Thanks for the update on the next two episodes! Your garden at home was definitely a relaxing place to share your thoughts. The sheer amount of planning that goes into a rally as a competitor is mind boggling! You did great and are an inspiration to many people. Thanks Vanessa!
Well done you, great vid, if you had a break down before and got over it next time you have one you know it will pass, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, cant wait for the next vid,no crying please, thankyou.
Was brilliant seeing you run the Masterclass tent at ABR fest, I was a little starstruck sitting next to you during the Extreme First Aid talk!! Looking forward to seeing the next vids especially after your story about it!!
Well you promised us an incredible video series at the ABR and as always you didn’t disappoint, can’t wait to see part 2 and 3. It was truly wonderful to meet you in person, you are an inspiration and a legend in your own right! Btw did you get that picture of all the female riders?
Love your elation at the wildcat! You weren't just in one, you drove one, on the desert! Can't wait to see the rest of your rally experience. Go girl!! Cheering you on from the wales. Lj
My aunt Ailsa and her husband Klaus lived in Apapa in Lagos, they used to rally cars, and they came first in the private entry and third overall in the Ugunga (I think it was that one) rally, i am trying to find the news paper page to get it framed. I must have been a fantastic experience, they didnt have sat nav, only help when a passing car came along.
I am doing my first rally in Qatar in 1 week, I am watching a lot of your videos for the behind the scenes, and I am getting stressed just thinking about it!
Oh I love the videos are helping but don’t get stressed. You’ll be ace. The fact you’re doing your homework will help lots. AND I will be there too. I’m coming to Qatar Yey see you there
@@TheGirlOnABike first of all, I can’t believe you answered me! Secondly, that’s awesome that you are going to be there! I am desperately trying to buy some palm guards, but I can’t seem to find anywhere a place that can ship them to my address on time. Do you have some old ones you can bring and I can buy from you? Thank you!
Nice one Vanessa, looking forward to the next exciting instalments. Bye the way, I thought you did an great job hosting at the ABR. Hope you got time to enjoy the event too 🤘
Thanks for an amazing video Vanessa. Your enthusiasm is incredible. I was not aware that there's so much red tape involved but I suppose it's understandable to ensure everyone's safety. I'm looking very forward to watching the next 2 episodes.
You have thought about this challenge for sometime. Good on you for pushing yourself to do it. Anxiety is in all of us and we only realise after the event that there wasn't much to worry about after all.
Yup. Dakar is famous and very long but in certain areas there are other races more challenging. For example, 3 Dakar finishers who were in Tunisia stated that day 3 was the hardest day riding they've ever done.
@@TheGirlOnABike Due to weather conditions and horrendous navigation though? Plus with respect, three guys saying “this was really hard” isn’t what I would call an official consensus. I’m not trying to diminish what you did or the event itself but I doubt Toby or Sam would find Tunisia Desert Challenge all that difficult in the grand scheme of things. Also, if those three guys had done certain Dakars where the heavy rain hit or where there were road book issues I imagine they’d be signing a different tune.
I think my anxiety was probably worse than yours when you were sitting at the start line 😂 Looking forward to watching this. Having seen you at ABR, I kind of know what's coming but it'll be good to see how my mind interpreted your explanation 👍
Glad to hear back from you on this specific one. I heard that you had it bad there earlier today, but I'm delighted to hear that you pushed the button and all that jazz. We DO want you around, Vanessa! Take care, and it is never wrong to ask for help.
Vanessa at the starting line: ready, set, nerves then go! You and driving the rally car, just great, hope you had a little bit more on it. We know you made it when video published which is always good. Take care and garden work is worse! LOL
I had to research the Tesnesia desert challenge. Really quickly evolving rally. Very Impessive, Bike 140, your a Champion. Completing each stage is interesting for me because I read about all that is obsticals and well its real world event. Lot of Riders never finish some stages and are still very proud of their accomplishments. Your looking Great, and thanks for taking me along. 🎢
Quite surreal watching the video after we’d heard the story at ABR. Looking forward to the next episode.
Hehe yeah you had a bit of a spoiler hehe thanks for watching still dude
