Dude! You really knocked this project out of the park. I love all the aesthetic choices you made (blinkers, headlight, taillights, mirrors, shorty exhaust, exhaust wrap, rear fender, license plate mount, etc...). You turned this ladies bike into a real badass looking machine, that any guy would be proud to be seen on. My sister bought one of these last week and it sounds awful stock. Your shorty exhaust looks amazing and sounds so mean (with or without the baffle) in a good way.
finally someone who makes a whole solid video about the build! that thing is a beauty and I absolutely LOVE the lights! Awesome job and quite some inspiration!
I have dead Chinese Suzuki copy in my garden. If your actually interested it’s a Lexmoto valiant. I was pondering what to do with it and I landed on bobber so I’m really glad I found these videos. You have done a nice job here and it sounds awesome.
haha Fantastic,....soon as I saw the build and migging in flip-flops, no visor, ya knew this guy was focused and the build shows it...FANTASTIC,.. looks great!!
Crazy man, you put up high the savage name with this build. At first i was like, oh no don't ruin a perfect bike. But your "less is more" mentality really transformed this bike to a better version of it. You rock sir!
This is awesome, never even heard of these bikes until last week one was given to me free. (2007) going to build a bobber for my wife to learn on. This thing is sick looking!
Your S40 build looks great miles better than stock. Like your chopped off back end. Your m/c helmets fantastic pity it's not legal in the UK. Great video.
Yaaaa. I’m going to build my s40 into a bobber over the fall I think. Just change out the handle bars and mirrors. Seat, back fender, shocks, and new tires etc. This is easy to do and I’m gnna keep my little Suzuki for over another year until I get my M license and then I’ll sell it for what I bought it for or probably more tbh. I just had a light accident with it last Saturday in a rainstorm and my back tire locked coming to a stop sign....tried to catch it and I did but then it went the other way and I couldn’t control it anymore....almost broke my foot and hurt my leg and arm but the bike is fine. Broke the mirror clean off where the brake fluid reservoir is...tail light, and bent the hell out of the brake lever but I fixed all the but the mirror. Tiny dent in the gas tank but I’m hst gnna strip the paint, push the dent out and paint it a nice deep gray colour - turn it into a Bobber for next season. This one is tastefully done. Similar to what I have in mind. It’s not hard to do at all.
Man I wanted a Savage back in the day. I got over it - until now! Will you build me a bobber if I supply the Savage? Just really fun to watch a man work in his garage!
My project is moving along thanks for all your help. Question did you tap holes for your front seat bracket. And did you just use the frame holes for the rear of the seat?
Hello Vlad. Amazing job! Rear shock absorber do you paint or buy a news? If you paint is dificcult? Sorry if muy english is bad. Tky from uruguay south america
Don't know if you're still active on this video, but I was wondering about the rear blinkers. I have the same bike and blinkers, but I can't seem to make them stay on as running lights. Are the ones you used light bulbs or LEDs? Mine are LEDs and I believe the wires are attached correctly, but once I attach the wire for the blinker, the running lights turn off. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Originally the turn signals are separate from tail light but now you are trying to put turn signals, running light and brake light in one bulb, in order for it to work I used tail light converter m.autozone.com/trailer-wiring-and-electrical/tail-light-converter/curt-tail-light-converter/750288_0_0?location= hope that helps.
Amazing build, lots of inspiration for my Suzuki Ls650 i bought mine rebuild as a bobber (Ryca Motors bobber kit). Im happy with it but wants to change a few things here and there, and thanks to you i have so many new ideas now! Fantastic build and video man.
Did you keep the frame stock?! Also, would you be able to provide links on where you got the turning signals, headlights, etc...?! Would love to build something similar!
Very good job! My congratulations, of all the videos I've seen on bobbers from afar yours was the best, most faithful and complete. The only thing I would add would be the colors, I think it worked harder with black which ended up hiding the details of your project. Maybe if you had worked for example: with a black face on the side of the fuel tank and the bumper and in the center of it would put a shiny black with silver edges, would be perfect. But other than that, your project is perfect! Congratulations!!!!
This built looks awesome. Great job you did on it mate. Do you have a link where i can find the blinker/tail lights you used on the fork ? Greatings from belgium dude
Hello my friend , i have also a Suzuki Savage 650 and i am from Germany. Youre bike look so good . Can You tell me where do you buy your Hi/ Low headlight. Thank you and have a nice time with youre Bike .
Hope ya re-jetted the carb, to take into account the more free-breathing muffler. I neglected to do that one mine, wound up with a crack in the case which allowed all the oil to mist out; result: end of bike.
first off great build . I also have a savage bobber build and im looking to add a muffler right now it is straight pipe. what muffler did you use? Do you have a link?
I removed stock muffler, welded a 1.5" diameter by 8" long piece of pipe to the stock pipe, inserted a silencer in it, then i took a cars exhaust and cut out a piece of pipe from it that's 3.5" in diameter and installed it over the 1.5"pipe that I welded with a silencer, so now i have 1.5" pipe that has a silencer in it inside of 3.5" pipe
i also have a project i been working on, can you please tell me what tires are you using? wasn't sure if i could fit a 150 there but now that i see how good it looks definitely going that route!
Thank you, do i need more to get it to work? flashrate relay...? (i'm bulding my own s40 bobber, and i'm gratefull that you'll answer my questions - i'll grab pointers where ever i can)
it will work but it will blink fast, just replace your original turn signal relay with led turn signal relay located somewhere under the tank and it will blink normal
Amazing build my friend. Would you be open to making this exhaust upon request? I’m looking to purchase a s40 & your exhaust is hands down the best sounding in existence. Extremely interested!
Awesome bike bro. For once someone has done a build video on an S40 from start to finish . Did you use the same color black on the whole bike or did you use different shades? Also did you use any clear coat or just a satin finish all over?

