Nice work. I have an analogue TV transmitter so can watch TV without any extra cable etc connected to my TVS or Video Walkmans. I have some Sony Handycams with a TV tuner too.
I’m pretty bummed to see that no one has attempted to solder a small kit to fit in the back of the original analog tv. Or even use pcb way to customize a board to make this work on a much smaller scale. Was really hoping that would be in this video.
No doubt someone could make such a kit but most people put their analog tv in the trash 20 years ago and only a handful of us still have them. So it's a pretty small niche market. Still I demonstrated it's possible, many people didn't even realize analog TVs can still be used as smart TVs. Thanks for watching.
@robertshade8631 The adapter that you use to connect to an analog TV only knows one resolution, and that is standard definition or 720 x 480. Are you having a resolution problem with the Chromecast?
Since you have no remote it's hopeless. I would suggest getting a new one. They are not that expensive. I have a Firestick, Roku and Chromecast. There is no monthly fee for the basic function and tons of free channels if you have internet. Check out my Video Rocu versus Firestick for a comparison. Thanks.
Nice! Also has a nice retro-futuristic 1990's vibe to it
Thanks! I wish portable handheld TVs were still a thing but they disappeared overnight. June 12th, 2009 to be exact. Thanks for watching.
