@@grantharrison559 Hi Grant! either pop us an email danniandjoetravel@gmail.com or we are on Instagram/Facebook under Danni and Joe
15:55 that’s us!! Just as you went into hyper speed 😂
Ahh the grey wide beam you mentioned!
Love the back ground music
Thank you 🙂
Like the peaky blinders look Joe.
I am a peaky fan & have been wearing flat caps for years on & off so it goes hand in hand now 😂
It was nice to see your father and brother really get involved. Looks like they enjoyed themselves.
Yes we all had a great day! Thank you
Danni and Joe!, My wife and I think you are drinking the wrong tea, Try Yorkshire tea, we can't visit you while your
using the dishwater that you emptied into your tea caddy!. Luv to you both, David and Jackie
We’re partial to a Yorkshire tea just a little limited in the Tesco Express we were by! 😂😂
Really like Joe's hat
Thank you, I am partial to a flat cap, had this one for years!
Thank you May,really enjoyed your kitchen video xx
Laughing my head off here…you are all grand ….most enjoyable vlog, thanks and glad you made it to your new base without too much drama.

Looks like you all had a great day travelling to your new moorings
Yes was a lovely day!
Beautifull episode. Thanks!!
Thanks for watching!
Joe's brother is a hunk.
😬
Hi Danni & Joe, great videos. Been watching your whole boat conversion build from the beginning and really enjoying it.
Have you thought about buying a strong magnet to try and recover the things you drop in the canal? Phones clamps, tools ect.
I have a log burner at home, I use the swiss method to light my fire's, try it out , no news paper needed, you will have less smoke and cleaner burn.
Keep up the great content .
Thank you! Yes been meaning to buy one for a while now but keep forgetting. Will have a look at the Swiss method, Joe’s got a nice book on Scandinavian wood chopping/stacking/lighting
Simply fantastic video
Thank you very much!
Nice one Joe Danni dose that river flood much the boat looks well nice cracking job on the painting have a top week laters 🙂🦆🦢✌️
It does flood most years I believe but we’re on a floating pontoon so should be OK (fingers crossed 😫😂)
Lovely vlog thanks, really enjoyed the Avon journey. Nice mooring, hope it works well. Love the dungarees😍
Thank you!
Really enjoyed this video guys !
Thanks guys! 🌻
Really enjoyable video 👍
Thank you!
Remember going through the last lock in Bath before the river, the second deepest in the UK. Remember the locks on the river being ginormous and also that low bridge. Looking forward to the next video. Regards Tim
Thanks Tim!
I’m sure your on my old mooring there at Keynsham boat yard. I was moored there many moons ago, and I absolutely loved it. Hope to see some more footage of the area please. Lovely little pub downstream, the lock keeper. Had many a boaters party night in there. Tables full of empty glasses, lots of midnight taxis taking us all back to the moorings in the wee hours under the moonlight. Good times, good times.
Ahh quite possibly! We’re by Alan & Shaun if you remember them at all? Yet to visit the pub but I’m sure it’ll become our regular! 😂
@@ItsOhJoe That's great. Ask Allen if he remembers Chris, he helped me with blacking the bottom of my 35ft. We had some great nights at the lock keeper. I wonder if he remembers the John Wayne joke I told him.
Great vlog well done to you all look forward to xx week tc now 👍👋😉🦋
Thank you!
Nice one guys,,, love ya vlogs 👍👍
Thank you!
We use that coffie
Decent Italian espresso, nice little kick to it too 😂
Just see your video glazing the window, I'd always recommend a mastic sealant, however if your worried about it squeezing out over the sides don't worry, you can knife it off once it's dry'd and peal it off the glass.
Here in Christchurch, New Zealand we have the Avon River. Notice the similarities.😄 I wonder if it's possible to run a Narrow Boat in it. Now that would be interesting.
NZ looks beautiful wish we could get our boat there!!
Vevor FLO40 is a great water pump and gives household tap pressure and flow and costs about £45 with filter.
The Vevor one kept popping up, will give that a try next cheers
Hi Danny Joe,so you made it your on the Avon it’s not as bad as you thought, nice to have company as well some beautiful scenery and nice big locks as well .Danny how do you get on with your coffee machine think of getting one not expensive as lots of other makes 😊some big beautiful houses on the banks think I might buy one pmsl 😅 ,got to say Joe you look so happy today love your Andy panda pants lol hehe 😊🤣😂 ,Danny you look a right river man with your cap on from the 60s ,did your gusts go when you moored up ,I hope you don’t have a gas leek with your fire on the go 😮 this was a great blog very interesting and enjoyable bet you are pleased to get the catch window fitted what was on the glass to make you take it out and refit it ,well till next time take care keep yourself safe,John 🌹👀🫣😂😂🤫🤫🤭👍🤩🎃🎃😡🤬🤬
Thanks John! Yes find the machine good, it’s a great starting machine to get used to the mess they make. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KGR92MD?tag=onamzjosephbl-21&linkCode=ssc&creativeASIN=B07KGR92MD&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3IT8YD59B283Q&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m_asin
We had to take the silicone off the glass as when it compressed it shot up past the bead and just looked bad really
They are called GATES not doors. Liked the dub tho, have you tried anything by King Tubby? If you really want to feel small, we went up the Thames in the 60s in camping punts. In those Thames locks, it was a bit like being a matchstick down a toilet size wise. £4:99 still cheap against the original cost, ( it is for charity after all). We stayed in Goathland, aka Aidensfield, and when they were filming the camera crew let you stay in the street, but you had to stay very quiet. All good fun.
