things like sushi and octopus but now I like both.
Way back when I was just out of school & poor (my Ramen days), I'd eat Spaghetti-O's & Ravioli right out of the can for lunch. Good stuff!!!
I was just fine, eating a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios with Silk Vanilla Almond milk...NOW...I’m going to Fred Meyer to buy a couple cans of Spaghettios, for a trip down memory lane. What other meals did we have when we were kids that you can still get now? I love your videos! Thank you for making them. Now, off to the store!
I never cared for chef boyardee or canned pasta type things. Too mushy.
cccckxcckeo Cool story.
They are delectable
Never considered tomato soup as a spaghetti sauce either, but dang if I didn't marry a man who thinks throwing hamburger and noodles into a can of Campbell's tomato soup equals goulash...smh.
They are disgusting, i used to love them, but now, i hate them.
If you like the sauce you can buy that seperately and just cook up your own pasta.
i like the throwdown videos, you should do more of these.
As a child my go to was FracoAmerican spaghetti. And Arby's had a deal where you could get a large pop in a Looney Tunes collector glass. They were like pint glasses for beer! I would still have them, but my mom sold them in a garage sale. 😐 These days plain Spaghetti Os make for a quick cheap work lunch. Not a fan of canned meatballs.
This was a fun trip down memory lane!
nuked them seriously? most of us use the darn stove they have special ones for the Microwave
if they are cans they go on stove if plastic they go into a microwave
eDDy L Your choice.
eDDy L I hate canned pasta in the microwave, much better on the stove
dj blues exactly microwaved food tastes different to stove heated
Edwardo Sanchez heating it in a microwave changes taste you cant compare 3 different brands using a microwave
eDDy L Your choice.
Uh oh spaghetti’os! Grew up In the 70’s . Thanks from Canada
Biased review due to nostalgia
Strung Out How?
How?
Any review is biased. All anyone can do is give their own opinion......
Agree 100%
Wow franco American! You took it way back. I was born in 75 but it was still around for a second in late 70s early 80s
Chef boyardee is absolute garbage. There ravioli is the only thing that is close to being edible. Their regular spaghetti make me gag the second it touches my tongue
Chef boyardee beeforni isn't too bad, it was my favorite.
Never could stand the taste of the sauce. There was just something about it that was a turn off.
I love their ravioli
throwback recipe FTW
Pull Tab Top is one of the best things to ever happen to canned food man
I Thank God that I had a stay at home mother who loved to cook and I have never had to eat that CRAP!!
We call those 'mothers'
If you don't love to cook, you're not a mother.
Joey, that's pretty sexist. Women who don't like to cook aren't real mothers? What about men who don't like to cook? Are they not real fathers?
Joey Greathouse You’re boring
+Brendan Dever moms are supposed to cook for there kids. Any parent is
Joey Greathouse your disgusting comments would make Larry Wolfe sick. This is not what the Wolfe Pit is about.
Ultimate food hack: basic SpaghettiO, store-brand frozen meatballs, cayenne powder, crushed red pepper flakes, dusted with green tube parmesan!
@8:54 theres just enough room for 2 meatballs in my skin tight 80's designer jeans.
I distinctly remember eating Franco-American spaghetti in a can in the early 90’s. It was actually good. Excellent video.
I get 2 small cans or 1 big can of spaghetti o's with meatballs. Boil up 2 beef franks and dice them up. Soooooo good.
I grew up loving my Franco American . One day, my mom cooked up a can from the Chef let me tell you that I gave her the stink eye the whole time and when I was done eating, she heard my opinion. That was the last time she ever bought the Chef.
I didn't eat these too much as a kid, but still...memories.
Ahh the 70's when a tv dinner took as long to cook as a real meal and the big scary radar range that made the fluorescent light over the sink have a dull glow when in use
I haven't lived in the USA in a couple years, but Campbell's was always the original and the GOAS (Greatest of All Spaghetti-O's) to me. I'll still eat the off brands if I want a quick meal, but when the Campbell's brand was on sale, I would load up. Just a nice comfort food every once in a while.
That tidbit about Franco American was worth seeing the Chef Boyardee and Food Lion reviews. I once regularly had Franco American for “dinner” while operating antique tape based computer systems on a night shift. I looked forward to those meals.
Spaghetti Os are actually in a tomato CHEESE sauce. This used to be on the front label. The sauce ingredients for all three here contain "enzyme modified cheese."
This is strangely relaxing to watch.
Don't forget about the sit and spin or the bounccey ball you sit on with the little handle you hold onto and you sit and bounce all over the place, excellent leg work out
All of the processed food was eaten while camping, corn, bean and weenies for breakfast and lunch, then spam and eggs with Frank's red hot sauce...yummmmm!!!!
Man the memories with chef boyardee. The ravioli one was the only one I ate as a kid.
Oh god, I was so addicted to Chef Boyardee spaghetti. I use to eat it like 24/7 when I was young.
I worked at mcyds in the 90s. We had a microwave device called a q er. All the buns were ran through it before patty's were put on them. They tasted so much better than lightly toasted buns.
Also those can meals are great for concerts or camping
I’m really glad I watched this. I had picked up a can of Spaghetti-Os and meatballs and while I was eating it for lunch, I was surprised to see that the can said Campbell’s on it. I always thought that they were made by someone else, but I don’t eat them as often as I did when I was a kid. Seeing that they used to be made by Franco American brought back many fond childhood memories!
