    I heard a theory that one of the people in the cart at the beginning was praying to Akatosh, wanting him to come and saving him or something. And maybe Akatosh answered that prayer, but who did he send? His first son, Alduin. This enabled Alduin to pursue his hunger to eat the world, blah blah blah, and so the story continues.

    • @TrickyTrickyFox
      @TrickyTrickyFox 7 років тому +179

      So, lets sum it up:
      Akatosh worshiper runs off from Rorikstead and steals a horse, when he is ambushed. He prays - and Akatosh sends in Dragonborn, who just "happened to cross the border". But he gets captured. Lokir prays again. Akatosh summons Alduin and times everything perfectly for Lokir to be saved, but Lokir is trying to run away. Then Akatosh says "fuck it" and kills the guy with an arrow.
      Does this mean, that Akatosh - is an imperial soldier?

      That's scary you guys, Hadvar's horse was right in my face during one of my playthroughs, like a few inches from me while Hadvar and the commander were a little further back conversing with me. There needs to be a good theory about what's going on with that horse.

  • @ya_fbr
    @ya_fbr 7 років тому +251

    1st theory is almost right. Except, the guys didn’t get in a fight. They decided to run off together - maybe because they found out about the Daedra, maybe because Lokir was, in fact, a thief and the guards were looking for him all over the place.
    That’s actually more likely. Knowing Skyrim’s system (each realm has its own criminals), they might’ve travelled around the country the whole time, Lokir eventually being wanted in every part of Skyrim. So, they decided to go to a little town in the middle of nowhere with little to no guards.
    But that’s also why they are not living in the town exactly. Close enough to be able to get food and everything else they might need, but not close enough to get too aquatinted with the town’s folk and be noticed by 1-2 guards that are looking after the town. Lokir’s boyfriend (or fiancé, I suppose, from what we know) might have been the one, who was going into the city for the supplies and all, since he’s not a wanted criminal or anything and some of the town’s people or guards might know him as ‘that guy living in a little hut nearby with his partner that doesn’t really like going out much’. They might’ve even invented a little story about why Lokir doesn’t come out of the hut very often, or something like that.
    And the reason why they’re not living in the middle of some forest alone in a little hut, like some, is because it requires hunting skills or fishing skills in order to eat, and they’d have to go around gathering wood for fire, and lots of other shit. They’d also have to know the forest very well and know where the roads are, because there might be guard patrols there. And, this time, Lokir’s fiancé couldn’t be the only one, who goes out, because so much work requires both of them to do it.
    And, that’s why they could have pets and - like - a fundamental, real house for once, and even started planning a good, proper future, finally getting married and starting a family. But then, the guards started getting suspicious or maybe they started going around asking the town’s folk if they saw that wanted man (Lokir).
    They realized, they need to run away again and, this time, there is nowhere for them to go in Skyrim, so they need to cross the border, before it becomes a pressing issue for the whole country, since he’s wanted everywhere or before he finally simply gets caught, because - again - the news reached every little corner of Skyrim. So, Lokir said that he’ll steal a horse for them and come back for his future husband at night and they’ll run off to another country and start a new life there, finally get married, and Lokir maybe even promised to leave his thieving habits behind.
    So, Lokir’s fiancé obviously agreed and, looking forward to the new chapter in their story, where they start everything over, not on the run anymore, he even brought the ring. But then, days passed and he started losing hope. Thinking lots of things - maybe he got caught, maybe he died, maybe he left him. In couple of days, he bought the poison and then, maybe he just stopped waiting, maybe he really saw Lokir’s name in some list, maybe heard rumors about Helgen. And he completely lost it, feeding his pets for the last time, arranging that little ‘mourning place’ with candles and flowers and the ring and all. And then he committed suicide, because he couldn’t imagine his life without his lover.
    At least that’s how I see it.

    • @gwgoulinos
      @gwgoulinos 7 років тому +33

      Yeah this doesn't add up...but if you think about it ,maybe the Silver Hand broke away from the Companions because of the curse , that's why they hate the current Companions who act like beasts and disgrace Ysgramor...maybe that's also why they wanted the fragments of Wuuthrad so badly, I mean they must have pooled some resources to try and obtain them. So, it is possible that they split up because some chose the more beastly path, and the Silver Hand want to bring the Companions to their former glory, although this doesn't appear anywhere. Also, I think it's wrong to assume that they build all the strongholds we find them in. I mean, did bandits also build the Sundered Towers? No. So maybe they refurbished them a little, but ruins are still ruins.

    • @mentle_gen
      @mentle_gen 6 років тому +13

      It's an insult because you only see children drink milk, so they're basically calling you a child. But I believe the definition changes depending on your region. Modern Scottish insults that can be used for weak/coward are 'feartie' and 'jessie'.
      I've been playing Skyrim for only a year and I've realised there's a bit of Scottish influence. There's highland cattle, the weather is pure shite, one of the death hounds in Castle Volkihar is called CuSith (the Cù-Sìth is a death hound in Scottish folklore), some nords say 'aye, lad/lass' (used all over the UK and Ireland, but more common up north), and then there's Brynjolf; the only character who has a Scottish lilt to his voice. Obviously not a true accent, but it is his voice actor's attempt at one, as proven by Ack from HTTYD. But I'm glad Bethesda went this route since us Scots hardly get recognised for anything.

