can we get a video tutorial on how to update the firmware? ive tried it multiple times but cant get it to work, is there a specific usb device u need to use?
The panel has more than the 5120x1440 pixels specifically for the pixel shift function so turning pixel shift on does not compromise the total resolution... Anyone who says otherwise is blind because you can turn it off and look for yourself that there is a border of unused pixels around the image when it is turned off.
Thank you kindly. That information you provided with rtings tests confirmed that on g95sc on the vanilla factory firmware there is a peak brightness in sdr mode and a 317~ nits on a 100% white was so useful for me. Really hoping to see some cool stuff videos with 32 240 hz and 27 360 hz qd-oleds monitors.👍
From what I've heard, these panels are over provisioned in pixel quantity. So even with pixel shift enabled, you're always getting the full resolution. There really is no good reason to turn it off.
I can't even get a menu up, when I press the joystick, I get a very basic option to change brightness, contrast and sharpness. I thought maybe I need to do a firmware update to get the full menu available but the monitor won't even read the USB stick I plugged into the extender that goes in the service port.
I'm particularly drawn to the idea of being able to set custom window sizes with PBP/PIP on the G93SC, especially for creating a 21:9 window for games in combination with an 11:9 window next to it. (This used to be possible with older versions of this monitor but I think this changed this year.) It seems like this feature is exclusive to the slightly cheaper G93SC model compared to the G95SC. Is that accurate? Or can they both only use 16:9 PBP?
You can do something about auto color management in windows 11. Amazing free calibration (like professional) to any monitor and hardware that meets the requirements.
You say "you can access the menu either through the Samsung controller or the joystick on the monitor itself". What do you mean by that? What is a Samsung controller? I only see one option: using the joystick on the back of the screen.
Did I say controller? Since I have both Smart G95SC and Non G93SC next to each other I may have got it confused. No this version does not include a controller.
@@DisplayReality Thank you for you answer. I know it is possible through the application... However, is it possible directly through the monitor menu? So the operating system get the signal that the monitor is 21:9?
The G95C has smart features. That's is all. You can access smart apps and gaming. The G93SC is best for pip as it's easier. Bare bones monitor. Both equal in picture quality.
I had an oled g8 and I could calibrate the screen color with my samsung phone, the g8 has the tizen Os. is the G93sc possible to calibrate with phone? or only the g95sc, do you know?. Also, how can we access the service menu, does it have an IR receiver to use a service remote?
Maybe reset the monitor? Factory reset. Also sometimes it will disabke if vrr or low latency is on with the coresync+ . Just sometimes like it gets stuck. Just try and reset
Hey hope you are having a great day, I just got this monitor but I don’t have the remote and I don’t know how to access the Samsung os to use smart tv apps like Netflix and hbo, if I update the software will I be able to use the Samsung os?
Hey i currently have the asus version from the g9. But theres a problem. If i use PbP or PiP modus, HDR turns off. Without HDR the picture looks like a standart lcd. So i wanne ask if you use this modes on the oled g9 without the smart menu does it also turn of HDR ?
ON Samsung odyssey OLED G9 s95sc PbP or Pip mode HDR issue will be the same as on G9 s93sc? So you can't use hdr on one device and on other sdr mode?@@DisplayReality

Viktor, what are the options under screen size? Would I be able directly through the monitor to set it up as 21:9 aspect ratio? Thank you.
I also have the G93sc, how do you get the 240hz to work or put on game mods?
