5: I ended up following hadvar but joining the imperials...no regrets 4: I wish there was a way to tell Camila the whole truth how both sven and Faendal on how they went cutthroat though 3: I just sided with the nords, its there house in the first place after all, and I don't like bandits, well savage bandits 2: spare barbas...and ask for the helmet 1: I sacrificed the executioner of solitude, my own reasons
@@Skyplayerdragon My plan was to join the imperials to get back at the stormcloaks for getting me arrested and to spite the imperials after they tried to execute me I joined the dark brotherhood and killed the emporer
I usually just sacrifice Sven or Fendal whoever I chose for that play through. I never marry Camilla. (Whore) I always marry Aela, Ysolda or that mining chick who can't walk to her parents.
Me: 5- I lost sight of both people by the time I got near the keeps because I was all confused in trying to find my way to the keep. The door I ended up going through had the Stormcloaks on the other side. Even after learning that you could join the imperials, I choose to stick with the Stormcloaks. No regrets. 4- I helped Faendal. No regrets. 3- I sided with the Reiklings (and knew that you could side with the nords). My only regret is that 3 hunters keep randomly appearing whenever I go to Solsteim 2- Spare Barbas for the masque. Obviously. 1- I plan to sacrifice Lydia
i know its kinda late. but for faendal/sven, im pretty sure you can. if you take the fake letter to the rival first. you'll get a fake letter from that rival. then you can pickpocket the original fake letter back. so now you have both fake letters to show camilla. don't quote me but i THINK that is actually a scripted ending to the quest. i think.
I choose Ralof even if I'm siding with the imperials. Halvor is like "Oop extra dude on the cart. Don't know if he committed a crime but here we are so die I guess."
I disagree. 1: Ralof has more depth and dialogue then Hadvar, and I prefer the Stormcloaks anyway. 2: Gorr is a way better follower the either of them. For one he is actually pleasant to hang around. 3: REMOVE SNOW SMERF! 4: FOR FUCKS SAKE MAN THE REWARD IS BETTER TO SAVE THE PUPPER! BUT YOU KILL HIM ANYWAY!?!?!?!?!?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU!!!!! 5: Lurgok is a murderous cannibal who never shuts up about Malacath. Sacrificing him to Boethiah felt like poetic justice to me.
I'm the exact opposite. 1. From a gameplay standpoint, it doesn't really matter whether you go with Hadvar or Ralof. I mostly just go with Hadvar becuase you can get some free Steel and Iron ingots from Alvor, in a roleplay standpoint, I've always sided with the Imperials. 2. I'd choose Faendal. He can provide as a really good follower in the beginning and give archery lessons. The other reason I choose him is referenced in the 5th decision. 3. I mostly side with the rieklings. They provide as really good followers in Solstheim when they just randomly pop up out of the ground and start fighting for you. 4. I don't have much a moral standpoint in this decision, but i always get the axe becuase its way better than the Masque. Volsung's mask is way better than the Masque anyway, plus Barbas gets annoying after your first playthrough. 5. I'd sacrifice Faendal. Hes good in the beginning but then you stop using him by the time you get to this quest. He has a low level cap anyway so, he really provides no use late in-game.
James Parker Actually, when I said "almost", I meant I never killed Barbas ever. I also prefer the Stormcloaks, but Hadvar gives me free ingots, which is very useful in the beginning.
I first went with Hadvar to get some stuff and earn Alvor's favor, and now i am joining the rebellion, i dont care what Ulfric did or is, i am a nord and i wont betray my people ill kill later😂
I'd say sorry, but now I can like poison people that are in my vicinity and turn into a legit shadow so I take it I won't be getting an invite to the funeral xD
I had a Woodsman character at one time, one of my favorite characters I’ve ever made in Skyrim. He was a strong Nord, with red hair and beard, lived out in the forests of the Rift with a massive battleaxe to cut down monsters and trees. Oh man, I had fun with him. To this day, I still haven’t decided whether or not to side with the Imperials or the Stormcloaks with him. All that aside, I remember doing that Clavicus Vile quest, and when the time came, in a fit of dark, envious greed, Redwood struck down Barbas for the Rueful Axe. He took it home to his cabin and hung it on the wall. But as he drifted off to sleep, the green glow of the axe began to bother him. It was bright in the darkness of his cabin, made him look sickly and demonic. When morning came, he took it with him into the woods to practice with. The axe was sharp and hefty, and when he swung it, the air hummed with the cut. But, it didn’t sit right in his hands. It was almost too perfect, and he could swear the magic of the blades made his hands tingle and he could feel the fur and leather of the axe handle trying to wrap around his hands. He passed the day, chopping trees and selling the wood to his friend at the nearby mill. He went back home, and again hung the axe on the wall as he went to bed. The glow didn’t affect him as badly as it had the night before. But his dreams were full of howling and barking, of dogs and wolves in the distance, and Redwood awoke with a start. It was still night. The blue glow of the moon met the green of the Rueful Axe, and the sickly feeling Redwood got when he looked at the blade had changed; he felt ashamed. He had cut down a friend for a blade he wasn’t even fit to wield. And so, to atone for his friend Barbas, and to rid the world of the evil of the axe, Redwood took it off the wall, went outside, and threw it into the river, where the axe would be carried out to sea by the currents. The Nord returned home, and replaced his old axe to its rightful place over his bed. That night, he slept soundly. And the howling never entered his dreams again.
Damn backstory hmmmm My Cat (I can't spell the race) his name was Paps he was the protector of Skyrim everyone thought since he was nice they would do everything for them so one day someone asked him through mail to kill a person he knew and he said no it turned out the person who sent it was another friend so he was faced with a choice to kill a friend or lose one... To this day the contract still open he is also lvl 102
That intro makes me think you've been watching old Whose Line is it Anyway episodes. "I once saw a man so strong he could bend a car- Wait a minute! Bend a car? Pat Benitar!"
My Name why am I “a sadistic whore” ? Don’t get me wrong, I sympathise, I do. I had to put my dog down a few months ago and it is far from a pleasant thing. But I didn’t go straight to UA-cam to tell everyone to try and get attention
I have officailly been subbed to this channel for a year. And, to be honest, you've come a long way in such a relatively short period of time. Somehow, you content hasn't become overly repetitive, which is a rarity these days. And your humor has evolved quite a bit. Good job, man. Also, funny enough, the first video I ever watch on this channel was Hardest Decisions in Skyrim... Do you have psychic abilities, or something...?
You are presented with two decisions.. >Sleep and be able to be a productive member of society in the coming morn. Or >OYFUM We all know the RIGHT choice, this one isnt even hard in the slightest.
The last choice of the Faendal VS Sven is the best one. In fact, I already killed both and married Camilla in one of my accounts. Best part is Lucan Valerius telling me that he’s glad because I took care of the thieves for the 1000th time in the wedding.
Hadvar and I developed a nice friendship during my first serious Skyrim playthrough. I felt that he was just following orders at the execution and genuinely felt bad for what would have happened to me. He became my bud throughout the Civil War questline.
My reactions to each option 5: Hard to choose. At my first playthrough, I went with Ralof, because I was slightly mad at the Imperials for trying to execute me and such. On later playthroughs, I went with Hadvar, because I thought "the Stormcloaks are outnumbered, the would never survive". I know that, in the end, it doesn't really matter, but I normally choose to see how the character I'm roleplaying would react. More confident characters go with Ralof for revenge and more cowardly characters go with Hadvar for better chances of surviving. 4: Since both idiots want you to lie about the other to Camilla, I decide to ignore both of them. First time I played the game, I went with Sven because he was the first I interacted with. Tho, if you're just looking for benefits, CHOOSE FAENDAL!!! HE BECOMES A FOLLOWER UNLIKE LAZY SVEN!!! 3: Uhh, I haven't explored the full Dragonborn DLC yet.... SKIPPING! I DON'T WANT TO SEE SPOILERS!!!!!! 2: Spare Barbas. Don't question, just spare Barbas. You can get the axe and the helmet with a glitch, but you MUST spare Barbas. Even if the bug is fixed (either by a mod, or because Bethesda decided to do something good with Skyrim), then the helmet is still better than the axe. It swings slower than a warhammer and is not that powerful. Although, I agree, the Rueful Axe looks way cooler than the Mask of Clavicus Vile... or just never complete the quest, Barbas is a good follower. Pretty thought for a dog... (I know he's technically a daedra, but it's still a dog) 1: I tend to ignore this quest, but when I REALLY want to get the armor, you can either send a weak follower, a follower you hate or just send a mercenary (like you mentioned, but you haven't done) Bonus: DAMN THAT CHICK IS HO-
THANK YOU. By Sithis, this was always so obvious for me. "Well. I hate Sven so I'm not helping you. Feandel, Sven's been done with. Oh by the way, touch this pillar for me and die because BOTH OF YOU ARE CHILDREN!"
I honestly took the quest then proceed to marry Carlotta then kill her brother when I noticed he was at the wedding and was curious about the "ebony blade" of the whispering lady
I lost a friend to depression yesterday, and nothing has seemed to be able to evoke even half a smile from me since... until I saw you uploaded a new video. And I was able to laugh a little which was a nice change. Thank you again, Graenolf.

