You are my goto person for helmet questions lol. I've really been thinking of a new helmet for next year, but I'm still unsure what I want. The audio quality seemed pretty damn good for what it was. The modular seems cool, I just feel like the extra noise would bug me.
The extra noise from the modular is still less than a lot of regular helmets. Honestly the RFSR would suit you good man. You can even find them second hand like I did mine for like $200 barely used.
Hmmmm I must try a modular at some point, I still am trying to get use to a FF but I am beginning to love the look of this white one you have on, would match my bike too!! Great review as always, it is nice that the visor opens just enough to let some air in.
This is my second, I had a Neotec 1 that was fantastic so I had a good feeling about this. Feel like it could be useful on those trails of yours when going slower speeds
Great review Brett 👍 I love my RFSR. I’ve considered an additional one, particular a modular helmet next time for being able to lift the lid easily on those warmer days.
Very detailed and practical comparison mate. I’d like to swap my GT Air II for the Neotec 2 however the GoPro audio options make it too difficult. I like a chin mount however I’d prefer not to use Bluetooth, therefore I need the mic adapter. ✌️
I like my bottom end in speakers too I replaced my stock speakers in my helmet for the Scala Rider JBL they are very good given the size of them. keep safe man.
I haven’t looked but I know they make HD speakers for Sena units but haven’t determined to see if they work on SRL2. Usually when tuning it up I’m in my Ruroc
Not sure about modern helmets but I always rode with Shoei helmets, wind noise want a consideration back then but they fitted well and they had a seat belt buckle which I loved, shame they eventually ditched it… nice review of a quality helmet 👍🏻👍🏻
I sport a Neotec 2 for almost 4 years now and love it. Next helmet would be either a budget one like a Voss(amazing visors etc) or an expensive one in the like of Schuberth or a Klim maybe an Arai 🙄 Bass sound is always better than treble in your ears in my opinion.
I m watching this because my rf-sr is without a doubt the loudest helmet I’ve owned . Without earplugs it’s unbearable above 35mph . First time I’ve heard someone say this modular is loud.
I Have both and my thoughts are- I only reach for the Neo Tech 2. Weight, Noise, Accessibility, Comfort, air flow, cooling. At $1250 oz $ Over 5 years . Per week it’s 5 bucks. Why spend 25k Oz money on a bike and put an uncomfortable lid on your head so you enjoy the ride less. When my girl picks up her bike I’ll push her towards the Shoei for an upgrade.
I experimented thwbother day, wearinf my noise canceling airbpod pros, and talk about a quiet ride! Just not comfortable in the ears because of the size of them. (the air pods, not my ears ) haha😉
Great video. I have been running this helmet since March and I love it. I was not sure I would like that rachet strap but it is really easy to use, even with gloves. Being modular is an expensive option, who really needs it? Its has turned in to my go to when I'm hitting the road. Ride safe.
It’s working it’s way more into the rotation for me. It’s nice to just have the ability whether it’s needed or not lol. Also minnow I just noticed I was not subscribed to you. Def got you added now.
Wait $700? No way it can be worth that price in safety, functionality, or quiet. I have a VOX Condor modular helmet and my only real complaint is the middle front padding wore out pretty quick but the added wait of the gopro and battery bank is probably to blame. I’m debating about shopping for a new helmet for next season.
I dunno, it’s more than I would have wanted to pay. I got it with the Sena for $600 shipped as opposed to close to $1000 for the setup. There is something about a Shoei that is just… smoooooooth
Good review buddy. I wouldn’t know but I’ve been using a cheap modular helmet for a long time now and it works pretty good. I do have a scorpion Hx1 but I rarely use it. I can tell though it’s much quieter than the modular helmet. Yeah I still haven’t done a video with the Scorpion lol 😂
Why are you comparing a full face to a modular????? And knocking one for both having the features of another??? I want the time I wasted watching this review back!!!
I love how I can get a drink of water while I'm riding but easily lifting the lid up...
Hahah that would be nice. Maybe I should fit a cup holder lol.
The ratchet lock is a bonus...my old one did not have that.
Yep it’s a close second to fidlock buckle Ruroc has but still super easy
Another excellent comparison. No one knows helmets like you do Brett!
Hahahah y’all know me too well
Great video review Brett ! I liked the way you broke down the different scenarios and how it performed against your other Shoei. Cheers amigo ! Eddie
Thanks Eddie! Thought of comparing to Ruroc but was hoping to negate any fanboy comments if it outperformed the Shoei hahah
I LOVE my Shoei Neotec 2...I only have my Neotec 1 to compare it to.
I had a 1, I felt they made some good upgrades to it.
I don't think a modular can be as quiet as a full face...it is what it is.
For sure, and it’s not bad by any means as you know.
Great comparison Brett. I never had the Shoei helmet, but I believe that they make quality ones. The white one is so elegant. Keep going.
Thanks man. Something about a white helmet looks so good and matches basically everything.

