The LS40, by any name, and in any form, is a great bike; simple and fun. Look forward to seeing the finished version, here!

When ya get a dent like that, you need to lightly remove the stress around the edges while pushing from inside (or behind, on a car panel.) Done lots of 'em. The Suzuki LS40 (formerly called "Savage," changed the name to "Boulevard" cuz it wasn't very savage) now has some aftermarket support -- badly-needed hotter cams, etc. Loved mine, but when I owned one there were no aftermarket goodies for it. I trashed the damn vacuum carbs and went with a Mikuni flat-slide, and a less-restrictive muffler. Hey, lookin' good so far!

A lot of people asking why am I switching frames? This bike was purchased at an auction as a parts bike and could not be registered, so we are putting all parts on another frame that has a title, with same year, make and model.

Great swap..Its yours so my opiniin is just that..my opinion.doesnt mean shit.lolAnyway the all black looks cool but I had to have a few things break up the total black..Volar Gold Chain and atleast wrap or spray the tank and rear bobbed fender a dark Cranberry type metallic.not sure if u removed the front fender...havent seen it all yet..Just a few small things with colour REALLY stand out aggressively!! Nice bike to build for a friend though!! Cheers!