After a couple of years he finally decided to leave the old farm and pursue his dreams to become a mage. Before he left he spoke the words of power OYFUM where he was then sent into godhood by Sheogorath. He was captured and sent to Hellen for stealing cheese for Sheogorath where he is attacked by Alduin Sorry if it's not that good I had to improvise
Yeah, I mean Faendal is higher leveled and can teach you archery (which you can learn for free if you have him as your current companion). Almost no contest there.
@@supersani21 Same but I do it to kill the racist after they called me "filthy orc" and "Skyrim is for nords- orc" needles to say ebony skin (magic skill) and beserker rage + werewolf did a number on them
In the Sven and Faendal case, I just picked Faendal just because of the sole reason that he teaches archery. So... Camilla, sorry for your marriage of negligence.
I killed Sven. Married camilla and went to riften. But I kept finding faendal in my house and suspected an affair. So I shot both of them with an arrow and hit them in my spare room.
There would be random gaurds in my house so I ended up killing her with an dragonbone sword and my bounty was about 10,000 when I killed every none essential- she shouldn't have had a gang bang in my house
I chose Faendal; he was an excellent follower in Bleak Falls Barrow, and he taught me archery (as he does). Then he died in a dragon attack. I felt like I should have been able to hold a funeral for him.
With number 1 you’re forgetting something, you can make Nazeem a follower. By either nodding the game or If you use vampire’s seduction on Nazeem and then feed on him, he becomes your thrall.
In my first play through, I sided with the Stormcloaks, and I was wondering why everybody hates Ulfric. On my second run, I decided to join the Imperials, just to see the other side of the quest line. Now I always side with the Imperials, because holy crap, I hate Ulfric.
@Nathaniel Shrock We're not even going to go into the fact that he probably shouldn't be allowed to run a bath, let alone a country, and is so single-minded that he can't see that the civil war was clearly engineered by the Thalmor. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they captured him with a cardboard box propped up on a stick and a piece of paper with "Talos worship" written on it in crayon as bait.
@Yandere Sama followers like to peace out at the worst times. I had vorstag as a follower and he just decided to stay outside when I went into a Fort to take down a group of vamps.
@Yandere Sama 😂😂😂😂 I was sneaking through a Fort and turned to look for my follower and I turned to have his face right in mine. Nearly had a heart attack(I was in first person cam so I couldn't see things behind me). I do like Lucian or Cicero as followers. They say funny stuff sometimes, like how Lucian is always dissing the Penitus Occulatus.
I like imperials cause they don't care what race u are stormcloaks are racist little dudes that only accept nords and nords are heartless bastards that kill anything that is not a nord
I accidentally chose the Imperial xD I didn’t know what was going on and then i went with the imperial dude ;-; I would’ve chosen the Stormcloak dude tbh
Late to the party, but I have to say that I love Barbas the dog! I always start that quest line early in the game and then just keep barbas as a perpetual follower/unkillable tank by never completing the quest. Best part is he can’t be killed and you can still have another follower at the same time.

