I would give the darton a few bonus points for going first on every target. Probably should have rotated. At 3d events you rotate as the first person is at a small disadvantage. Great video though!
I like how clean the editing was on the moose with the bird chirping and the camera angle changes. That’s one of the things I like about your channel the most. Super talented videography.
Awesome contest you had here! I've taken a long break from shooting compound bow. Been doing all my archery activities with a recurve. After 7 years I got the bug to shoot compound again and bought a adapt+. It was very strange at first but after a couple of weeks I can shoot good groups with it. Good luck 👍
Bear bows have been awesome for a while. People are just too obsessed with brand names to notice. I have a 2018 Divergent EKO that shoots amazingly. The new flagship are better then anything Hoyt makes currently.
This is just more great content and goes to show the masses do not sleep on the non flagship bows, try all them you can with an open mind an you may be surprised!.
Bear needs to make a target bow. I bought a Adapt and i shoot that bow really well. I ended up giving that bow to my 12yr son. He shoot it well too. I put new gas strings on it and a good rest. Its a beast!
I know I am late to the party, but great quality video. The only thing I would change with this is the vast difference in stabalizers between the bows. You have different lengths and weights between the 3 bows, and especially in wind, will make them feel very different. Other than that, been loving the content lately, keep it up!
I've never had the luxury of owning three bows & having to decide which one I am going to use. I've been shooting the same bow (35" ATA, 6.25" brace height, 340 fps, 4.5 pounds) for the past 11 seasons, and I have no hesitation going into my 12th season with it. I like a longer ATA bow with a firm backwall, smooth draw, & is somewhat quiet at the release. My current bow checks all those boxes for me. Spec wise I don't see a need to change. If I want to get better, that's on me. I still appreciate seeing today's new bows, and the more affordable ones seem quite good!
Hey Tim, thanks for all the content you providing is educational for all the new guys that are interested in archery. Im a newbie and deciding to get q new bow and debating between bear Alaskan xt and darton consequences 2. Which one do you think i should go with? Alaskan XT or Consequences 2? Or just flip a coin and decide that way? Thanks
Great work with the whole budget bow series, and especially with this video. I'm happy that Alaskan won the shoot out, since I also have a budget bow (Hoyt Torrex). Bowtech became a huge disappointment for me as a company for what they did with Athens Archery. I wish you all the best at the upcoming TAC!
oh yeah call him Rin-Tim-Tim the way he got that dog in him. out poking beavers in broad daylight. picked up an XT to learn on this spring not having shot a bow since i was just a little fella. nice to see it holding its own.
Tim..I was so rutin for the bear. I am 60 now, but when I was a boy/young man, my dad and I would shoot. Dad shot a Bear Polar 2 and I shot a Bear whitetail. As life got more complicated I got away from archery. dad passed and I got his old Polar II " lost my whitetail in a fire" 18 months ago I decided to get back to archery. In remembrance of dad I got a used Bear Encounter...she shoots well...but...watching your channel and MFJJ....I really want a Alaskin like the one your gona shoot TAC with. Maybe wifey will let it happen. Anyway, I watch Bee and Bow deciples and Bow shepards, MFJJ and Elkshape...but... yours is the only channel that is...well...down to earth. Someone who I think would I could hang out with, and who would hang out with me "the average guy". Keep up the good work.
I shoot Bowtechs, but was rooting for the Bear. We all know it comes down to the shooter, but different setups, (lens/stabs/etc) do make incremental differences and those do add up. Next time you test them side by side, try and alternate the bow order each target to give equal chance for adjustments. Appreciate the videos as always! Hope Tac was a good time and the Bear ended up towards the top!
It's nice to see more affordable options doing so well. I have the bowtech reckoning gen 2 36, and haven't really shot other bows. But the "no press required tuneability" is just a must for me. It will be nice once all the patents run out. I would love to try other bows in the future if they are just as adjustable.
Tim, I am looking at getting a new Bowtech. Currently have the Solution. How do you like your Core SS? Pros/ cons? would you have gone with the SR? Thanks Chris
So I got my ss34 few months ago, shot a few on comfort like handful few. Switched to performance felt it was close enough to comfort I'll leave it for the 10fps. Anyway I've shot the hell out of it ( wish it was 2lb lighter) love it too. Switched to comfort this weekend and really leveled up my love for her too. Do I need to papertune after switching mode? I know the answer now! Damnit
God that Bowtech was loud and you could actually here it vibrate. And to think I actually almost considered looking at an Ss before I get a phase 4. So glad I watched this video. Darton was the same. I would've picked the bear just based on being quieter and having less vibration. Thats why i want the Phase 4 longer riser, less mass weight, quieter, faster, and i guarantee it outshoots all other hunting bows and even mosts tartget bows.
Awesome shooting. The only problem I see is that you're judging the bows mainly based on your shooting abilities. And we, the followers, know you can be a little shaky at times. I think that all those bows can far outperform all of us as archers. Probably be better off judging them by features and tunability.
Was the Bowtech tape off just a pinch? Had a few low shots out of it vs the others. All in all I think you did shoot the Bear better. Could definitely get a sense you wanted the Bowtech to perform, just for whatever reason it didn't. Good video though. That Bear is incredible for the money.
Hey Tim! I like this video contest great products if u get the chances shoot a bowtech amplify its a budget bow and I liked it over the other two budgets bows u shot! My opinion on that but my cousin ended up buying the amplify and I got the Hoyt alpha x 30 but was very impressed with the speed and consistency of the cheaper bowtech but just give it a try if u can you’ll be impressed! For bows setup this season I have a bowtech rpm 360 @72 lbs, Hoyt Alpha x 30 @80, quest rogue @ 70, pse dna force @ 72! I love all of them and shoot long range with all!
Doing something like this seems extremely fun. Me and my team was wondering, would you do something like this for broadheads as well? We got a couple we wanted to test out. Do you have a good business email so we can go more in detail if you're interested?
I was rooting for the Bear! I was sad the whitetail max got bumped (that’s what I have). But still excited to see a Bear make it and win. Great videos! Now go beat mfjj with a Bear!
I would give the darton a few bonus points for going first on every target. Probably should have rotated. At 3d events you rotate as the first person is at a small disadvantage. Great video though!
Agreed 👍
Totally agree on the bow rotation. Kind of a raw deal on the Darton first every time especially in wind.
100%
The longer ATA wins, as it should.....
You've gotten a lot better at shooting as far as your form and execution of the release from a year or two ago.
Thank you my dude
Staying in the shot with that much wind is no joke. Over the last couple years you’ve stepped your game up drastically brother 🙌🏼
I like how clean the editing was on the moose with the bird chirping and the camera angle changes. That’s one of the things I like about your channel the most. Super talented videography.
I got a Bear Alaskan XT so I was rooting for it. Glad it won!
I really like these bow shoot off challenges, or just the comparison videos in general. Another nice vid. Thanks for posting.
Honestly major props for sticking to the game and taking the bow that shot best for you. Even if it was only by a tiny bit. Good luck at the shoot. 🍀
thanks G
Thanks for this one Tim! It just proves that a budget bow can compete!
Idc what anyone says...bear makes some bangers for the working class. Love to see it!!

