In fact, in China, high-speed rail seats are business seats, first-class seats and second-class seats. Among them, the most expensive is the business seat, which can have a completely flat seat, and a free meal is provided for long-distance travel. Secondly, KFC in China also has French fries. Finally, welcome to visit China. I know you from bilibili, and welcome you to China again👏
KFC in the UK also has fries, but the chicken tastes much better in China than UK. Things like popcorn chicken is made using chicken thigh meat in China compared to chicken breast in the UK which doesn't have much flavour.
Actually, you don't need to go to the dining car. You can order KFC or any other food by scanning the QR code on your seats' arm. And when the train arrived the next station, the food will be brought to your seat right away.😊

We unfortunately booked this through an agency a long time before we came to China. We now use trip.com which seems like the way to go. We booked it with the agency because we didn’t know if the tickets for first class would sell out and we thought they would send us the tickets earlier then trip.com (which you can only book 2 weeks out). I guess it’s nice for some people to have peace of mind and not worry about booking it but it’s more expensive and we didn’t get to choose our seat…still learning here in China!
We did visit the Forbidden city in our second video in China. We expect to come back to Beijing not too far in the future as we had limited time on this trip!
Y’all are the most elegant eaters (esp. Karolina). I appreciate you all sharing your meal with us without filming the actual contents in your mouth as you eat. Some other vloggers just don’t know how to film themselves eating.
Jolly good to have you in China! From this video, one can see you chaps arrived in Shanghai on the fourteenth of September. I reckon you've since popped off to other parts of the country. Do come back to Shanghai for another jolly, won't you? There are heaps more surprises waiting for you here. If you're still knocking about in China, you absolutely must have a go at one of those clever self-driving motors (like AITO, for instance). It'll be absolutely smashing, I dare say!
I personally don't see the point paying for 1st class or business on Chinese high speed rail. 2nd class is good enough and you get bigger seats and more legroom that you would ever get in a 1st class UK train seat. Buy your own snacks and drinks before boarding the train and a couple of instant noodle bowls and take advantage of the free hot water in every carriage. This is the true China experience.
We might break the bank next time and try business class but tbh it doesn't seem worth it or value for money. First class was already a bit too expensive in my opinion. Second class I agree is probably the best value for money! Our train was quite early in the morning so we didn't have time to get snacks and drinks - we could of got it the day before but that's no fun haha
I think of a question, China will soon start the National Day holiday, in two or three days there will be super super people out to travel, then everywhere is the flow of people😂
We booked it through a middle man website who booked it for us. Trip.com is definitely the best way to book train travel but you can only book two weeks before the trip. The middle man is more expensive and I don’t think it’s necessary but some people might want them to book it so they don’t forget and pay a small premium.
@@JayandKarolinaYes, the business class is more expensive, so you may try it when you take a short distance travel. That will be less expensive for a try. And you'll not regret to try the business class.

In China, if you need to travel on a high speed train, you either have to buy a second class seat or a business seat. The comfort level of the second class seat is not much different from the first class seat, but the price is much cheaper. And business seats can enjoy unparalleled service and riding experience. Business seats offer more snacks, disposable slippers, and if you ride at meal time, you will also be provided with food. Compared to the first class seats, the leather sofas in the business seats are as comfortable as a bed, and you can even get wrapped up in all directions.

Hello, I'd like to ask, do people in the UK have the habit of sharing food? I mean, like when you eat something delicious, for example, a couple takes a bite of an egg tart, and then feeds their partner a bite-something like feeding each other their own food.
I’m not sure if it’s a UK thing or a western thing but we do sometimes share our food in this way. It’s more about sharing the experience of eating something if you don’t both have it. My background is Indian so we have a sharing mentality when it comes to food so it’s normal to have this behaviour. However in the UK there is also an individual mindset where you order your own food and you just eat what you have - not really a sharing mentality in this regard. Hope this helps answer your question!
Actually, Dongchang Road is Off the city center. It is an area called Pudong New District East of the Pu River, where it was total farm land, including the shanghai tower the oriental pearl tower, some 30-40 years ago.

Very beautiful China from Pakistan
You should try business class, the chair can be unfolded and you can lie down. You also get some snacks and drinks included in the fare.
First class was $176 - I think business class must be like $300-400 maybe more 😳
There are many KFC restaurants in the train station. Try business class, it is even better with a sleeping seat.