I swear I only ever saw one.
5: I ended up following hadvar but joining the imperials...no regrets
4: I wish there was a way to tell Camila the whole truth how both sven and Faendal on how they went cutthroat though
3: I just sided with the nords, its there house in the first place after all, and I don't like bandits, well savage bandits
2: spare barbas...and ask for the helmet
1: I sacrificed the executioner of solitude, my own reasons
@@Skyplayerdragon My plan was to join the imperials to get back at the stormcloaks for getting me arrested and to spite the imperials after they tried to execute me I joined the dark brotherhood and killed the emporer
I usually just sacrifice Sven or Fendal whoever I chose for that play through. I never marry Camilla. (Whore) I always marry Aela, Ysolda or that mining chick who can't walk to her parents.
Me:
5- I lost sight of both people by the time I got near the keeps because I was all confused in trying to find my way to the keep.
My only regret is that 3 hunters keep randomly appearing whenever I go to Solsteim
2- Spare Barbas for the masque. Obviously.
1- I plan to sacrifice Lydia
i know its kinda late. but for faendal/sven, im pretty sure you can. if you take the fake letter to the rival first. you'll get a fake letter from that rival. then you can pickpocket the original fake letter back. so now you have both fake letters to show camilla.
don't quote me but i THINK that is actually a scripted ending to the quest. i think.
I sacrificed the mage lady from the college who turned you into a bunch of animals, pretty much right after that quest too.
Miss me with that Stormcloak racism lol
Also, Will not kill doggo.
Fuck imperials
@William Soto Yes, fuck them.