After 7 years I got the bug to shoot compound again and bought a adapt+. It was very strange at first but after a couple of weeks I can shoot good groups with it. Good luck 👍
That’s awesome that the Bear won. I love seeing budget gear holding its own against much higher priced stuff.
That beaver comment 😂
I know you need to be a crack shot to hitting the scoring ring on the beaver.
Too damn funny😅
I Love the little basic tips while shooting, I am now putting my index finger to my thumb when shooting my finger release and it has help my shot. Thx
Great video! Glad to see the Bear win I don't think they get enough love online. (I shoot a Hoyt)
Wow, making Bear archery Great Again!
Bear bows have been awesome for a while. People are just too obsessed with brand names to notice. I have a 2018 Divergent EKO that shoots amazingly. The new flagship are better then anything Hoyt makes currently.
After everything that happened. I'm glad you have something that is yours. Good job. Lots of love, and God bless you Tim.
I just got back from my first ever tac event. Had a great time and look forward to seeing you at future events
This is just more great content and goes to show the masses do not sleep on the non flagship bows, try all them you can with an open mind an you may be surprised!.
yeah it's hard and frankly kind of ridiculous to test bows to these lengths, but hey that's what makes youtube cool
Bear needs to make a target bow. I bought a Adapt and i shoot that bow really well. I ended up giving that bow to my 12yr son. He shoot it well too. I put new gas strings on it and a good rest. Its a beast!
I hit the like button as soon as your doggo comes on I hit the like button!😂😂😂 Great video thank you for sharing!
Great video brother your bow form is looking spot on youve come a long ways!! By the way, I prefer my beavers clean and hairless as well !!!
I know I am late to the party, but great quality video. The only thing I would change with this is the vast difference in stabalizers between the bows. Look at those luscious locks flap in the wind. 😂 Keep up the great content brother!

