    Great tip! Thank you. Literally just went out and took 6 shots focusing on keeping my bow shoulder down and I held much steadier without the little shakes I was experiencing before. You guys rock!

    That’s why I love my Elite ethos. Very easy to micro adjust that draw length on the mod and fine tuning the let off. Makes a huge difference

    Having bigger legs stretchy materials are the way. Also going up from my actual waist size 4 inches to get more room in the cheeks and thighs. The new firstlite 308 pants feel really good and they stretch.

    Great lesson. I have said this to many people and they told me I was nuts. They want that extra inch or 2 for draw legnth for more speed, but always miss come the moment of truth.

    Badlands Andaire pants and shorts. Almost perforated so they are super comfortable and breathable. Theyve become my archery, hunting, and every day short and pant.

    Great tips, more begginer stuff please like how to proper measure best arrow length for the bow.
    I got 29,5 and start feeling maybe it is to long for me, but need to ask a friend to watch me from a side.
    I liked the 1st shot as in the 2nd You got Your head lower, amybe that is arm extension releated, but me personally I try to get my head low and lose group there and if remember to keep the head high a lot better shots.

  • @kevinarmstrong7469
    @kevinarmstrong7469 2 місяці тому

    Another thing I would mention would be the opposite of being too long is being too short. I've always shot 27" or 27.5" draw. Recently changing to a new bow I felt slightly cramped and got fatigued in my arms quick. Added that half inch and instantly new it was the rite move I felt my back was fully extended and my arms were extended and my hold was way better on top of not burning my arms out as quick.

    The bow shop near me can’t get you out fast enough…. Unfortunately it’s the only one near me…. These guys are the next closest but that’s 2.5 hours away. I think I just answered my question… that’s not far…
    I had the tight pants/shorts issue for a while. I removed alcohol from my life and added burpees and running and the issue resolved itself.

    Tim you've done a great job growing this channel quickly since the transition. Quick question - Do you shoot in log profile and then color grade from there or shoot in regular color profile and us LUTs? Really like the cinematic feel of your videos these days.

    • @TimConnor13
      @TimConnor13  2 місяці тому

      Yeah I shoot everything is SLOG3 and then convert to regular color in Davinci resolve with something similar to a LUT called a POWERGRADE basically its a stock way for me to save color grades I like

    Speaking the truth when you get slapped by that string it makes you not want to do archery had that happened to me when I was about 16 years old did not pick up another bow until I was 46 years old and having everything set properly and your shoulder right is the keyawesome video Tim.

    Great tips. Keep in mind when you are fine tuning that draw length, sometimes you can use D-loop length to get where you need, without a press to adjust 1/4" shorter or longer.

    I'm at that fun stage where the more I shoot the worse I get 😂 archery reminds me of learning golf, didn't think it was that hard at the beginning I could make my natural hack swing work but than when you try and get good and use proper form you suck for awhile before it gets better

    What about elbow alignment on the grip arm? I don’t have a hyper extended arm but I have a bent arm but my elbow faces the ground? I can rotate my arm so my elbow faces left more than down with correct 45 degree grip- but as soon as I put a bow in it I can’t? At 4:08 you seemed like you were about to mention how to correct for it- internal vs external rotation.

    Why is it that in pretty much all of your videos, there is always a jump cut between the draw and the shot and then your form clearly changes? I've checked out your channel from time to time and this seems to be the case in every video I have seen. Why not show us what your actual shot process, form and shot is without the camera tricks?
