Stoked to watch Mike and Elvis' Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo going head-on with the Ferrari 348. In this battle of the siblings, where everyone has the eye on the F348, could the Fiat Coupe upset the equation to its advantage? Hmmm...
I own a 20vt coupe. Even without the engine upgrades trust me its not far off the performance of a ferrari!
An 80's NA Ferrari to be exact.

@@Patilikas11 you didn't get my point. The main factor is NA vs forced induction. It is a 3.4L NA V8 vs a 2.0L turbocharged inline 5, which has almost the same amount of torque (available much sooner) in a ~180kg lighter car... yeah, so damn impressive, just whoa...
I had one of my 20v at 385hp and it absolutely destroyed my friend's 430 ahahah
Did the same in a 1999 Fiat punto gt. That Ferrari owner looked like he had seen a ghost xD

@@italianduded1161 hello, mechanic, coupe owner himself, picked it up weeks ago and had a first view. Does not look good at all. 😪 I told him he shall take his time, make a list of what is needed minimum to fix it for tüv and what is optional.

i wish Fiat would revisit this car and start its production again, of course after modernising the engine, electronics, interior and everything else but keep the looks of the car, i bet it would sell better than Tipo, Panda and 500
(also wish Punto was in production too, just modernise the mk.II design like how VW did with the golf)
Sadly nowadays they would probably make some kind of EV thing with it, or some funny hybrid three-cylinder one litre petrol engine.

The Fiat has 309hp... that's quite an upgrade from the standard 220hp and no surprise it beat the Ferrari when the boost kicked in.

The first gear and the ignition map for low revs aren't that good for drag racing.
Can you do this to my coupe my coupe is fast enough but I want it faster just puts stage 2 clutch from CG MOTORSPORT but I need a clutch master cylinder which I’m struggling to get hold of HELP!!!!!!
My dad had a fiat coupe 20v turbo years ago. I will eventually buy one myself when i have enough.

Modified larger turbo, intercooler spray kit, new timing belt, and a custom dyno tune mapping. It made 309 bhp on the dyno and 317 bhp in the dyno with spraying the intercooler with water.

Hi bro, I saw from the Comments page that you left many similar messages in my vids. Had the E93 before and the N54 is very tuneable (N55 easier to live with though). But my 20VT engine is probably easier to maintain and more economical compared to the N54, and the power delivery's good enough for my weekend thrills. Not looking into an E93 at the moment. Thanks though.

You can always modify a car to make it beat a more expensive but stock car in a straight line. It's fun to do but a little pointless when used to prove a point. Modify the 348 as well and it's not close. I've seen 348s kicking out closer to 700BHP when modified. Good luck keeping up with those, Fiat :D
Some coupes running 600 plus bhp too m8 , for a fraction of the cost

Yes same engine , or 2.4 block from fiat stilo with 20vt head
I think the 348 would obviously be faster off the line but the coupe would hold its own once rolling.

Staged video. A stock 348 has 300hp and can do 60 in the low fives and go on to 170 + mph. You can turn up the boost on the fiat coupe but there is no way you are beating that ferrari without at least 350bhp and a very beefy LSD. Same as most fwd turbo cars.
Not sure about that, stock these cars did 0-100 in 13.0 and 14.5 respectively in period road tests. Add nearly 50% more bhp to the fiat and it's obvious it's going to overturn that 1.5 sec deficit...
