This is one of my favorite chapters in the New Testament. It so perfectly illustrates the Good News of Jesus Christ!

    thumb up !
    She said, “No one, Lord.”
and Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” NKJV
I believe that she LOOKED at the Lord with repentence in her eyes and hope in her heart.
When she called Him LORD - I believe that it was more than social respect or custom. I believe she was saying she accepted Him as her Lord.
That is why I believe He said - neither do I condemn you.
Once we repent there is no condemnation toward us from our Lord.

Yes! the Greek word used for Lord is Kupie , which is also used in Matthew 7:21 which says: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

Jesus was doing the “think” time on the Pharisees/Jews. Quiet, individual self-evaluation. They left after that, with the oldest one leaving 1st.
