Solid editing , and sick quad
I love the colors of that YFZ!!!! So Sharp!!!!!!!
Hey! Sweet YFZ. I have the exact same color and year special edition. I just put a RP racing exhaust, RP racing intake, RP racing breather box, 38 motorsports AIS delete, speed sensor delete, and Vortex X10 fuel controller by tokyo mods! Try tune 5,6,6 map 6. It rips so hard! I found the tune in the YFZ forums other guys are running that had theirs dynoed. Have fun and drive safe! It also idles way better and starts easy everytime.
First mod is you need to replace your clutch before it blows up!
Chris borling makes a vortex cage which is solid. You can get them from him or Jimmy Bortz. That rubber mount job that comes with the vortex will end up ripping and not lasting.
Peak racing makes a good vortex mount that is stable and looks clean. Vortex and precision steering stabilizer were 2 things that were worth the money.
I'll have to look into both of those things next! I'd definitely like it mounted better than it is for sure
Map 7 on the YFZ... all day... ALL day!!
So the clutch issue with these is only for people running rear polymer sprocket guards and it it has to do with shock feedback being sent when hit hard on rocks. If your riding live trails or tracks no issues. If riding xc go to breath for you fix. Don't listen to all the forums you see online and people talking about it the majority of those people are just repeating what other people have said. If the issue is that crazy Yamaha would have fixed the issue on all their machines and recalled it if you call Yamaha they'll tell you.
I want to add the vortex but leave the stock exhaust just because its quiter.
You’re not supposed to see the 4th one all the way to the right on the vortex with your plastics on just your low, medium, and high
How mach tha vortex
Am not shure here, but not having your tip on the slip on...why is that. I feel like id woud affect somthing some were. Just got a 2024,just looking around for good tips on what to look for
Do you have to have a tune flashed on the vortex or will it be good for just plug and play and adjust dials as needed?
There's multiple tunes already on the Vortex, if you order from Jay he will recommend to you which tunes to try and see which one it runs best on
I’ve been on the hunt for one near me and it’s looking like to get one I’m going to be making a 2 hour drive one way at least
I struggled to find one close... this one was the closest to me and I had to drive 3.5 hrs one way to get it
@@Itsjustacoyotee I remember the days of walking into any Motorsport shop and seeing 5 400ex’s and 2 450r’s and 2 yfz450’s
@@JacksonOffroad25 i wish it was still like that
Nice video. Any idea what the 2 metal spacers are for that go between the frame and where the 2 bolts mount the rear grab bar onto the frame? One comes straight down, the other one is a L shaped. They are show on your video. I'm trying to figure out their function
I'm not sure, there was nothing mounted to them on mine, to be honest I didn't even notice them until now
@@Itsjustacoyotee just curious. I think they act as spacers but I had removed mine and put a aftermarket rear grab bar and had to remove them to make it fit. I'm going back to the stock one now and will probably just put them back on
I like your bike. Great color scheme. I've got the vortex aftermarket exhaust and intake. Big difference
@Jason Skanchy ohh interesting! That's good to know! I don't know what else they would be used for lol and thankyou! I'm pumped for my exhaust to show up, I'm getting impatient haha I can't wait to rip mine with the big 3, it's gonna be a beast
Yes you will love it. Keep up the great videos
@@jasonskanchy7113 thankyou! I'll try!
I put the vortex ecu on my new yfz i have a fmf full system and fuel customs intake I drove for twenty minutes it was great after that the rpm is very high for 10/15 minutes or until it cools down what can I do? its from the tps? Any help please!
I would definitely check your TPS voltage to make sure it's in spec
Hey man I hope to god you can help me out I have done all the same things to the same quad would you happen to know why I’m dumping massive amounts of oil out my overflow tube on breather box from the ais delete???
You must have something hooked up to the wrong spot, I would double check to make sure all the hoses are in the right spots!
You over filled the oil. Their is two drain plugs and you need to put 1.5 quarts of oil jn
I have jay from Illinois power sports doing my engine right now
He's the way to go!
@@Itsjustacoyotee I have a 2018 YFZ450rse and I live in Michigan I took it way over there just to do my motor when said an done will have big bore kit in it an he is putting on dyno can’t wait should have it done by April 1st so I can take it to the dunes opening day
I am picking mine up today from Illinois Powersports. I bought 2. One for each of my 450s. They are 30 minutes away from me. Going to Silver Lake opening day! Never been there before.
@@RTrevino16 if I get my motor done in time waiting for the head to come in then take quad to get motor put in an dyno but I’ll be up there opening day also with the quad or I’ll be in the truck I live in Michigan like two hrs from the dunes can wait
hello, I wanted to ask a question, I put a wide open exhaust on my raptor 700 and it kept dying a lot, do I have to change the module?
If you have a Vortex ecu try different maps to see where it runs best
@@Itsjustacoyotee Worse than that I don't have it, I live in Brazil and these things here for the raptor are very difficult to find and when you find them it's super expensive, I've been looking for them but I couldn't find them.
@@claudiovieira5442 then I'm honestly not sure
Is that normal if the pipe is glowing red ?
Yes it is lol
They run lean. Need to install a vortex or fuel commander to get the correct air fuel mixture
@Jason Skanchy I installed the Vortex and it still glowed red, I'm guessing the pipe isn't fully broke in yet, it's got less than 1 hour on the machine, I just did 3 heat cycles to break in the engine
It should mellow out. I had already done the big 3 prior to break in and didn't notice mine glowing red. I've also done the ais delete among other things that could have contributed to helping out
@Jason Skanchy I have the ais delete that will get done when I do my fuel customs intake, maybe that will help too lol I guess we will find out when I do it!
