I like to think that specific type of Saiyan (with the tails) have a much harder time getting to the deepest part of their emotions. When bred with humans or stayed the same like in universe 6, they have a much easier time with the transformation. Their monkee genes get in the way of their transformation. Not in any way canon, but it's believable enough for me to get past those discrepancies.
Different universe but yeah, devoted dedication was the goal to transform to the next level. Think Goku has unlimited energy when he was dead to turn SS3

DBS without Bruce Faulkner is like DBZ Kai. Just not as epic and more cartoonish rather than anime. This transformation and Goku's 1st transformation gave chills because of the music score by Faulkner
Vegeta's ruthlessness is what makes him the perfect counterpart to Goku. If they spent less time talking in the DBZ series and more time tearing enemies apart, this would have been much wilder.

DBZ could become such a good movie. If they can take inspiration from the superman films, regarding the flashy realistic fighting and a dark atmosphere,.instead of a cartoonish one. Movie would be a hit.
Dr Gero letting Goku be taken is one of the wildest things in a dbz. He plotted for over a decade and turned himself into an android (somehow) for the singular purpose of killing Goku.😅 They could have easily written in that Vegeta stopped them from pursuing in stead of that "pose no threat" bs
before rose blue and white hair. The OG transformation that took the powerlevel to the edge of human imagination. In Super they're so strong, you can't even really grasp it lmao. Also i liked the spaghetti western like athmorsphere during this ark especially.
