Because the market competition in China is fierce and Chinese people also have very high requirements for food, even Western snack or fast food brands will launch more choices and have faster updates in China.

There is one food that is very popular in China (not a snack though) but it's actually native to the US, and most people don't know about it. They are the Louisiana Crawfish (or little lobster in China). Very popular food served in crawfish specialized restaurants. Usually you eat just that with no side dishes.

some of those are not really meant to be eaten alone. if you wanted to have one of those instant ramen bowls in your hotel room but wanted to add something extra, you could cut up that imitation crab meat and throw it in.

There are many meat snacks in China. You can try them. Various nuts are also good. In Shanghai, you can try nuts such as pecan-like walnuts (小胡桃).

The automatically generated English language on your video cannot appear in Chinese characters when selecting Auto Translate into Chinese. You may be using the wrong method or software when editing the video. It's a pity that many chinese missed this video because most Chinese people don't understand English.😮

The Germans will be very happy if they see you eat Knoppers. (Sorry, I am just obsessed with the country).
Something maybe unique to the country, maybe dried plum (make sure to just suck on it, don't chew because pits not removed); white rabbit candy, a candy from Shanghai (nothing special). Sunflower seeds/pumpkin seeds (nothing special because apparently people from the middle east also eat them while watching TV; frozen skin moon cake (I think it's in season now). beef jerky and pork jerky are also very delicious (don't take the mala flavour). Peeled walnut kernels (a delicacy, very expensive).

  • @fleischbananepferdeapfel3227

Knoppers is German not Chinese, because its so popular you can find them in China, like Oreo's and Lays.

Really guys? "MOST UNIQUE"??? Trying convenient store snacks in Shangai would have been sufficient. Because these were really not that unique and far from 'most'. Imitation crab meat is made from fish. You can see this if you look at the ingredients or look it up online.

In the western countries, there are not too many snacks, are mainly from big companies. There is no too many competitions. the snacks are never updated or changed for 10 or 20 years. In China, the company change the flavor and develop new products every year. Old products are get rid of it very soon.