Thank you. The full face do take some getting used to for sure
Never owned a modular helmet, does seem nice to get all that fresh air
This is my second, I had a Neotec 1 that was fantastic so I had a good feeling about this. Feel like it could be useful on those trails of yours when going slower speeds
I used to have a Nolan Modular. Loved that helmet. Would not mind anothe rmodular helmet for commuting.
Thanks for the review.
Yep I think it’s a great commuter helmet!
I definitely miss having a modular for some reason though love a full face for others. We'll see where I go once the Ruroc ages out
I figure I should be set for a few years but that won’t stop me if RPHA has a new modular lol
Great review Brett 👍 I love my RFSR. I’ve considered an additional one, particular a modular helmet next time for being able to lift the lid easily on those warmer days.
Keep an on used market for some. It’s amazing what people get rid of after 2 or 3 rides
Very detailed and practical comparison mate.

I like a chin mount however I’d prefer not to use Bluetooth, therefore I need the mic adapter. ✌️
Yea I’d you are wired into a chin mount this would be pretty difficult for a vlogger. This is more a R&R helmet for me lol
I like my bottom end in speakers too I replaced my stock speakers in my helmet for the Scala Rider JBL they are very good given the size of them. keep safe man.

Thank you…. A seat belt buckle you say? I feel like that would be pretty safe, I mean they use them on airplanes.

Arai made a 3/4 specifically for the 2018 z900rs…. Used they still fetch a pretty penny
If any know their helmets it’s you Brett, great work as always 😎👏🏻
Haha thank you!!!
I miss my Shoei rfsr. Looks better then the neotec and I get less buffetting with the rfsr. Good stuff man
I hadn’t got the buffeting yet but the wind had been pretty mild until the last month or so
I m watching this because my rf-sr is without a doubt the loudest helmet I’ve owned . Without earplugs it’s unbearable above 35mph . First time I’ve heard someone say this modular is loud.
It’s just bassier and not great for my ears. Other people might be perfect for it
So nice driving !
Thank you
I want a purple visor!!
I think my blue is as close as official Shoei would make
Audio is fine.
Thank you!!
Audio quality is Great !

I hear ya man. It’s a solid helmet for sure. I use it a lot more than anticipated. I don’t even really grab for the RFSR anymore
good stuff Chopper !!! id use Shoei i just have Arai's
Arai is one brand I haven’t experienced. They make a z900rs painted one that goes for huge dollars
they fit me the best. i want a isle of the man running legs one just havent popped for a new one yet i need to though .
I experimented thwbother day, wearinf my noise canceling airbpod pros, and talk about a quiet ride! Just not comfortable in the ears because of the size of them. (the air pods, not my ears ) haha😉
You should try my speaker pad spacer trick
Your like the “Helmet Lord” 🤙🏼
Agree, love it

👍💯 great video.
Thank you good sir!
Great review. Breaking down all the major points, however, you owe $5 for leaving the turn signal on...hahaha
Dang you saw that too huh. Thought of putting a giant sticker over it during the video lol.
So8nds good too me. Good review.
Thanks man.
@@ChopperFett absolutely. I'm on the hunt for a new helmet and you did a good job on this review.
How many helmets is this for you now?!?
I’ll have to start using my toes to count…. Hahah
1st step is admitting you have a helmet Addiction
I just ordered another Ruroc hahaha
Brother, how are you recording the audio?
Good review buddy.
I wouldn’t know but I’ve been using a cheap modular helmet for a long time now and it works pretty good. I do have a scorpion Hx1 but I rarely use it. I can tell though it’s much quieter than the modular helmet.
Yeah I still haven’t done a video with the Scorpion lol 😂
Hahah fair enough. I’m not sure where my helmet addiction came from, could have bought another bike with that money
@@ChopperFett 🤣🤣🤣
Why are you comparing a full face to a modular????? And knocking one for both having the features of another??? I want the time I wasted watching this review back!!!
Boohoo I want the time back I wasted reading your comment.
The thumbnail clearly shows the comparison…. Why click on it then? Jog on!
Dear God No, No, No God No
