I live right up the road from the Best Stop. Good stuff! You can see why Louisiana has an obesity problem! The food is just too good! You have just started. There are so many places around here with good food. Lots of good cooks. Lots of men cook in Louisiana.
It's just that the food originally fed people that worked all day in the fields. They needed the energy. But we have shifted to more sedentary jobs, but still love the food that our grandparents cooked. We have to reduce the amounts or do a crazy amount of exercise to compensate
Always love your videos!! So glad to see you're in my neck of the woods (I'm from Lafayette area now living near Baton Rouge) and there is nothing like cajun food. I'm really surprised they didn't give you any boudin balls or eggrolls with the pepper jack cheese...adds even another layer of flavor. So many places, so little time in Louisiana. I hope you stick around for a while 😀

Let me tell you all. This place is legit. I have been stopping there faithfully since the mid-2000s whenever I drive to South Louisiana. I am shocked (and quite happy) to see him at this place.
We always have ordered from Best Stop and we just ordered another 40 pounds today. 40 pounds is the optimal amount to buy vs. shipping cost. We love this boudin.
Boudin is a near religious experience in Louisiana ... I'm from the NE but business brought me to Louisiana often to work with colleagues indigenous to the area. First time I had boudin was around 1984 which we bought at a gas station and I loved it. It didn't have natural casing so I learned the "toothpaste" method. Thereafter, I enjoyed it every time I returned. But to be at the actual factory ... man, that must have been the best!
My mom side of the family originates from New Iberia Louisiana and my great grandmother died back in 97. She went to go bury her and brought boudan back home and it was amazing, that was my first time having it. We live in L.A. it's not as popular out here but whenever I get my hands on it I'm never disappointed.
@@aelyles1 ....yes it is. I was born and raised in Louisiana as well as raised in Houston and Port Arthur, where they are everywhere. That was 40+ years ago. I remember a certain “sausage” where the skin were red and tough and were not meant to digest. Inside the juice /meat were red ( no rice ) as. I wish that I could remember the name of it😞. I now live in Cali/ New York where people has no idea what I’m talking about.
Blade and The Best Stop Supermarket were very hospitable to you, Ming and Micah, Mark! The boudin and pork crackling looked delicious! If I lived nearby the market, I think I would have to eat boudin every single day! Great video...love how you match the music to fit all of your videos! So enjoyable to watch! 😊😊😊
Boudin is a staple there, for sure. It's perfectly okay to eat two links of Boudin, chips, and a drink for lunch. Not only that, but even the gas station food is great there. All of them sell Boudin.

Don't forget he's so exaggerant.
He exaggerates more than a blonde pornstar
I am from Louisiana and these videos have made me so happy. I hope more tourists head down there but your camera lens fogging up is something I don’t miss about down there lmao that humidity and lens don’t mix at all.
I just notice Mark over 8 Mil subs! Congratulations! When I first discovered you, reached under 1 million.
This is awesome! Thank you for sharing your passion and love of foods with everyone, truly unite us all.
Stay well with you and your family.
That's some good eating Mark. Boudin is one of my favorite cajun foods and I love it. Proud to be a Louisiana native. Enjoyed the video
Which brand do you recommend?
@@starrstewart1359 I like the smoked version it's delicious
Man! Dude! You really touch deep on the heart if the cultures. And your presentation is always Oh WOW! My family is south from La Fourche and LaPlace. Love the cracklin's and my preference is the spicy boudin! Louisiana is like it's own country, and a place everyone ought to have the opportunity to experience! Thank you for this video, and sharing your travels for food and cultures! 🦞🦐 🍽️
Poches! Mark, it's all about Poches in Beau Bridge, a must try!
I love how Mark is so respectfully and doesn't want to disrespect anyone or any other cultures.
Mark is the world ambassador. When Aliens come to visit, I am nominating him to represent us.
Even after just eating, Mark, your videos make my mouth water and I could eat all over again!❤❤
I absolutely love all of your videos. Each one is unique. I cant think of any I did not enjoy. Favorites are from your trips to India, Pakistan and here where I live Queens NY 😀. Hope to see you back in NY SOON Mark and family 👌
Your enthusiasm is incredible and I love to watch you and your family eat!
One of our daughters lives in North Carolina. Now, I love my daughter, but stopping at Best Stop is about my favorite part of the trip. I always bring home an ice chest full of smoked boudin.
I'm always impressed by Mark's humility when people who are super oblivious to his UA-cam notoriety, and he answers their questiond like he doesn't have over 8 million subscribers🤗🤗🤗
Awesome video, I look daily to see if new video has dropped. When I get the notification that a new video is available, I have to stop everything and watch immediately. Thank you Mark Wiens for great wholesome videos and stay safe. You're my favorite to watch daily
Wow Mark that looks so incredible. Thank you for your unbelievable food shows. Your the best!
I want to have his metabolism, eat everything and never gain a pound 😁
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how he remains so slim🤔
His job is to travel the world, i bet he's on the run everyday
I live right up the road from the Best Stop. Good stuff! You can see why Louisiana has an obesity problem! The food is just too good! You have just started. There are so many places around here with good food. Lots of good cooks. Lots of men cook in Louisiana.
It's just that the food originally fed people that worked all day in the fields. They needed the energy. But we have shifted to more sedentary jobs, but still love the food that our grandparents cooked. We have to reduce the amounts or do a crazy amount of exercise to compensate
Omg! Workers stuffing with Lil Suzy’s - Take Me In Your Arms in the background (@4:56 & 6:15) the most classic and iconic Freestyle jam.
I hope you stick around for a while 😀
Yea I was waiting for him to bite in to that pepper jack cheese 😂 originally from breaux bridge in New Orleans now ✌🏻
I had just finished watching one of your Italy trips and this one was up next... I was already missing Louisana and after this I'm missing it more . Thank you for taking me with you and your family on your food journey ❤️
I'm eating sunflower seeds watchign your video and salivating haha :). Hi from Istanbul :) - where's the kebab when I need it haha :)

