I've got this guitar interface, and I've been using it for quite some time. And I love every minute of it. It gave me the opportunity to try simulations from amps, which are way out of my budget(JCM 900, SLO 100).
It comes with every hardware you buy from IK. You have a basic version, with almost all you need, like Delay, Compressor, Chorus, Flanger, Distortion, Wah, etc... I bought a second hand HD 2, then bought a second hand BlueBoard, then, bought 2 second hand EV-5 from Roland (bought one yesterday for $30 CDN at a pawn shop; like new), 1 for volume and the other for expression (assign to the Wah). Around $200 setup, but useful as a $500 multi effect. 5 stomp effects would've cost more than that $500. I can plug it in the amp, or play with headphones. It's a very useful little thing. And can carry all my rig in a pack sac, except for the amp.
Hi regards from India I'm looking iRig for my iPad for live singing and Recording vocals and instruments Could you please suggest which iRig will be the best to buy.
Hey I just ordered this online after saving up for months and I’ve been wondering can I use the app Tonebridge on my IPhone XR to use pedals through the Irig? Thanks:)
I have an Amp that sits at my practice room. If i buy this device and a set of headphones will i be-able to use the device, My Phone, the headphones and my guitar to play and record ideas. So what i need to know is will i need my guitar amplifier ?
Just got a free amp sim (Black Sun) and need a low cost interface (don't want to spend much in case I don't like it...my first time with a guitar computer amp). Wife works at home so I need to keep volume to a minimum so this is worth a try. Will this work with a Windows 10 PC? Also, will my Yamaha drums (1/4 in jack like guitar0 work with Irig2? Thanks! Great video!
None of the videos or retailers seem to explain how the iRig connects to iPhones that don’t have 1/4” Jack outputs. It just says it is compatible. How? Does it have a lightning port? And can I connect Bluetooth headphones?
I have a guitar, amp, irig 2 and iPad. I want to play my guitar with the effects through my amp but I cannot get any sound of my guitar through the amp. What can I do?
iRig 2 is the second generation of the original iRig guitar interface. It also accepts line-level input so you could send any mono/single line level source into it as well. For compatibility with devices other than iOS devices, please check the full specs at www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irig2/index.php?p=specs and note it will work with some Mac computers too.
Which irig model should I get if I want to make UA-cam video on Android phone? I want to connect a keyboard to my Android phone and record a video with the audio from the keyboard.

You can plug headphones into iRig 2. When an audio interface (any, not just ours) is plugged into an iOS device, iOS will no longer route the audio through the device speakers. This is an iOS limitation not the interface/irig. Please find more information in this FAQ www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/?id=1284
I am using my iPhone's camera to record me doing Drum Covers but I want to bring in a clean audio feed of the music and the sounds from my drum module into the iPhone. I have everything hooked up to the iRig HD2 and it doesn't work. Its not allowing any sound to get into the iPhone. What I hear when I play back my video is me hitting the pads and no music and certainly no drum sounds. My goal was to do some Facebook, Instagram or Tik Tok live streams and have a good clean sound coming from my drums into my iPhone 8 Plus using iOS 14.4. I was trying to eliminate making videos with another camera and then syncing the audio in post production but I don't know any other way to make this work for streaming. Thoughts?
Hi, please note that iRig HD 2 is a single-input/mono adapter that is primarily used for guitar input but also accepts line input. You'll only get one side of your drum output unless you use a multichannel interface like our iRig Pro Duo I/O or similar. With iRig HD 2, please make sure you are sending only one channel (usually the left is the mono output on many drum modules) and that it is line level. Another thing to note is that not all social apps accept digital audio interface input for audio streams. But iRig HD 2 should definitely work with streaming/social apps that support digital audio interfaces
iRig HD 2 does not drain your iPhone battery, but if you need to keep your device charged, you can use iRig PowerBridge with iRig HD 2. www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigpowerbridge
That's what I use right now, because my old Peavey Pro Fex II died because of the battery leaked (scraped the board). And it works for me without any flaw, but you'll have to work just a little to find the best setup for your needs. Btw, if you can find a non registered second hand one, you'll pay less and have access to IK basic softwares (which are way enough for my needs).

