OK so outside of having an issue with the hardware and it was replaced and fast I love this unit. I have recommended it to two friends who acutually purchased not one but two apiece to help when traveling . they both cannot believe this unit and the software.. if you like digital products and software this is it. I also record direct to my DAW with this. It is INSANE !!!

I‘m considering buying this but I have some question: is it possible to map one footswitch to the tap tempo? Is this maybe possible to do that with an external footswitch? This would be perfect.

The AmpliTube and other software that comes with iRig Stomp I/O is automatically registered to your account and is bundled with the hardware so it is not able to give it away.

I'm having sound issues with mine. Can you use an amp or powered computer speakers?
I'm a huge ToneX fan and I'm thinking about buying the irig stomp io for live use. Does ToneX integrate with Amplitube on iPad?
Is there a lag on the preset switching the light changed on the unit itself but the iPad changed like a half second later... if it can’t change on the fly with no lag then live use is not an option.
You should not experience lag with preset switching. If you do please contact IK Support and they will assist you.
Tyler Durden damn man sorry to hear that, this was exactly my worry and as you can see they already replied to me but the proof is in the pudding. I had a very similar problem with gen 1 of the fender mustang and it ruins live playing. Thanks for replying I was still thinking about this as I already have some purchases on my phone that I do for small recording. I just thought if it’ll help the app sound better and you can actually use it in a live setting it would be almost perfect for me. I am now looking at the Mooer GE 200 since it is also about $300 and has impulse response if you’re interested there are plenty of demos and it looks like it can switch on the fly with no problems
How do you edit and create your own presets? Specifically when using with a desktop computer.

Should work just make sure to strip down Windows, no internet, no-AV, background bump, just use it for Amplitube and audio dedicated. Or buy an old surface pro touch, better.

Yes, AmpliTube 5 and iRig Stomp I/O will work with Microsoft Surface PCs as long as they meet the specs (available on our web site for each product). AmpliTube 5 has a live view.
This thing kicks my ass. Gitn it ASAP. And a Morley volume pedal.
Anyone having trouble using it as an audio interface with programs like Logic or Reason? When I use another interface, it works great. I can’t get any sound out of iRig except for when I’m using AmpliTube 4standalone. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What's the best way to use this with an amp? Right thru the front or thru the fx loop?
It depends on the sound you are going for. If you're mainly using stomp FX or rack FX that are time based, like delay or reverb, the FX loop of your amp would be ideal. When using dynamic FX, the front of the amp might be better. Do note however, both options can warranty some great sounds.
Can it run 2x inputs for vocal & acoustic guitar simultaneously?
No, the iRig Stomp I/O only has 1 combo jack input. If you want to run 2 tracks at once, you should get the iRig Pro DUO.

Can it be used instead of an amplifier head directly to a cabinet speaker?
No, for amp speaker cabinets you need the load from an amp. You should send the output(s) from iRig Stomp I/O to a full-range powered speaker, mixer, or PA system.

You would need to connect to an amp not directly to a speaker cabinet. You could connect to a full range powered speaker which would be optimal

@@donindri I would suggest experimenting to find out what you like best. I'd also suggest using an ABY pedal so you could run the output to either one or both at the same time.

@@ikmultimedia I'm running Ableton Live 9 on Windows 10 and want to use iRig Stomp I/O to control Ableton's functions (and functions within its VST) that respond to MIDI CC messages for things like spinning up virtual Leslie speakers, etc. which I'd normally assign to a MIDI keyboard controller button. So I can use Edit MIDI Map in Ableton to assign iRig Stomp I/O controls to these functions, yes?

In that case I would suggest going straight from the LEFT 1/4" output on the iRig Stomp I/O to the amplifier's head. Note that the 'Line-level' is louder or stronger than Hi-Z instrument level. This means when using an amp you should keep the volume low to start and turn it up as needed.

Can i use it with Analog effects?? For exemple with a cry baby wha wha???
Should be fine. The StompIO has Hi-Z input, so input FX into it should be fine. Sending the StompIO to FX just make sure to watch the output level. The StompIO sends out Line-Level signal which is a bit heavier than Hi-Z.
A related, quite complicated, question. I’ve been considering all sorts of options... I know, haven’t we all 🙄. Helix, Headrush, Mooer Ge 300 (maybe??) etc etc However I’m really keen to be able to record straight into iPad. I have already been doing that but it’s impossible to get the results I’m after.
I’m kind of resigned to the idea that I’ll need to use dedicated foot pedals such as the Drybell Vibe Machine or Neo Ventilator, and here’s where my question comes in. On this episode of The Pedal Show ua-cam.com/video/t0aXOKHp5L4/v-deo.html at 30:00 they get an amazing sound by coupling the Ventilator with an Xotic overdrive. Of course they have two cables going to two seperate amps.
Would it be possible to plug guitar into overdrive and then Ventilator, splitting the signal to stereo going into the irig Stomp Ext 1 (left channel, say) Ext 2 (right channel)? Would the signal remain stereo by the time it went through a single virtual amp on the iPad?
Hope that’s not too confusing. Any help appreciated.

How long is the included lightning cable? I’d like to use it with an iPad Pro, but I want the iPad on a stand nearby, not on the floor. Hopefully the cable is long enough to permit this. If not, does IK have any plans to sell a longer cable as an option (looks like it’s not a standard connection on the back of the Stomp I/O)? Would a standard Lightning cable extension work? Seems like a lot of people would prefer to have their iOS device more accessible than the floor.

Is this an interface and load box in one?
You don't need a load box, this is a controller with a built-in audio interface which also has balanced outputs (and headphone out).
You wouldn't typically plug the outputs into a speaker cabinet - they are not made for that. You would plug into a PA, mixer, full-range powered speaker(s), and similar.
can this work on an android tablet?

When used to play live, is it possible to bypass the iRig Stom I/O to have just the sound of my guitar and amplifier?
If you are not using iRig Stomp I/O as an audio interface, you can just use the MIDI control.

I’m an irig pro duo user, I just discovered that the pro duo can drive my 4x12 cab, can this do so as well (and how much power (how loud) will it give to it)

I had a problem with my amplitubeCS connceting with my new i rig stomp i/o .and iphone 7 plus..when i open apmlitube app it work just fine for a minute ..but after 2 or 3 minutes there’s a sparky noise from the speaker even after i use the noise filter the noise is still there...and its sounds diffrent than the noise without the noise filter off...and i uninstall the amplitube app and install new one but the noise is still there ...it gets so irritating and louder and louder than i had to close the app.....
