Fun fact: the 3GS is this video is the first iPhone I ever bought for myself. I have bought them for my son, and my work phone has been iPhone, but I never bought one for myself.
It's clear that their wasn't much the 3G had over a pocket cam, and even the 4G, while the colors were more accurate and was clearly better in low light, it still lacked detail that the pocket cam was able to pick up on. The 4GS though was superior to the pocket cam in practically every aspect from what I could see, and I could see why cameras like those started to be phased out of the public conscious by the early 2010s, really only being used by those who hadn't yet upgraded to a phone with a camera.
Yes, it didn't happen overnight, but by 2011, when phones were shooting with 1080p video and 8 megapixels stills, the pocket cameras were doomed. Today, it is virtually impossible to find a pocket camera under $500 that isn't garbage. Only high-end pocket cameras exist because they have to be clearly better than a cellphone for anyone to want one. Thanks for watching.
@@joeprete7424 the older they are the more affordable. 3GS - $38, 4 - $35, 4s - $27. The newer ones start to get expensive. Sometimes I can get lucky and get one locked to an obscure carrier. I don’t care because I’m just testing the camera. By the time you get to the XS and XR that can run the current iOS they are $200 and up. I’m working on a video for the 6. I will stop at the X as it costs as much as I want to pay. Thanks for watching.
At 18 MP for your DSC-TX300V, I should hope so. I didn't mean to imply the iPhone 4S was the ultimate camera phone. Obviously, they continued to get better every year. That said, I have an iPhone 6S Plus on order that shoots 4K video I expect will outperform any camera I own. Granted I don't have any nice new hybrid cameras but stand by for part 2. Thanks.
Please rank them in quality highest first to lowest:
A) Pocket Camcorder
B) iPhone 3GS
C) iPhone 4
D) iPhone 4S
Thanks for watching.
My Iphone 4S still charges up great. I did have an original Iphone too.

I managed to finally get a Panasonic NV-VZ1 and a brand new in box never used Victor (JVC) from Japan which is SVHS and Hifi Stereo. 1998 vintage.
The Sony pocket camcorder wins easy V the 3GS
How much did you spend on the iPhones?

My Sony DSC-TX300V beats the Iphone 4S easily.