Gates, that’s the one! Oh wow bet that was an experience on the Thames! Never looked into where it was set, we’ve added that to our travel list, awesome!
😮 get a cork ball on your keys!! what happens if they fall in the canal!!
I’ll be jumping back in! Thanks for the reminder to order some though 😂
Should be using fore and aft lines in locks bit dangerous if not
I live in Bath, just about to move onto a boat. Got it craned in at Devises and finally got to Bradford today. It was not good weather for navigation!!
Love watching you two!
Thank you! Ohh that’s exciting! Is it a wide beam? Saw a photo of a rather nice one being craned in at Devizes on Facebook!
@@ItsOhJoe If it was blue it was probably mine! Takes a while to move a boat when you still need to be in your flat overnight until it's close enough to actually move onto!
@@theleftbob yes that’s the one then, what a beauty. Have you got a mooring or CC’ing? Are you braving the Avon too?
@@ItsOhJoe I'll be cc'ing soon. Still going through the process of downsizing my life from a flat with no storage to a boat with loads of storage but mostly taken up by fuel to burn! I've already made a few daft mistakes, I caught my pram cover on a bolt on the last lock bridge at Foxhangers and ripped it open, so that's removed my covered storage at the stern. A few choice words were said! I can't stay onboard yet as my dog doesn't walk far, so I've got to wait until I get to Bath so I'm close enough for her. I really can't wait!
Wow great adventure loved it guys. We have watch you from the beginning and so love being part of you lives thank you.
Thanks Caroline!
Desert camo? Interesting. We hope to do woodland camo on ours when we get a boat
I should’ve said Dazzle, do like the woodland though!
@@ItsOhJoe Advantage of a multi colour boat is when patching up as you may only need to repaint a small section instead of the whole boat
Great video guys, also a big thanks to your family for helping you to get where you are today on the river now Joe.
Thanks Paul yes really grateful, nice to have a bit of backup just incase 😂
I loved watching this, why do rivers ‘scare’ so many narrowboaters? I would be too 😂 and the regae beat on this was fun to hear as well…on Saturday I visit my 6th or 7th boat…at Kilworth, wish me luck, I think it might be the one 😬 it’s a good deal and may go…but hope not 😊
Just the thought of being swept downstream over a weir I think! 😫😂 oh wow, hopefully it’s the one!
Great video!! We are set to do this route soon and watching this made us feel so much better! 😮💨 was nervous too!
You smashed it 👏🏻
Aw good luck!! The river is flowing fast now 😬
Great video. Your boat looks great. Keep warm for the winter months Danni and Joe Big hugs to you both 👍💞
Thank you!
Great vlog! You handled the Avon beautifully ! The boat really looks good. You both did a marvelous job just curious. Who were your guests on the boat? They sure helped out a lot. Have a great time on the river and I look forward as always to your next vlog !
Great video!
Thanks Christine 🙂
Lovely to see you cruising. Lady Penny Bun looked green today for the first time, must have been the autumn light behaving itself and not raining on you - at least while you were cruising.
😂😂 yes is it us or is it getting greener? Could be the light like you said!
Another brilliant video guys, happy river cruising, 😁👍
Thank you!
The larger Victron socket and plug is because they're intended for 32amp supplies rather than 16amp which is the smaller size. The larger size of plugs and sockets is to ensure you can't plug 32amps into 16amp systems. Although the actual Victron cables are very expensive but 6mm "arctic blue" cable (from Screwfix/Amazon) is fine. The important thing is to ensure that all the cable in your system is rated high enough for 32 amps if you're using a 32amp socket, including the cable through your galvanic isolator.
My new shore power cable is 6mm arctic blue with a Victron plug on one end (with the screw fastening) and on the other end one of the larger male plugs. My regular shore power is 16amps so I'm going to make a little jumper cable which can connect the 32amp male to a 16amp male which means I can still plug into 16amp supplies. The cabling behind the socket is also 6mm arctic blue.
Nice mooring too!
This ones only a 16a (with the 2.5mm2), so even more confusing if it was to stop 32a going in. God knows, it works well though.
@@ItsOhJoe If your shore power is 16a with a 32a plug it's strange but totally fine. The problem is if you wire up your system with a 32a socket and only use 2.5mm cables as that wouldn't be rated for 32a. Best to use 6mm cable behind the socket too.