Faith Sizemore IMPERIAL!!!
William Soto don’t be rude
1: Ralof.
2: Neither. I avoid the quest like a plague and just recruit Gorr.
3: REMOVE SNOW SMERF
4: DOGO NEEDS PETS NOT AXES
5: Lurgok
You almost took all the bad decisions damn it.
He has a low level cap anyway so, he really provides no use late in-game.
jemmykanga23 Omg dude, I do exactly the same, except for Barbas, because cute doggo is cute.
James Parker Actually, when I said "almost", I meant I never killed Barbas ever. I also prefer the Stormcloaks, but Hadvar gives me free ingots, which is very useful in the beginning.

Too bad he’s a strong follower
But he's cool o.o
Ur crazy. His top 5 best followers in the game. I could never sacrifice marcurio considering he was always my main follower
Marcurio has a weird personality.
That was a great story.
Damn backstory hmmmm
My Cat (I can't spell the race) his name was Paps he was the protector of Skyrim everyone thought since he was nice they would do everything for them so one day someone asked him through mail to kill a person he knew and he said no it turned out the person who sent it was another friend so he was faced with a choice to kill a friend or lose one... James Wadland the answer is so obvious. Sleep can wait.
You didn’t mention choosing between Vilkas and Farkas, or choosing the Dawngaurd or Vampires. But despite that, I loved the video Graenolf lol. 😂😂

@@thatncrsoldieryoushot7047 my only question is how is your head back on you it blew up also sorry bout shooting you i just wanted to get all endings
My reactions to each option
5: Hard to choose.
(I know he's technically a daedra, but it's still a dog)
1: I tend to ignore this quest, but when I REALLY want to get the armor, you can either send a weak follower, a follower you hate or just send a mercenary (like you mentioned, but you haven't done)
Bonus: DAMN THAT CHICK IS HO-
The good boy must live

In the Sven and Faendal case, I just picked Faendal just because of the sole reason that he teaches archery. So... Camilla, sorry for your marriage of negligence.
Sven or Faendal, I choose Faendal, then I get my archery up, he dies, and I take Camilla for myself.
I killed Sven. Married camilla and went to riften. But I kept finding faendal in my house and suspected an affair. So I shot both of them with an arrow and hit them in my spare room.

I chose Faendal; he was an excellent follower in Bleak Falls Barrow, and he taught me archery (as he does).
