My 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS Automatic - Pros & Cons

Been 2 years since my last video on my Celica GTS! In that time, I've sold it and owned this Matrix XRS Auto for the last year. It's been a great upgrade for me; giving me more passenger and cargo room, as well as a comfortable ride... all while keeping that same great Celica powertrain. After a year of ownership, I made to video to share some of my Pros and Cons of this underrated sporty hatch.

I have a 2004 base model Matrix with the 5spd myself, and I think that the Matrix / Vibe was the best hatchback car ever built. More interior space and more reliable than basically any other hatch made in that era. :D

Can you do a video driving it? An acceleration video? Do you ever use lift in the Matrix? Ever go over 6000 rpm in it?
There are NO videos of the 2ZZ automatic XRS driving, no reviews on it, no official 0-60 times on it, nothing!

@@tonystark701 that's not an automatic. -There are plenty of manual 6-speed XRS lift videos, but none of the -*-automatic-*- XRS-

So why this car over a corolla? Do you need the space in back? These are same price as corolla but corolla has better gas mileage and all around better car.

Been thinking about getting one, but it is HIGHLY unlikely I could get a car seat and 2 boosters in it.

Wrong, I have a 2005 and it has the lip and rear diffuser.
And the xrs didn't only come in automatic in 2003.

This is 10 months old, but you're wrong. The 2003 model XRS did come in automatic.

I'm thinking of getting the XR '03. I'm kinda worried about how it would deal with all the potholes from the winter time in my area being that it's so low.