I'm eating Tikka Masala and McDonald's Coca cola
Hello Istanbul.. I was born in Karaburun
Why you eating sunflower seeds?
Come visit us in the US and try some sausage! I love kebab BTW and always wanted to go to Istanbul! :) ❤️
Dude, I love boudin. Great Job!
I love your show! Watched since the beginning.. Don't ever hold a sausage to your mouth like that again! Man law violatiom.😆😂🤣
BOO-DANH, no hard N at the end, I knew you would love my home state, so glad you finally made it, LOVING IT! Gotta get on some HogHead Cheese too, its right up your alley!!
They said that in the video.
An absolute must when out that way! So happy to see you at one of my all time favorite places for good food. Always have to have enough $ to stock the freezer till the next trip.. Must be heading into HTown and I can't wait for that. ❤
It's a great cooking video, I'm also a chef and love making cooking videos, you did a great job!
Why do these come in when I’m hungry😫.. Mark you’re doing an amazing job. Kudos
The new thumbnail is over the top, Mark. Are you trying to tell us something? 🤣🤣
It's a bit suggestive!
hahahahahhahahahahahhas
@The Nudge lmao
@The Nudge Sorry, no sausage party for me!
Naw fr🤣
Mark is such a humble person. More food videos to your vlogs, Mark. ❤️
How does this guy, stays slim? His show is amazing, makes you want to get into the screen and join in the meal 😅
Oh, I really want to taste the smoked boudin and the crackling! Looks so delicious!
Me too.
Now, I'm getting hungry for some spicy and smoked Boudin! Thanks for the video, Mark!
You’re videos make my day better
Haven't watched the video yet, but just needed to comment on the absolute quality of that thumbnail. Top notch.
I honestly get the biggest smile on my face whenever you upload, Mark!
I grew up eating boudin....especially the spicy kind...it’s a meal in itself and crazily delicious. Now days it’s almost impossible to find it.
It's everywhere here in Texas and Louisiana
@@aelyles1 ....yes it is. I was born and raised in Louisiana as well as raised in Houston and Port Arthur, where they are everywhere. That was 40+ years ago. I remember a certain “sausage” where the skin were red and tough and were not meant to digest. Inside the juice /meat were red ( no rice ) as. I wish that I could remember the name of it😞. I now live in Cali/ New York where people has no idea what I’m talking about.
Mark looking like a glizzy gobbling champ in the thumbnail 😂
Lmao 😂 I was looking for these comments
Blade and The Best Stop Supermarket were very hospitable to you, Ming and Micah, Mark! The boudin and pork crackling looked delicious! If I lived nearby the market, I think I would have to eat boudin every single day! Great video...love how you match the music to fit all of your videos! So enjoyable to watch! 😊😊😊
Boudin is a staple there, for sure. It's perfectly okay to eat two links of Boudin, chips, and a drink for lunch. Not only that, but even the gas station food is great there. All of them sell Boudin.
@@davehebert3403 will have to make a trip to Louisiana come Spring! Thanks! 😊
Pretty cool to see my culture of food on marks channel. Cracklings are such a delicacy where I’m from!
I swear, he always radiates positive vibes
I’ve always wanted to travel to USA. Sadly it’s not happening anytime soon but watching marks video is like travelling along with him. Thank you mark (:
