After the credits what are you suppose to do when you get to the point with the black screen as stars are shooting towards the foreground? Is it something important?
Humanity totally died, but it's a satisfying ending because Midgar never flourished or even grass, maybe Cloud and the others didn't see the result in life but it was worth it because they managed to heal the planet
Until the compilation it was open for interpretation. Earlier bugenhagen says holy might wipe humanity as well if planet finds them a threat. Of course after the compilation stuff released its no longer ambigious. I kinda liked the open ended ending back then.
Still the best game ever made.

After the credits, the game forced you to reset your console (on playstation1 ) or it closes the game automatically on PC.
So did the planet get saved or did everyone die in the end?