      Hmmm, in that case maybe the Silver Hand (which would be part of the Companions according to my theory) sent some of there people to Wrothgar since, it is bordering Skyrim, to scout out some locations they could source some silver, then took over said mine. But then people found out that they were stealing their silver so they told some werewolves that some werewolf hunters were hiding there so they could wipe them out and reclaim their mine.

    I just made theory, the dragonborn in the hall of valor is Miraak’s soul. when Miraak went to apocropha his soul was forced to soverngarde. When Miraak gets back to Nirn he will rip his soul right out of sovergarde. The reason why his soul can sit on Shor’s throne is because he was also an incarnation of Shor. That also explains why Miraak is enslaving the all maker stones is so that he can open a second portal to soverngarde, one that skips Tsun and goes right into the hall of valor.
    edit: sorry about misspelling.

    Add-on to the calcium theory. Remember those Skelton’s on the dock area of Volkihar? The hooded one? The ones that would take maybe two to three arrows to take down? Those one are so strong because they were once vampires and they would suck the blood from other things getting their normal dose of calcium.

    Got a great theory
    Nuka-Cola was around since time began, and some monks found a way to make it with liquor. So they did, but then they realized it causes blackouts when the drink started expanding. But these blackouts, they took you places. Weird places. Some would even say, "Half the fun of Nukashine is that you never know what kind of crazy places it will take you!" So that's how you, the dragonborn, randomly ended up on a wagon to your execution.

      Milk drinker obviously means a child, but not because of mother's milk, but because children aren't allowed to drink alcohol (beer, mead, ale and stuff), so a milk drinker as an insult means a non mature person, not an infant.

    What if Edda's child never died?
    What if that child made it through childhood in the orphanage and grew up... and Grelod is now forcing them to work for her?
    After all, Constance Michel, Grelod's assistant, doesn't seem to have a home or anywhere to live of her own...
    In one of her lines of dialogue, Edda hates the city and says that she can't take it anymore. Yet she stays - maybe she feels tied to the place because her daughter is still here, being made to work for Grelod because she doesn't have anywhere else to go?
    Edda and Constance even look similar.

    I have one!!!!!! In Heimskrs House you can find a bottle of magicka, a very potent one at that. But, he does not have any links to magic, he doesn’t know any spells besides default ones, and specializes in two handed weapons. He also has a book on the gods, which I’m sure is a hint towards his worship of Talos, BUT in the book it says that the gods appreciate sacrifices to get what you want, particularly the Daedra. I’m sure he wouldn’t want his hands dirty, so what if he is paying a necromancer to commune with the Daedra and do sacrifices, rituals, offerings, etc to try and boost the Stormcloaks chances in the war. This is similar to Rorikstead with the theory of the land being so rich due to the worship of Daedra. However, there was a scrapped quest where a Daedric Prince ((i think it’s Boethia)) had you kill Elisif the fair, and then Erikur would become the new jarl. This is weird in itself, since it is the will of the gods, maybe that’s how the Daedric Prince is paying their dept to Heimskr. There is also a quote from the female guards of windhelm that says "It is whispered that one of the Daedric Princes himself is behind the murder of Elisif. It would seem even the nobility of Oblivion favors our cause." This is very interesting in itself, BUT if you kill elisif with console commands, the dialogue will still happen, as it wasn’t cut from the game, even though the actual quest was. Suspicious? 🤔🤔 I think so

    The guy that wants the stallion's potion in Markarth is actually part of a quest for Mara's love journey thing -- so he actually does have a romantic interest who i think IS the lady whose chambers are next to his.
    On another note I think the 'milk-drinker' comment is just calling someone a baby (because babies are notorious for drinking milk)
    One one last separate note... doesn't like... everyone know the companions? Jorvaskar is a famous mead hall, and actually if you talk to Vignar or Vilkas or one of the Companion leaders, they'll tell you that Whiterun was built AROUND Jorvaskar. So maybe the Silverhand consists of ex-Companions, but I think that they wouldn't need to be ex-companions to know where the companion base was. They are like the biggest guild in Skyrim -- bigger than the College of Winterhold and much much more public than the Theives Guild or the Dark Brotherhood. In fact, they take jobs all over Skyrim, and practically every smith in skyrim talks about the Skyforge.

      How? They are dressed like obvious bandits they would have walked in with their swords drawn since they couldnt hide them anywhere. Did they dress like normal people, walk in then hide behind a bush and change back into their fur armor? I dont think so pal

      Hunter Henderson probably not since they attack people on site, even innocents, Hell if you like them to nearby guards they will attack the guards. I did this when I was too low level, I just ran until I game across a small village with some guards and the guards killed them.

    lol ok for the first one with Edda and Grelod, Edda attacks Grelod because you gave her money so she's technically your "friend" (divines bless your heart blah blah) and when you attacked Grelod, Edda stepped in because yah it's skyrim everyone has a dagger

    Another thing that supports the silver hand theory is that sometimes I’ve seen them carrying skyforge steel weapons if not silver or normal.

    I admit, that kinda made me chuckle even though the entire video is supposed to be semi-serious.

    A little side note about the Milk Drinker. During the medieval period it was often safer to drink some alcoholic beverage than water or milk because of viruses and other things that weren't being filtered out.