Great scenery.
Lovely part of the country!
There's something special about being on a nice wide river after miles of canals! You both did great 👏👏. Three cheers for your 'crew' 👍. With regard to 'out of date' food, treat that as a guideline. If it smells good and looks good it is sure to taste good.
Absolutely love the river so far even in the bad weather! Yes we agree, although Joe’s got the stronger stomach for checking milk 😂
Great to see you cruising and love your new mooring. Great charity shop buys too. Have a great week both of you. Best wishes Christine x
Thanks Christine 🙂
Jolly well done you 2 ( + 2 😊) coming out of Bath looked lovely and certainly on our to do list. Then onto the river. Brilliant video and awesome to see you travel 🥂🥂
Thank you!
Very nice volg ,👍👍👍👍
Thanks 🙂
Great to see you out and about love your vlogs x
Thank you! 🙂
Great video. Lovely scenery.
Thanks Kate!
Great video loved the scenery and journey. Glad you arrived safe at your destination. Have great week 😊
Thank you!
New subscriber, love you guys! Stay safe and keep the videos coming 🙂 x
Thank you!
Danni, you had a blonde moment (didn't know there were locks on the river??) 😅 Are you using your drone to get the aerial views? 🤔 Glenn and Marion X
Great video. Everyone looks so happy and getting it done. The Boat came out so well. You should be very proud for all that you guys have done.
Ahh thank you so much!
Great vlog and what an achievement. Wow. Love your boat. And lovely cruise. Brilliant. Best wishes
Thanks Trevor!
Hi Danni, Joe and Family. What a great cruise on the River. Well done on the Locks. Danni's soup looked really tasty. The River Avon was fast flowing towards the end of the Vlog, did you put any extra ropes out? Well done connecting up the shore power cable. Another great and well edited Vlog. Thank you. Have a great week. Take care.
Thank you! Yes river was going some, compared to the canal at least. We’ve got three decent lines connecting us to a pontoon so should be nice and secure 🙂
Cracking video 😘
Thank you Wayne!
Great vlog, hope you enjoy the river. We were nervous when we went on the Trent earlier this year. Take care x
After the first hour we felt a lot more relaxed and started to enjoy it! Would love to do the Trent
nice little cruise...did you say hello to the bard???
Thank you! Had to google bard!
Hi. I thought you 2 would be wearing life preservers on a fast flowing river.
Yes you know what, on the day we thought we should probably get some life jackets. We meant to order some as soon as we bought the boat. We’ll be ordering some asap, there is a life ring and ladder on board but definitely need the jackets
@@ItsOhJoe good to hear this. Did comment before this before. I had a bad experience 15 years recovering a body from the river Trent in the notts area. This river like many has lethal under currents. This gent had fell from a cruiser. Had he worn a preserver he may have survived. So be good to see you both setting a good example to other boat users. Stay safe. Dave.
Always top videos, thanks
Thank you!
This might sound stupid...but can u not get an attachment for ur cordless for them low geared locks ?
Great music, where are you both from ?as I recognise Danni. I lived in Keynsham and now in Corsham.
We grew up around Shepton 🙂
Nice one, love the music guys who is it please
you should have mentioned you wanted a granny square lap blanket, i crochet, could have made you one
Ahhh shame! Is two too many?
@@ItsOhJoe no, 2 is never too many, what size would you like, you also strike me as a shawl type of person, snuggling in a warm shawl in winter with a hot cuppa
@@gilliantempleton3253 oh fantastic! Umm we’d probably use it in the cosy bow deck area so similar size? Do you sell the shawls?
@@ItsOhJoe i crochet stuff a lot of stuff and no i dont sell them, i gift them. Igift them to people i like and to some you tubers wose channels i follow as a thank you for keeping me entertained as i crochet stuff.
@@gilliantempleton3253 Ahh that's really sweet! Well Danni wouldn't say no to a blanket at least, we'd say we could promote your business if you sold them!
Did the company you bought gas heater from sort the problem?
Great that you shared your journey with us, fantastic. Music is a bit crap though 😂
Rarely get anyone against the music choices so tend to roll with it, any song in particular?
Did anyone else's mouth water at 6:30? 😊
Being so long sighted how do you see to put contacts in ? 😮
Bit of a hope for the best scenario every time I use them 😂
ee cider drinkers
Don’t slice cables open with a knife on you leg 😬🫣
😬😬
I thought yellow cable was 110 volts and blue 240 volts.
Yes true for building sites, the normal hookup leads are either blue or orange. Victron is a Dutch company so guess it’s a European thing.
@@ItsOhJoe 👍
👍👍👍 see you next week
you can use any colour you want. Yellow normally building site as its 'high viz' so usually associated with 110V but there's no law against using what you want.
Fookin Ell !
😂😂
Hey I’m all caught up with your videos on your playlist and I thought I’d mention you have an oddball video there that’s not yours. Cool show thanks
Thanks for that, how strange! - just removed it
