Forgive me, I’m sorry to find this beautiful video only today, after 1 year from your realise. All my respect for this amazing idea, and all thee passion that you put on your work, I can feel it in every frame. I’m just and old Italian mechanic but I wish you accept all my respect and my congratulations for this bike. I wish my legs was strong enough to stand on her….as when I was younger
I know this video was published a year and a half ago, but I just have to say this was freaking incredible. I loved seeing how much you fabricated for the bike and I really like what you did with the brake lines. Awesome job!
LOL There is a second hand appliance store in town. He had a newly dropped off stove and I said if the oven part works I'll give them $50.... Bam! budget deal!
What a beautiful build. You've given me ideas and inspiration for what will be my first ever build. I have a 03 Yamaha Road star 1700. It's been stroked and bored by the previous owner. I plan on building a bobber out of it.
Yep, all budgets are relative. Where I saved money is I got the donor bike cheap and did all the work myself. I did spend some money on tools though, but I'm ok with that because I plan on building more. Thanks for watching!
If not, if you send your mailing address to my email, joebobsgarage@gmail.com and put "Stickers" in the subject I'll send you a couple for being a loyal watcher. Everybody needs stickers for their tool box!
Awesome video! You earned my sub. By the way, what was the bender you were using at the 6:35 minute mark and who sells them? Asking for a friend and totally not for me I swear. Cheers from Wisconsin.
It's ok if you are asking for yourself.. everybody needs a good bender! It's a 4 inch metal bender from Eastwood. www.eastwood.com/4-inch-metal-bender.html
Parabéns 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿dias e dias de filmagem,eu pirei no trabalho, pena que, aqui no Brasil, tudo é difícil 😔 lamentável mente. Abraços. Beautiful work!!!Crazy man!!! wow!!! The best!!!
I've seen 2 similar builds and I have to ask. The soft-tail lower frame: where so you get it from? And how do you know where to cut the existing frame for the alignment? Thanks!!🤘🤘
I got it from "TC Brothers" they sale hardtail kits for Sportsters, (not sure about other bikes) you pick it for your year of your bike. It comes with instructions on where to cut the frame... The instructions were good. I think the rear end was around $300... Thanks for watching!
Not sure it has a specific name. It's just a gas sight gauge. Here's where I got it... tcbros.com/collections/sportster-gas-tanks-fuel-accessories/products/tc-bros-diy-gas-tank-fuel-sight-gauge-kit
Absolutely insane my friend! that bike is an amazing piece of work! I'm getting into building more and more, and want to build a bobber like this. any tips or tricks maybe how and where to source a bike. Anything would be appreciated. Keep up my friend, can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Thanks for watching, When I look for donor bikes I pick mid 80s and 90s EVO sportsters because the are in the right price range. Too new to be "old Cool expensive" and too old to be "new Expensive".. not sure if that came out right. I guess they are just in the cheap "sweet spot". and I have found them on facebook market place and I have a trailer and will willing to travel a few hours away.. and when you find a deal, jump on it.. if it's a deal it will go quick... good luck with the hunt. I find the hunt to be a fun part.
I bought a 1980's EVO sportster, those are in the price sweet spot. Not anywhere near new but too new to be considered a classic. The investment into the tools I consider as an investment in future builds and all the work was done by me and not farmed out. Wait, balancing the tires I had done for me... without the tools, I think I'm in it for under 3K. Thanks for watching!
Yep, the clamp (not a hose clamp) seems a little sketchy, I'm going to weld on a tab on the bottom os the upper frame. My thought was that the caliper mount is connected to the axle and can not spin because of its location between the upper and lower frame and the original caliper mount location used the frame as a bump stop. Thanks for watching, comments that make me question what I am doing is a good thing.
I aways justify buying tools for a job, because the next time it is needed, you don't have to buy it, so the cost of each build goes down. It cuts down on the guilt involved by spending the money (at least thats what I tell my wife😁)
@@JoeBobsGarageit’s also usually cheaper to buy the tool once that can be used forever than it is to pay a man that has the tool already to do it once and it only be done once.
I beg to differ I road my shovel head to California from Houston and back in the 80's. On my bobber ,before they wher hip it's one of the best rides of my life and by the way very comfortable!
Thanks, It's not a hard pick for me because Mid 80s EVOs are cheap and I'm a cheap bastard. They are in that sweet spot... not old enough to be cool and not new enough to be expensive.

Thanks, I'm just figuring it out as I'm going.
Powder coating at the house is some gangster shit, boss. 💪🏾🔥
Thanks.. yep I bought a used stove that only the oven worked, for $50... Other wise the wife would have been pissed if i did it in our house oven.
I loved how he used my moms oven to bake his powder coating. Awesome job
LOL There is a second hand appliance store in town. He had a newly dropped off stove and I said if the oven part works I'll give them $50.... Bam! budget deal!
@@JoeBobsGarage hey i know guy that uses toaster ovens to temper their knives so if it gets the job done why not.

What size rake
Stock... I was going to install a 3 degree cup kit, but have not installed it.
So wait..the only thing holding on the rear brake caliper is 2 hose clamps ..??

Eres un krac
I don't have any of the equipment so the quality of my build won't be anywhere near the quality of this bike.