Definitely a device issue. Your phone is struggling to run amplitube or whatever app you’re using. Not all apps are created equally. An iPhone 6 may struggle with certain apps when newer phones will never. Used to sell and repair phones...
On my modeling amp it’s not working, only have the sounds on headphones....on my amp it’s the clean from the modeling settings! Are there any solutions?
Beau Jenks hey I am wondering on the output to the phone. Since it uses a lighting cable to the charging port of the phone, does it by any chance recharge the phone or would I have to cut short the show when my phone battery goes low? I am debating if to buy Irig 2 HD, irig 2 or the Irig 2 Streamer
Yes, an app like AmpliTube for iOS is required for the iRig HD 2 to operate properly. On Mac/PC some kind of DAW or audio software will also be required.
The iRig HD 2 features a mono input designed for guitar or instrument input. While an electric drumset can physically be hooked up and will work okay, the best solution for a stereo sound would be iRig Pro Duo I/O or iRig Stream. Read more at the following links. www.ikmultimedia.com/irigproduoio www.ikmultimedia.com/irigstream
My IRIG HD2 doesnt work, it works when i connect it to the Laptop it shows the bright blue light that turns green when i play the guitar, but on Iphone both iphone 5 and 14 pro max it doesn't work. It simply glows blue dimly and never detects the guitar input. It will transfer the sound to the amp but the Phone can't find any guitar input.

When using iRig 2 or similar interface on a device that does not support Samsung Pro Audio, you will likely experience latency due to the Android OS audio latency issues. For low/no-latency on Android devices that do not support Samsung Pro Audio, you would want to look at iRig UA + AmpliTube UA: www.irigua.com
I’m a little late and I’m hoping anyone could get back to me with an answer but I’ve had this irig for quite some time now and it works great but there’s one big issue, the usb to lightning cable comepletely stopped working after only 2 months of having it. Does anyone know if I can buy and use an average lightning to micro usb as a replacement rather than purchasing the ik multimedia cable for a whopping 30$ just to probably have it fail on me within a couple of weeks once more. From the research I’ve done I am far from the only one experiencing this issue so if anybody who’s tried could confirm for me I’d rlly appreciate that🙏

If you mean iRig 2, you can use that with many Mac computers, yes. However that is an analog interface that plugs into the headphone combination input/output jack and will not provide as pristine and high-quality sound as iRig HD 2.
Interfaces that plug directly into the digital port of a device or the USB port on your computer will sound better than analog devices that plug into the headphone jack. You can compare the details of our interfaces, as there are other differences, at www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irighd2/index.php?pp=irig-hd2-range

