- I'm grilling Hanger Steak aka "Butcher's Steak" on my GrOven over a Live Fire using Pecan & Oak wood. This is THE BEST cut of Beef in my opinion, tender as Beef Tenderloin, but as flavorful as a Ribeye.

I’ve found that high quality cuts like this and skirt steak that you direct grill hot and fast can easily handle “overcooking”

I am so with you Troy, it’s my favourite cut of steak along with picanha ( rump cap ) they used to be so inexpensive here in Australia, 2 years ago I asked my local butcher to get them in for me, I was paying $12 a kilo, $6 a pound, now they’re both around the $20-$24 a kilo due to the popularity increase, even chuck steak is $20 a kilo, beef is going the way of unleaded fuel, $2.35 a litre here for 91, soon I’ll only be able to afford marrow bones and bread lol

Only time I've had hanger steak is a place called Moonshine in Austin where they have a Jalapeno Hanger Steak. It is one of my favorite things. I've never seen it at HEB or Costco but I think I'll ask about it next time I go. Thanks for sharing!

Saw UA-cam video on a different channel and that guy cooked a butcher's cut. After it had rested, he actually cut it with a fork! Eventually I'll come across the butcher shop that has that cut of meat. 😀😀😀

Love how these are the real deal ans not staged with a perfect steak every time. My family likes their steaks burnt so that’s right for them. I like mine. 128-130 or so. Looks great ans my local store has them but they are frozen in the back. Sometimes the junior butchers don’t even know what I’m asking for. .

Great video again T Roy. The puppies are always into trouble, our 6 month old Rottweiler has been a terror but he's getting better. The cat is a basket case and my old Rottweiler just can't be bothered with him. My 18 year old jack Russell has a bad heart and faints sometimes after playing with him. Dogs are great but it's the worst feeling when they go. But it's always good to share some BBQ with them. Ha,ha,

It wasn't too over cooked. My wife likes well done so unfortunately I've cooked mine a bit too long here and there. That still looked plenty juicy to me!
