Trunks and Vegeta were both killed by villains that took away their families, their homes, and their hope, and in the same exact manner: death beam through the chest. And resurrected in the same manner with the same conditions ("Bring everyone killed by X back to life"). Like father, like son.
TFS makes you realize how good, absurd and comical the Z series really was. The way the events play out with characters personalities exaggerated (especially with Trunks involved) makes you see that the mindset of these characters. Even if it’s for shits and giggles they understood the assignment and if you ask me…. Brought the series back from a long hiatus.
Going to have go agree. This series kept the core dbz fans intrigued and engaged. They really held it down because for a while in like 2015-2016 (when I found this series) I thought dbz was dying.

The "Does Gohan know" line was a lie. Trunks literally could not have saved Gohan. Cell knew that and was lying to trigger Trunks' PTSD and Survivor's Guilt.
Cell lied once and it gave him a vegeta to the stomach. "Were you trying to drink me?" "No..." *tail wiggles* "Yes." *Vegeta hits him in the stomach* "You feel that? That's what honesty feels like."
DBZ is like food you don't realise how important it is until its gone. It's definitely been about half a year since I saw it, and it's just as beautiful.
It's not just the middle finger moment that makes it great, it's Vegeta's smile when Trunk flips him back. Goes back to the 'pride in someone else' line. He grew to respect him.

Trunks and Vegeta were both killed by villains that took away their families, their homes, and their hope, and in the same exact manner: death beam through the chest. And resurrected in the same manner with the same conditions ("Bring everyone killed by X back to life").

TFS makes you realize how good, absurd and comical the Z series really was. The way the events play out with characters personalities exaggerated (especially with Trunks involved) makes you see that the mindset of these characters. Even if it’s for shits and giggles they understood the assignment and if you ask me…. Brought the series back from a long hiatus.

I'm not saying it's only fighting, I'm saying that if DBZ was 3/4th fighting and rest humor, DBZA was 5/6 humor and rest action. So there's really no use in comparing the two, they can be considered to different genres tbh
