I really enjoyed this compilation and have no doubt your customer will have been extremely pleased with the result. It's always the driver's side which gets the brunt of the wear and decay! I'm sure I know this coop when it was owned by a chap who used to park it in Stockbridge, Edinburgh back in the early 2000s, outside the school where I sometimes worked. I had a 16vt at the time and when we eventually coincided for a chat he told me about the Fiat Coupé forum which I've been a member of ever since.
Fantastic looking car. My particular favorite is the much more mundane Fiat 128. I drove one as a student, whilst working pt at a local garage. It sounded great, and felt so much lighter and nimble than the majority of cars around, at that time (early 70s).
You will never run out of work with all them rust buckets, I loved the alfasuds and the 131/132 when I was a teenager but they just rusted all away. I have had Volvo's and Audi's so in my live but fancy an alfa but don't want all that rust and expense on the plus side I get to watch your lovely videos
Fabulous work. Almost in factory condition. This little “coupe” and its 5 pots deserved this restoration. Watching this video, I thought this car would look better with a larger rim diameter... but that's just my opinion. Well done.
Super series Neil - enjoyed it as much as the first time !!! You should invest in some Strip and Clean discs. They are miles better at removing rust and old paint and unlike a wire wheel they don't polish the surface.
Great video!! Really enjoyed this, thank you 👍 your workshop is like alladins cave full off beautiful alfa and future videos it would be great to just talk through what cars you have In, the silver gtv looked beautiful with the autodelt rear Apron 😍 although the coupe was stunning when finish 😍😎
Compliments!!! A suggestion, May You please make a Buyer's Guide for Fiat Coupé, in a way You did it already in your other similar Alfa Romeo videos? I've looked at the internet, but not adequate ones. Yours are 👍 Thank U!
I remember pdi ing these when I was 17 years old , and was amazed by the power, I had I 1.3 nova at the time, lol 😆 but as a fiat alfa dealer I chose a 155 , as they did it for me, if u want a cheap gtv project get in touch 👏
Loved watching this series, great idea to post a full compilation 👍 Sadly my mint 20VT Plus is still in storage, unused since restoration a couple of years ago 😞
Love watching the fiat coupe videos, just bought myself one a couple months ago and it needs a bit of work, would love to bring it to you to see what you think of it 👍
Hi bud Loved the video Ive just bought one in sprint blue, lacquer peel all over most of the body work so il be doing a diy job 😬😂 What was the clutch like to change? Im a mechanic my self but ive heard the engine has to come out.. havent had chance to look underneath as yet Cheers Rhys
Great channel!! I'm an owner alfa gt v6 and fiat coupe 20v turbo LE, I have to change timer belt and water pump on coupe. I need to know P/N water pump with metal rotor. Could you help me? Thanks in advance.
Hello, enjoying your videos! I wonder if you can point me in the right direction? I need a new AC compressor for a 1996 Alfa 2.0 TS Spider. Do you know a source for those? I'm in US. TIA!
Am I presuming this is £5000 worth of work, or am I light, is it 10k ? Looks extensive Labour , parts, and paint, the longer I watch I cannot believe the work involved , and cannot understand how the economics work, surely the paint is best part 3-4.5k before the mechanicals ; what a mission !!! And about 2/3 hair cuts later
Closer to 10k...only paint is 3k i assume...and as you can see very much deserved because suspension had Titanic level of rust on it...horendous work and miracle to even find someone who would accept to work on that
Hi. Greetings from Macedonia. I’m interested to buy Grande Punto with automatic transmission. What do you think about that gearbox??? Plz nobody knows the right answer. Someone tell me 200k without problems, other tell me its a garbage of a gearbox. But my wife tells me that she loves it. But what she knows about cars and transmissions 😁😁???? Please if you have any experience, write me. Love your channel very much! I don’t miss a video 😁
These things are two a penny, so must be of sentimental value, colour is pretty 'orrible, so I would change the colour, maybe red or metallic. Not my choice for an Italian sports car would go Alfa instead.

1 hour 52 of work definitely needs a thumbs up.
You gotta love the design of something that looks like it's doing 100mph whilst standing still 😎

Best man in repairing alfas, thank you 🙏🙋
Wow this brings back memories of my old R reg 20vt. I would love to restore one, worried they've nearly all just too rotten nowadays
Another great video, spent years working at an Alfa dealer but have never worked or driven one of these.
Always fancied a turbo 20v, now I want one even more. Great job, loved the series.

@@ItaliaAutos okay mate, I'll give you a ring nearer the time 👌 all the best
Beautiful job 🇵🇹👍
1:43:20 handbrake cable goes below exhaust, not over it
Correct. Swapped over off camera.
I miss my sprint blue 20vt more than any other car I have sold. Tried to buy it back a few years after selling but it had been written off.
Ok I will buy one also. I am decided now
Gran bel lavoro complimenti, devi sapere che piano piano stanno aquisendo sempre maggiore valore le auto di questo tipo in Italia e non solo🍀⚪🔴🖐
Can you show how to bleed the cooling system please ?
Really nice video on the fiat , it came really nice out 🙂 thanks for it
I need to change my 20v coupe turbo (its smoking) do you have any videos?
Careful with the bonnet struts, thay may initially stay up however, the bonnet may fall on you without warning! Happened to me so that's how I know!
Hi bud
Loved the video

Easy enough to do.

Hi Neil, what paint did you use on the front badge?
Awesome job again Neil, what's happening with the Punto......???
Yep, I had to watch it all again. Any idea how this particular car is doing now? What about those last bits (headlamps, badges, door rubber finish)?
Not heard much more since. Hesitancey returned and thats all I know.
Excellent, remember in early 2000s, there were plenty of those around..they are becoming a bit like a hen's teeth lately.
This is the my99 versione, pretty rare!
Bravissimo!
@Italia Autos what are thoughts on the 159 2.2 petrol engine timing chain stretching is there anything you can do to stop this happening
Great video, Italia Autos 👍, what is the cost of this restoration?
Depends on what needs doing. if you looking for a quote id need to see the car in person. a respray is around £3000-3500 now
Hello, I need a shock absorber that supports the engine hood (passenger side, italian model car) where can I find this?
Ebay
Alternator looks alot easier to do than on a gtv twinspark!
Hello great Job 😉

Pot luck with them. I’m afraid, easy enough to fix.
@@ItaliaAutos
Sorry for my English, but you saying that i don’t have to be afraid to buy Grande Punto Evo with automatic transmission?
PS: sorry, but I don’t know what POT LUCK WITH THEM, Means 😅. And the second part means: it’s easy to fix it ifesomething happen??😅😅
@Jensen Hammond
Aaahaaaaa,😁, ok.
@Jensen Hammond
Aaahaaaaa,😁, ok.
Surly the cost of repair, if done properly, will outstrip the value of the car many times over
I have one Coupe in Russia
a restoration without taking out the engine.... weird
I'd call that a full restoration 👍
@@ItaliaAutos no 75%, do it proper when you want to do it. #experiencedguy

They used to be not now.
