    Your video is much much more useful than the Halls instructions thanks very much. Only have the glass to put in tomorrow and we will be finished. Thanks again.

    Great videos Connor. I like the “8” parts. As for the gaps in the glass. Might be due to the expansion of the frame in the hot weather and if the glass was tight now come a hot summers day when the frames would expand the glass would crack. A solution I would use if you wanted to close the gap is a tube of black all weather flexible silicone. 👍

      james moore thanks James. But the gap is too big. The opposite side is perfect. I can’t understand it. I have some spare glass so I’ll just cut that to size. All keeping well?

       @connor sweeney I am finishing the glazing now, and also have this gab in the upper back windows.
      I think it is because we are missing the H profiles, which the manual says there should be 6 of in the kit. Instead we use the glass hangers which lowers the glass 5-6 milimeters x2.
      In the front where it is only one hanger "high" the glass can just cover the opening.

    Heyup thanks for your help so far just watching the whole build again with a coffee!!! Just wondering about that gap you had at the top? Did you find out why? Wondered if you were to pack up the bottom piece with something like a glazing packer (I used to fit windows) it would close that gap up? And did you find why is was leaking? I'd love to see an update video this summer with

      Thanks! I actually got two pieces of glass cut that fitted the gap - about a cm larger on the bottom side. All going well now!

      @@HappyDaysNI that's good but I'm on problem number 367 lol I've got the 4 sides made up and just trying to put the rear gable onto one of the sides I've used some stakes in the ground and tied them to them you know all about this lol yes I'm also on my own the mrs is asleep after nightshift! So I can get the 2 pieces to fit together ok but without the 2 bolts on the side but when I slide them into place to align with corner bracket I cant get them to go because of the geometry if that makes sense? When the bolts are in place they are holding the pieces away from eachother and I cant get that angled flat side to go under the corner bracket slot which I think it's supposed to do it all fits nice without the bolts yes the instructions are shocking I totally agree on that one mate!!!

      sweeney nice one regarding my issues getting the side and gable together I had another look and decided the unbolt the gable diagonal which I could then get the side to slide into the corner bracket into those recesses in the bracket and nipped it up was a bit awkward getting the bolts inline withe holes again cos the just wanted to slide down!! Took me over an hour to get them together dont know how you managed it Conner?

    Hi Connor,
    How did you fix the leak in the corner? Mine has the same.

    • @HappyDaysNI
      @HappyDaysNI  3 роки тому

      I didn’t. I figured that they don’t need to be watertight?

      Thanks,
      I called a sales rep this morning. Apparently you can add a little silicone to the end of the gutter in the gaps between the joints to stop the leak. I thought it was due to water overflowing the “internal” gutter behind the windows.
      I think I’ll give it a try in the weekend.

    • @lyndontaylor4440
      @lyndontaylor4440 2 роки тому

      I reckon the water is getting in from the gutter where the gutter finishes on the side frames it butts up to another piece which is on the gable side just wants a bit of silicon to seal it

      Same way as the sides. Start at the bottom and work up.

    I purchased this exact model 4 years ago. When glazing the roof I was concerned that there was no rubber seal to fit running along the bottom of the roof panes where the gutter channel is and that this would cause problems with leaks. I called the suppliers to query this and was told that it was not required. I decided to run silicone along the bottom of every roof pane to try and prevent leaks. Unfortunately this did not work and the greenhouse leaks badly in the corners where you have shown and there is also water ingress along the whole of the gutter area. There is a major design flaw with the sealing at the bottom of the roof panes and I would NOT recommend anyone to buy this model. It’s a shame as it’s a decent greenhouse but this lets it down badly. Go for another design or manufacturer!!!
