My friend's band did a cover of this song according to your version! Instead of the keys version, they substituted it with this punk rock bass playing the bass line and the drums under the vocals before it comes back in again. EIther way, great job! Can I ask you what you used to record this?
It's true to the tone of the original Tears for Fears song more than the Gary Jules cover. I think the Tears version is more interesting, contrasting a relatively upbeat poppy tune with some very dark lyrics. Gary Jules lays the depressing on from both sides and I think lays it on a little too heavy.

I like this version, but in all honesty. The song wasn't written for this music or this guys voice. Its meant be sad and touching, so I prefer the original. But nice one anyway man :D
