I really love the part where Mark asks the person serving him his name. Rashad. He knows that the people that serve up the food he eats have a name. They aren't nameless. It's this human touch that Mark brings to his food journeys that make him so special. Thank you Mark, Ying and Micah for taking us all on your food journeys across the world. And thank you city of New Orleans for showing us all your amazing food and hospitality.
Same here! You can see the young man's face light up when Mark asks him his name and starts to talk to him. It may not seem like a big thing, but it really is because something like that can really brighten up someone's day and really mean something to them. He treats everyone with so much genuine respect and kindness that it's really refreshing and heartwarming. At first it seems to be phony or like it's just for the camera, but after a while you realize he's not putting up an act...He's just that nice of a person. In a way (and I mean this in the best possible way!), he almost reminds of Mr. Rogers, in his calming personality, the respectful way he talks to people and the way he's curious and interested in everything.
So awesome. I love how Mark isn’t put off by styro containers and little packets of hot sauce. He appreciates the food and the context it lives in. Total class act.
I want to say thank you so much for representing the greatness that is Louisiana cuisine. It makes me very proud to be here and proud of you for giving us the opportunity to show you what the soul food is about
Mark is really dope, he's a real foodie and you can tell he's genuine. I love that about him, and his family is enjoyable to watch too! Thanks for sharing.
I just found Mark and have enjoyed him going around the world eating. He’s so excited everywhere he eats. Once and awhile he his a little disappointed but not often. He grabs your interest in facing the food he is preparing to eat. Very dynamic foodie.. Kudos to him for bringing this to us.
What I love about Mark's channel is if the food is good he is going to enjoy it no matter where he's at. It could be a little cart off the side of the road in Thailand, a hole in the hood of Los Angeles, a house in the middle of a neighborhood, a tiny spot in the middle of an alley or a fancy restaurant in a upscale city lol. He's going to eat 😝
