@@conorf8091 True, Legion was the first modern expansion, but Dragonflight is almost nothing like Legion and BFA. I also think that Legion and BFA are great, outside of PVP. I also preferred a more complex class design, but nowadays anything WotLK and above is good with me. Shadowlands would have been great if there was no time gating and was alt-friendly, and had 4 raid tiers.
a little pro tip for all the tanks, especially dk tanks out there in cata: the tol barad resistance trinket is not only good in early cata, its also fabulous against baloroc in firelands. dk tanks also keep hands on your sindragosa res trinkets. with the sindragosa and the tol barad trinket dk tanks can cheese baloroc and solo tank him but thats only possible with both of these trinkets.
Cata is the MOST alt friendly expansion WoW has ever had for a large number of reasons. There isn't a ton of upkeep on a toon once you get through the initial hump, so you will have PLENTY of time to spend with alts. =)
Sooner or later, you reach saturation point with vanilla. I was hopeful and kept going back to seasons and hardcore on the chance that classic plus became a thing. Now after playing SoD things are clearly in focus for me. Seasons are dead ends. I really liked the class balancing (within limits) and the rune system, even though it's just mechanics from later expansions. But it seems pretty clear there's no actual new raiding/5man content that doesn't involve a majority of recycled content. Maybe there will be a Kara crypts, I don't know, but endlessly replaying vanilla content shows me a couple of things - I'm really good at it after all this practice and it's become a chore. It's also unclear how blizzard is going to handle the power creep towards endgame. Some of the BFD loot is comparable to mid 40's dungeon drops. What will Gnomer loot be like? Inevitably when we get to existing endgame content will they fall back on their standard strategy.. buff MC boss HP and damage but nothing else new? So, I'll keep an open mind for classic plus but it's a fair way down the track (at the soonest after SoD) if it happens. I'll probably keep a presence in SoD but now that Wrath is done, I'm looking forward to Cata.
They should add m+ and great vault to SOD and cata . It’s the only content that is actual challenging and you can push your character and your dps to its fullest using full utility
Is there a chance that you make some dungeon guides ? Since there are some tricky trahs packs and boss mechanics, they seem to be quite essential for a smooth run.
I have actually been thinking about it, but that’s not something I want to tackle on a private server for a myriad of reasons, namely how they are going to be balanced, if we do get pre nerf heroics, a private server will not do it justice. So if I get lucky and get a beta key dungeons are my first priority
Going back and doing quests at lvl 85 for gold and rep would be the worst thing you could do. You'd rather just spam heroics and get 1 boe in 5 dungeons and sell it for few thousands of gold early on or even the disenchanting materials you get from disenchant rolls would be more worthwhile for gold, and in terms of rep, just get to the lvl you can grab the tabard and grind away the rep of your choosing. Cap on justice and full 346 ilvl? Convert it to profession materials, ez. Don't do quests for those reasons at lvl 85, trust.
Therazane exalted shoulder enchants were not BoA in Cataclysm. Even to this day on live servers, they are not BoA. You may be seeing them as BoA on your private server.
Does anyone know ho wlong it takes to get from Honoured to Exalted with earthern ring and wildhammer etc ? im wondering if ill be able to get 3-4 of them to exalted in 2 weeks xD
It's actually hilarious how everyone who doesn't like cata has absolutely nothing to say about why they don't like it beyond #1: the old world is gone and #2 the game is too hard. So basically you suck at the game or you suck at the game, either way just go back to animal crossing. We don't want bad players mucking everything up cuz you can't even follow a basic mechanic 😂

Lol what? Cata is the last best expansion. If you don't like it don't play, you've got your hardcore vanilla game for those who want the most boring watered down experience of auto attacking till 60. Purely garbage game Design. The only people who like it are the ones who don't like pressing more than 2 buttons because they're not skilled enough for a complex rotation or actual mechanics.. or simply want to play a warrior and walk all over everyone else without struggle. Vanilla was bad, No matter how you slice it.

I think the prejudace against Cata is too high for people to enjoy it, but I think more people will enjoy it than expected. Same goes for WoD and BFA.

Uldum and Twilight Highlands are such good zones I cant wait to play Cata again

Yes mate, Im aware they weren't but I recommend you take a look at the Sons of Hodir in wrath - no reason that shouldn't be repeated in cataclysm.