Talented and modest. The bike is gorgeous 😀

Awesome build, you have given me inspiration to mod my s40. The only thing I would change is to a dark brown seat, would really set it off.

Man I wanted a Savage back in the day. I got over it - until now! Will you build me a bobber if I supply the Savage? Just really fun to watch a man work in his garage!

Die Blinker vorne sind einfach Genial. Top Bike. Gratuliere.
Beautiful work my friend... It looks amazing.
My project is moving along thanks for all your help. Question did you tap holes for your front seat bracket. And did you just use the frame holes for the rear of the seat?
incredible tranformation i love te job you do with the turns signals on front
great job man
Gabriel Cabañas yeah it's a pretty nice
can something like this cruze the highway? what is the average total cost to do this to an older style bike? I mean, if you do your own labor.
Amazing bike!!! Where did you purchase the headlights? Thank you
Ebay

Hello Vlad. Amazing job! Rear shock absorber do you paint or buy a news? If you paint is dificcult? Sorry if muy english is bad. Tky from uruguay south america
would there be anyway to have a bolt on passenger seat when you need it? cool build man, thanks

Also make sure your blinkers have 3 wires not 2.
That helps a ton. Thank you so much for the reply. Hope all is well.
Hey Vlad is the head light base the original and you just used a 7 in pop in and what side license plate holder did you use?
I believe it was 5 3/4 inch insert with original housing, i put a plate on the right side
Amazing build, lots of inspiration for my Suzuki Ls650 i bought mine rebuild as a bobber (Ryca Motors bobber kit). Im happy with it but wants to change a few things here and there, and thanks to you i have so many new ideas now! Fantastic build and video man.
This is an amazing looking S40!!! Let me know if you ever come to FL. Would love to ride alongside ya!
That is one badass bike. You do amazing work my friend.
Excellent build
Can you give more information on the rear tire, I can't find the tube for 150/80-15
Just use the original tube
@@Mrgoodnewsman thank you.
Awesome work!! You have talent building bikes
did you have any issues with the wires and cables with that handlebar?
I think cables were just long enough, I don't remember having issues
@@Mrgoodnewsman thank you
So did you have to get longer cables and lines to modify to z bars?
I think original ones were just long enough
Way to make it look so easy, nice job man!
Where did you find that headlight and front turn signals? awesome!
eBay
Really nice video you did (Y) Thank's! Wonder how you mounted the rearfender in the front, did you bolt it in the frame?
i bolted it to the swingarm
i thought it looked great before the transformation but holy smokes. Perfect, what a great looking bike.
Did you keep the frame stock?!
Also, would you be able to provide links on where you got the turning signals, headlights, etc...?! Would love to build something similar!

She is absolutely gorgeous I really like the black on black look
esta hernoza loco. donde aprendiste a hacer todo eso
Hope ya re-jetted the carb, to take into account the more free-breathing muffler. I neglected to do that one mine, wound up with a crack in the case which allowed all the oil to mist out; result: end of bike.
Vlad! Well done! I have an S40 I'm going to bob out as well. Can I ask what rear tire you put on?
I put shinko 150 80 15
Thanks for responding! Can I ask what paint you used on the engine and the other parts?
first off great build . I also have a savage bobber build and im looking to add a muffler right now it is straight pipe. what muffler did you use? Do you have a link?
I made my own muffler its in this video, basically i just put a silencer into a straight pipe to make it quieter
Vlad Znovets you used the stock muffler and put a silencer in it?
I removed stock muffler, welded a 1.5" diameter by 8" long piece of pipe to the stock pipe, inserted a silencer in it, then i took a cars exhaust and cut out a piece of pipe from it that's 3.5" in diameter and installed it over the 1.5"pipe that I welded with a silencer, so now i have 1.5" pipe that has a silencer in it inside of 3.5" pipe

it will work but it will blink fast, just replace your original turn signal relay with led turn signal relay located somewhere under the tank and it will blink normal
Where did you get the bars, seat and rear fender.

With the risers and the bars did you have to use longer cables or just use stock
tenho que comentar, a melhor bobber que vi, parabéns.
Looks great 👍. Simple clean look
consider making a vinyl wrap man ...like the one I have done to my dirt bike in the profile pic..camouflage wrap will look great on your ride.
Awesome job man, just wonder how did you paint the chrome? Could you do a video on that pls. Great work!!!!

i used original frame from exact same bike, i had to replace it because of title issues thanks
Vlad Znovets oh so that was just a different frame same bike tho? wow that helps me alot all thanks so much I've watched these videos like 5 times now
Awesome bike bro. For once someone has done a build video on an S40 from start to finish . Did you use the same color black on the whole bike or did you use different shades? Also did you use any clear coat or just a satin finish all over?
I used one stage satin all over except the engine and pipe, i used heat resistant paint, it turned out to be little less glossy then satin.
what kind of paint did you use on the motor
engine paint from O'Reillys
Good job friend! Savage is a joy to ride. Too good taste