Yes great sound, but my iPhone 6 battery was empty after 30 minutes. I still need this power bridge !?
iRig HD 2 and AmpliTube will not drain an iOS device in 30 minutes, but to charge your device while using iRig HD 2 yes you can use iRig PowerBridge www.ikmultimedia.com/irigpowerbridge/
Definitely a device issue. Your phone is struggling to run amplitube or whatever app you’re using. Not all apps are created equally. An iPhone 6 may struggle with certain apps when newer phones will never.
Used to sell and repair phones...
Can it be used on ipad 5th generation?
On my modeling amp it’s not working, only have the sounds on headphones....on my amp it’s the clean from the modeling settings! Are there any solutions?
Hi, please make sure you have the FX/THRU switch set to FX and not THRU.
ikmultimedia yes, that was the problem!! I fixed it actually!! Thanks!
Just ordered one!! Can I use this on Facebook livestream??? Please tell me you can ?? Thank you
Yes, I dj with one.
DJ RHINO what are you gonna be playing?
Noah Langrehr live DJ sessions
can i use irig 2. to my application amplitube ua? pls. reply
No, AmpliTube UA requires iRig UA.
ikmultimedia what application can i use for my htc phone? irig 2 can i use for my htc?
Do you still need an app if you'll use it with just a headphone?
Yes, an app like AmpliTube for iOS is required for the iRig HD 2 to operate properly. On Mac/PC some kind of DAW or audio software will also be required.
@@ikmultimedia thanks a lot for the info! Oh, what app will i use if i'm using android?
Do we also get the packs like mesa and orange on ios?
Those are not included in the main version of AmpliTube that is unlocked. They are available for purchase separately.
Ah i see. I wish they were included. Even without them its a very sweet deal. I was thinking about buying an another brand but hd2 settled it.
yigit arisoy Glad you like the deal, thanks for checking out iRig HD 2!
Does this work on devices without the lightning port, like iphone4s?
Hi, it does not - there is no 30-pin connector available for those devices.
The device uses micro USB right? So would a microUSB to 30pin adapter work, or is the device not compatible with the 4s.
I have checked with support and it appears that our micro-usb to 30-pin cable will work. You can find it at www.ikmultimedia.com/spareparts
kewlcweed Note, though, that while this will technically work it isn't a supported setup per the device specs.
Can you hook this up to electronic drum sets?
The iRig HD 2 features a mono input designed for guitar or instrument input. While an electric drumset can physically be hooked up and will work okay, the best solution for a stereo sound would be iRig Pro Duo I/O or iRig Stream. Read more at the following links. www.ikmultimedia.com/irigproduoio www.ikmultimedia.com/irigstream
Awesome
My IRIG HD2 doesnt work, it works when i connect it to the Laptop it shows the bright blue light that turns green when i play the guitar, but on Iphone both iphone 5 and 14 pro max it doesn't work. It simply glows blue dimly and never detects the guitar input. It will transfer the sound to the amp but the Phone can't find any guitar input.
Hi @zepyh3401, I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble. Our IK Support team can assist you via www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support - simply search the FAQ there and if you don't find the answer there will be a button to open a ticket directly to our helpful techs! Thank you.
@@ikmultimedia i’ve gotten a message saying someone created a ticket or something but they haven’t gotten back in 1-2 days now, i really was enjoying the product but it only lasted 1 day.
Can it be used with 9.7 inch iPad Pro?
BeanieBoy that's how I use it 👍👍
Nolan Drake cool
And with an Apple iPad - 9.7" / 32GB????
BeanieBoy yes
Absolutely
such greetings from Guatemala .. could you help me?
because when I connect my guitar to my irig 2 does not sound in real time?
what am I doing wrong?
the app I use is called AndRig for android.
Thank you...
From the research I’ve done I am far from the only one experiencing this issue so if anybody who’s tried could confirm for me I’d rlly appreciate that🙏
How much is this going for?
How do I use my legs if I am playing live on the IRig . My hands would be on the guitar. I mean change settings make a loop .
Hi, you can use iRig BlueBoard www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irigblueboard/
@@ikmultimedia thanks!
@@SuperKillbill66 I have a BlueBoard, and it's work. There is a 4 assignations max for foot switches, and 2 expression pedals connectors. You can choose what you want assign for each of these four switches. Thought that it was not enough, but, finally, found out that it's way enough for my needs.
whats the difference with irigh2? can i still use that one with a mac?
If you mean iRig 2, you can use that with many Mac computers, yes. However that is an analog interface that plugs into the headphone combination input/output jack and will not provide as pristine and high-quality sound as iRig HD 2.
so basically the only thing different about them is the sound quality?
Interfaces that plug directly into the digital port of a device or the USB port on your computer will sound better than analog devices that plug into the headphone jack. You can compare the details of our interfaces, as there are other differences, at www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irighd2/index.php?pp=irig-hd2-range
thanks
is this the latest version? will it work with an Iphone 4s?
This is the latest version of iRig HD yes. The list of compatible devices can be found at www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irighd2/index.php?pp=irig-hd2-specs
I really enjoyed singing from Ez Voice because I love singing.
And I will continue to be a female singer because I love singing.
The Audio In is mono or stereo?
It is made for guitar/bass primarily so the input is a single mono input. You can output stereo of course via headphones.
Anyone know how to remove the snap-on clip on the back?
Do that have irig hd 2 for microphone to android?
We do have microphones and interfaces for Android. Please visit www.ikmultimedia.com/android

Can I use it on 4 can cable method with my amp?
iRig HD 2 would work fine with FX loop on an amp.
Can you use the iPhone/iPad to use as the actual amp then use the iRig and do DI into the main PA/ sound system or mixing desk?
Yes, there is an amp simulator (you can choose from many) and a speaker simulator (like for the amps, you have some choice).
Hey guys, does anyone know how to convert the Mono AMP output at the top into a pair of stereo speakers? I want to listen to what im mixing while I DJ But its only coming out of 1 speaker. Im not using a mixer. Your help would be amazing thank you!