Sounds like an alphamax lol

@@darioroadking23 darton is a heavier duty build if you’re okay with the price
@@TimConnor13Thank you for your input.

Game time 🏹 nice video brother
oh yeah call him Rin-Tim-Tim the way he got that dog in him. out poking beavers in broad daylight. picked up an XT to learn on this spring not having shot a bow since i was just a little fella. nice to see it holding its own.
Talk about $hit happens. We shot the BTB 3D open last weekend in wind and rain. The Last hour was miserable, but looking back it was a blast.
Did I miss something? What made you switch to a trigger?
I often shoot a trigger with a hunting setup ✊
Tim..I was so rutin for the bear. I am 60 now, but when I was a boy/young man, my dad and I would shoot. Dad shot a Bear Polar 2 and I shot a Bear whitetail. YEEESSSSSS!!! I was rooting for the bear!!!
How big of a deal is arrow clocking in your opinion? My arrows have been clocking a fair bit in low teens mph winds at times. Thanks
Well done gents. Really enjoyed this.
I was rooting for bear all the way 💪🏼💪🏼
I just shot my first TAC in Oklahoma with my Bear Execute 32. It was super fun and challenging. I hope the Bear wins for you.
I shoot Bowtechs, but was rooting for the Bear. We all know it comes down to the shooter, but different setups, (lens/stabs/etc) do make incremental differences and those do add up. Timmy outa pocket with the beaver comments lol
Did we just watch you sling your shaft down a dark hallway until it impaled a slick beaver!?!?
Solid shooting!
Tim, I am looking at getting a new Bowtech. Currently have the Solution. How do you like your Core SS? Pros/ cons? would you have gone with the SR? Thanks Chris
Wish Darton offered the Consquence in a 34 inch axel option.
I'm going to be running with the Bear Alaskan XT at NW mountain challenge this year also my first time.🤞
Beaver life 🤘
Would love to hear your opinion on the pse Mach 30 DS.

How much for that used Darton
i'll likely hunt or do a hunt with it.. it's such a good bow for the size
What arrows are you shooting?

the beaver comment hahah in all honesty though the bowtech looked unstable in the wind!
I like Bowtech but at that price point how can you not pull for the Bear!

Something sounded loose on the Darton.

I think it’s easy to get caught up in the brand bias. Thanks Tim for proving that brand bias is only as strong as the shooter.
Might see you there.
Prepare for rain.....

Good Video ! Peace from Germany Tim ✌
Feel bad for Darton It seems like it won all the other challenges up until this one
1:15 just don’t pee into the wind
Great video 👍👍
These “budget” bows continue to impress me. Just goes to show you don’t need to spend thousands on a flagship to be accurate and deadly!
Great for the Bear bow, not so much for the Bowtech flagship bow 🤣
Core ss wasn't the flagship that was the Carbon 1
I have a bear legend xr bow and I am very happy with it
Just letting you know thicker coated more hairy beavers are better for warmth 😂
Had a feeling it might shake out like that. Take down Josh. Take down B-Mac. And do it with the budget Bear.
If it all works out, I’d dub that bow the Beaver Beater. Just sayin.
Nice video dude!!!
Thank you my dude
I’ve been hunting bald and short haired beavers for years!
It aint a tim C video without a beaver or cougar euphemism 😅🤣🤣
Come for the archery, stay for the innuendos
Bowtech--beat out by an entry-level Bear that cost less than half the price.😂
#thefredbearway
Doing something like this seems extremely fun. Me and my team was wondering, would you do something like this for broadheads as well? We got a couple we wanted to test out. Do you have a good business email so we can go more in detail if you're interested?
So is it just me that thinks paying almost $1000 for a damn bow sight is insane
Brandon Macdonald is makin that money!
Bowtech killed Athens but Fred Bear killed Bowtech 😂
Awsome video
Making up my mind, Alaskan XT will most likely be my next bow.
I was rooting for the Bear! I was sad the whitetail max got bumped (that’s what I have). But still excited to see a Bear make it and win. Great videos! Now go beat mfjj with a Bear!
Not enough scientific, neither fair. Hello from France
Makes me want a bear
Definitely the Bowtech is quieter.
It is amazing what some people call budget. Try under $300 US per bow with THEIR cheap accessories.
Bring back the Hoyt…. 😉
You should take the darton
PSE Mach 34
Take the Bear.
You don't like any of that PNW un-groomed beaver?
I was rooting for darton😢
I prefer my beaver 🦫 with less hair.
Why no Mathews Lift??
